Abstract

This research aims to analyze the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats to the efforts to establish MWB in East Kotawaringin Regency. This study analyzed the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats to efforts to establish MWB in East Kotawaringin Regency. This research used a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Collecting data using observation, interviews, and documentation was processed using Fred's SWOT analysis technique R. David. The results showed through a SWOT analysis that the strategic position of the potential for the establishment of a Micro Waqf Bank in East Kotawaringin Regency, which is located in quadrant II from the internal side, has strength with the existence of a business unit managed by Islamic boarding schools. Still, from external factors, there are threats, namely low Islamic financial literacy. The strategy must be applied to use strengths to take advantage of opportunities. Among the Islamic boarding schools in East Kotawaringin Regency, Pondok Pesantren of Sabilal Muhtadin has the most potential for establishing a Micro Waqf Bank. This is based on Pondok Pesantren of Sabilal Muhtadin having a cooperative business unit already a legal entity. A sizeable socioeconomic impact on the Islamic boarding school community and has implemented one of the strategies to increase Islamic financial literacy.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of Good Amil Governance (GAG) in zakat management at LAZ Nurul Fikri, Palangka Raya. This study focuses on six main principles: transparency, accountability, responsibility, independence, fairness, and Sharia compliance. The method used is descriptive qualitative, with data collection through semi-structured interviews with key informants, direct observation, and documentation review. Data analysis was conducted using the Miles and Huberman model, including data reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results show that LAZ Nurul Fikri has significantly implemented GAG principles, especially in transparency and accountability, as reflected in using a digital system for financial reports, routine internal and external audits, and information disclosure to stakeholders. However, responsibility and independence remain due to limited human resources and low public awareness of zakat. Supporting factors include an efficient reporting system and high muzaki participation, while inhibiting factors are a weak collaboration network and poor zakat literacy. This research offers practical implications for zakat institutions, policymakers, and academics, emphasizing the importance of digitalization, human resource development, and strategic collaboration. Future research should conduct cross-regional comparisons and use a mixed-methods approach to strengthen the results.

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to explore the development of sustainable business models for halal products in Indonesia, focusing on environmentally friendly and ethical production, distribution, and marketing aspects. The research combines data from literature review, academic journals, government policies, and recent news sources to provide a comprehensive overview of the opportunities and challenges faced by the halal industry. The findings indicate that Indonesia has significant potential to become a global halal sustainable industry hub through efficient production practices, the implementation of digital technologies such as blockchain for supply chain transparency, and green marketing strategies that broaden the halal market beyond Muslim consumers to a global audience. However, internal obstacles such as limited human resources and halal certification issues, alongside regulatory and market competition challenges, still need to be addressed. Key recommendations include strengthening Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles, multi-stakeholder pentahelix collaboration, human resource development, and regulatory harmonization to enhance the sustainability and global competitiveness of Indonesia’s halal industry. Keywords: Sustainable business model; Halal products; Indonesian halal industry   Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi pengembangan model bisnis berkelanjutan pada produk halal di Indonesia dengan fokus pada aspek produksi, distribusi, dan pemasaran yang ramah lingkungan dan etis. Studi ini menggabungkan data dari literatur, jurnal akademik, kebijakan pemerintah, dan sumber berita terkini untuk memberikan gambaran menyeluruh mengenai potensi dan tantangan dalam industri halal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Indonesia memiliki peluang besar menjadi pusat industri halal berkelanjutan melalui penerapan praktik produksi efisien, penggunaan teknologi digital seperti blockchain untuk transparansi rantai pasok, serta strategi pemasaran hijau yang memperluas pasar halal bukan hanya untuk konsumen Muslim, tapi juga pasar global yang lebih luas. Namun, masih terdapat hambatan internal seperti keterbatasan sumber daya manusia dan sertifikasi halal, serta tantangan regulasi dan persaingan pasar yang perlu diatasi. Rekomendasi utama penelitian ini meliputi penguatan prinsip Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG), kolaborasi multi-pihak pentahelix, pengembangan kapasitas SDM, dan harmonisasi regulasi sertifikasi untuk mendukung keberlanjutan dan daya saing global industri halal Indonesia. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) Mengetahui bagaimana program ternak ayam kampung binaan BAZNAS Kotawaringin Barat di kampung Bungur dan (2) Mengetahui formulasi strategi yang paling sesuai dengan letak posisi kuadran program tersebut sesuai analisis SWOT. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode campuran (mixed method) dengan strategi eksploratif skuensial, dimana pendekatan kualitatif pada tahap awal menggunakan teknik observasi dan wawancara, kemudian pendekatan kuantitatif dengan teknik kuesioner. Selanjutnya data akan diolah dengan analisis SWOT. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan: (1) Program ternak ayam kampung binaan BAZNAS Kobar di Bungur adalah program pemberdayaan ekonomi mustahik dengan penyaluran bantuan yang bersifat perorangan, adapun kelompok Puaka Bungur Barokah dibentuk seiring berjalannya program dan diketahui kegiatan kelompok sangat tidak aktif. (2) Terdapat delapan faktor internal dan enam faktor eksternal yang sangat berpengaruh terhadap usaha ternak mustahik. Selanjutnya berdasarkan sebaran kuesioner untuk metode kuantitatif SWOT diketahui bahwa posisi strategis program terletak di kuadran III, formulasi strategi yang sesuai untuk posisi ini adalah strategi turnaround
