Abstract

The interest in saving for non-Muslims is still relatively low in Langsa City due to several influencing factors. This research aims to analyze the influence of sharia financial literacy on the perception and interest in saving of non-Muslim communities at Sharia Banks in Langsa City. The sampling technique in this research used purposive sampling involving 40 respondents. The data analysis method used in this research is Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with a variance-based approach or component-based structural equation modeling with path analysis. The research results reveal that the variables of Sharia Financial Literacy and perception have a positive effect on Interest in Saving. Apart from that, the perception variable also acts as a mediating variable between the influence of Sharia Financial Literacy on Interest in Saving. The implications of this research reveal that it is important to involve non-Muslims in education programs and sharia financial literacy campaigns to change the non-Muslim community's perception of sharia banks in a positive direction and attract more non-Muslim customers to use sharia banking services.

Abstract

Indonesia, possessing the largest economic volume among Muslim-majority countries, plays a pivotal role in the global economy, particularly through its export activities. This study examines the factors influencing Indonesia's export performance and its economic interactions with the five largest economies within the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) member countries: Saudi Arabia, Turkiye, Iran, Nigeria, and the United Arab Emirates. Utilizing a random effect panel data model, the analysis spans from 1989 to 2021. The findings reveal that variables such as GDP, Distance, Economic Similarity Index, and Exchange Rate of these OIC countries positively impact Indonesia's exports. Additionally, Indonesia's exports significantly contribute to the GDP growth of these OIC nations. The study underscores the importance of Indonesia's trade in enhancing the economic capacities of OIC partner countries, thereby boosting national economic output and foreign exchange reserves. The results advocate for the revitalization of trade agreements and the maintenance of conducive relations among OIC countries to fortify their collective economic strength.========================================================================================================ABSTRAK – Analisis Model Gravitasi Peran Perdagangan Indonesia di Negara-negara OKI.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the determinants of public interest in the use of QRIS in Sharia Banks with a focus on Langsa City - one of the cities in Aceh which is a province that implements the Islamic financial system. The independent variables tested included promotion, religiosity, education, and financial ability. Shariah financial literacy is considered as an intermediary variable that plays a role in connecting independent variables with dependent variables, namely interest in using QRIS. Considering that literacy and interest in using digital finance in Aceh, especially Langsa City, are still low, this research is important in understanding the factors that affect public interest. This study involved 100 respondents from Langsa City who were randomly taken with a quantity determined through the method of determining the number of Slovin. The analysis method used in this study is the Structural Equation Modeling - Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) Method which serves to identify whether the effect of independent variables on dependent variables occurs directly, or through intermediate variables (intermediation). The results of the study show that promotion, religiosity, education, and financial ability significantly affect financial literacy, which then has a positive impact on interest in using QRIS.These findings are expected to help Islamic banking and the government in designing strategies to increase the adoption of digital financial services in Aceh, especially Langsa City.
