Abstract

Abstract. Subang Regency is one of the biggest corn producing regions in West Java besides Garut and Karawang. The average corn production in Subang Regency reached 1,318.4 tons or 1.2% (2008-2012) (Darmawan, Safei, & Hamdani, 2014). The quality and quantity of corn production is influenced by the process of handling the harvest and post-harvest. Post-harvest problems that are often experienced by farmers are the shrinking of the quantity and quality of maize yields due to the corn shelling process which is still done manually so that it is less efficient and low productivity. The purpose of this research is to produce a corn sheller machine that is simple, does not take up a large place in its placement, and is relatively inexpensive and easy to maintain. The method in this research is the study of literature, reading work drawings, making work preparations, preparing tools and materials, manufacturing processes, and testing the performance of tools. The results of this study are the corn sheller machine created with dimensions of length 500 cm, width 49 cm and height 100 cm, capacity of 2 kg / minute with 1400 rpm rotation. Based on the performance test results obtained that an increase in production capacity with a corn sheller machine that is 1 minute can produce 2.7 kg of shelled corn, while manually can only produce 1 ounce or 0.1 kg in 1 minute. So the comparison is obtained manually and machine that is 1: 27. In addition, the results of shelled corn has good quality or the seeds are not damaged. Keywords: Corn, Shelling Machine, Manufacture

Abstract

Information and communication technology at this time is developing very rapidly, including in the easier dissemination of information. With the sophisticated technology in conveying information, it is possible that there is information that is not certain of its truth. The issue that occurs is due to the discrepancy of expectations expected by distributors, kiosks, and farmers.  The amount of issue data obtained greatly affects the efficiency of the results that will be obtained. Therefore, it is necessary to have a text analysis  to find out the issues spread in the field regarding the services of products and services provided by PT XYZ. In this study, it applied the CRISP-DM research stages and the application of the K-Nearest Neighbor (KNN) algorithm  which showed that the resulting accuracy rate was 93.88% with data of 2,500 data. And the highest precission value is obtained by the payment qualification of 98.67%.

Abstract

The use of family medicinal plants (Tanaman Obat Keluarga/TOGA) has long been an integral part of local wisdom, passed down through generations in various regions, including among the Family Welfare Empowerment (PKK) women's group in Cot Bada Village. While the group has extensive experience in cultivating medicinal plants, the downstream processing of these resources into value-added products remains suboptimal. This community service program aims to enhance the skills of the PKK women's group in Cot Bada Village, Aceh Besar, in processing lemongrass and ginger into a herbal tea product called Teh Haleu. Through training based on appropriate technology, participants were introduced to the tea production process, including selecting high-quality ingredients, drying using a Food dehydrator Tray, and packaging the product attractively to meet market standards. Additionally, financial management and marketing training was provided to support the sustainability of the business. The program's outcomes revealed that the PKK women successfully produced Teh Haleu ready for sale with high-quality standards, receiving positive feedback from the market. As a follow-up, plans include mass production and obtaining BPOM and halal certifications to enhance the product's competitiveness and economic potential. This program delivers economic benefits and empowers the community to optimize local resources effectively and sustainably.
