Abstract

Polivinylidene fluoride (PVDF) is one type of polymer. PVDF is commonly used as a force, heat and strain sensors due to its piezoelectric properties. However, it needs a special process to create the piezoelectric properties of PDVF. One of the special process to create the piezoelectric properties is surface polarization of PVDF. Two electrodes were placed on the surface of PVDF and a high-voltage DC electricity was used for polarization process. In this study, Piezoresponse Force Microscopy (PFM) and Fourier Transformed Infrared (FTIR) was used to determine the results of the surface polarization. The results showed that PVDF with lateral polarization has a more orderly domain direction and a higher β phase compared to unpolarized PVDF. In addition, the quality decreased with increasing the electrode distance in the lateral polarization.

Abstract

Abstract. Subang Regency is one of the biggest corn producing regions in West Java besides Garut and Karawang. The average corn production in Subang Regency reached 1,318.4 tons or 1.2% (2008-2012) (Darmawan, Safei, & Hamdani, 2014). The quality and quantity of corn production is influenced by the process of handling the harvest and post-harvest. Post-harvest problems that are often experienced by farmers are the shrinking of the quantity and quality of maize yields due to the corn shelling process which is still done manually so that it is less efficient and low productivity. The purpose of this research is to produce a corn sheller machine that is simple, does not take up a large place in its placement, and is relatively inexpensive and easy to maintain. The method in this research is the study of literature, reading work drawings, making work preparations, preparing tools and materials, manufacturing processes, and testing the performance of tools. The results of this study are the corn sheller machine created with dimensions of length 500 cm, width 49 cm and height 100 cm, capacity of 2 kg / minute with 1400 rpm rotation. Based on the performance test results obtained that an increase in production capacity with a corn sheller machine that is 1 minute can produce 2.7 kg of shelled corn, while manually can only produce 1 ounce or 0.1 kg in 1 minute. So the comparison is obtained manually and machine that is 1: 27. In addition, the results of shelled corn has good quality or the seeds are not damaged. Keywords: Corn, Shelling Machine, Manufacture

Abstract

Pandemik Covid-19 di Indonesia menimbulkan permasalahan pada Usaha Kecil Menengah (UKM) Mukti Raharja yaitu penurunan omset pendapatan hingga 50% karena sebagian besar transaksi penjualan dilakukan secara offline. Permasalahan selanjutnya yaitu mitra UKM masih kekurangan mesin pengupas kopi cherry (mesin pulper kopi) karena baru memiliki satu buah mesin sehingga hasil panen petani kopi tidak dapat diolah seluruhnya. Metode pemecahan masalah yang dilakukan yaitu setelah dilakukan identifikasi permasalahan dan kebutuhan mitra, dibuat rancangan mesin pulper kopi dan tampilan website sesuai kebutuhan mitra UKM, selanjutnya dilakukan proses pembuatan mesin pulper kopi berkapasitas 360 kg/jam serta aplikasi website hingga dilakukan serah terima alat berupa mesin pulper kopi, aplikasi website beserta set komputer, kamera dan sealer serta dilakukan pendampingan untuk penerapan teknologi tersebut. Hasil kegiatan yaitu bertambahnya kapasitas produksi dengan adanya mesin pulper kopi kapasitas 360 kg/jam, daya motor 1,5 hp, daya total 1500 Watt dan telah diaplikasikan penjualan online berbasis website melalui link http://kopicanggah.com/ dengan pendapatan tambahan dari penjualan online sebesar Rp. 3.530.000; sebanyak 16 transaksi selama 22 hari dan mengalami peningkatan sebesar 41% dari pendapatan bulan sebelumnya.

Abstract

PVDF is one of the materials that has piezoelectric properties that are often used  as sensors  or  actuators.  This  piezoelectric property  can be  activated through a stretching process, and then polarized by giving a DC voltage of 4KV. In this study, PVDF material was polarized by the surface polarization method, which were the results tested using d33 meters. The test results show that the value of d33 is 31,32C/N. After being tested using d33 meters, the PVDF material that has been polarized on the surface was tested as a force sensor whose output voltage was measured using an oscilloscope. The result of test carried out by increasing and decreasing load testing and then sensitivity measurements test. The result of increasing and decreasing load test obtained the biggest deviation is 0.35. The results of the calculation of the sensitivity of the PVDF sensor with a surface polarization is 0.0615V / N. Keywords: Surface polarization, Force sensor, PVDF sensor

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to make a preventive maintenance plan for the dry organic fertilizer mixing machine for tobacco farming with the Inspection, Small repair, Medium repair, Overhaul which is called ISMO method. The steps of the study carried out were data collection by observation and literature studies, then component identification, maintenance schedules, maintenance procedure plans and expert validation. The results of the study are the preventive maintenance schedule for the mixer machine consisting of a monthly schedule and an annual schedule using the ISMO method. The total time required for inspection maintenance activities is 240 minutes, small repair is 210 minutes, and medium repair is 20 minutes. Based on the validation results, the maintenance schedule has been feasible to be applied to a dry organic fertilizer mixer machine for tobacco farming and total maintenance time used along a year are inspection 240 minutes, small repair 214 minutes and medium repair as 20 minutes.

Abstract

Non Destructive Testing is a method of inspection that used in aircraft maintenance. Penetrant test is one type of Non Destructive Test (NDT) which is applied to screw tail rotor drive material. The purpose of this study was to determine the presence of defects, cracks, or other discontinuities without damaging the object being tested or inspected. The design research of applying the penetrant test to screw tail rotor drive material containing ferrous (fe) used the 'D' method, which is by dipping the material into the penetrant liquid with a waiting time of 20 minutes, then cleaning it using water and an emulsifier and drying using an oven. Before the inspection is carried out, the material is sprayed with a developer with a waiting time of 10 minutes, then the material is checked for defects or not. The test results showed that there was no defect in the form of a crack, but found an indication that is included in the non-relevant indication, which is an indication of the shape or design of the material found in the screw section.

Abstract

Shield Metal arc welding (SMAW) is one of ways which are usually used for welding steel low carbon. The quality of the welding connection can be grouped by using pull testing, and Vickers method. This study aims to know the strength of pulling and hardness welding connection with the variation of electrodes and current. This study used carbon steel ST 40 with an electrode which is used E 6010 and E 7016 with the current variations 80 ampere, 90 ampere and 100 ampere. The result produced the result to the power of certainly drag out from a current of 80 a use electrodes 6010 was recorded at 34,92 kg / mm2. Of tensile strength with a current of 90 a shall be 37.43 kg / mm2 and tensile strength the use of a 100 a shall be 40,63. The force of attraction to the electrode 7016 is promoting the creation of ampere 80 is 33,11 kg / mm2, ampere 90 of tensile strength him it is the same 35,57 kg / mm2 while using ampere 100 of tensile strength that is produced is 37,76 kg / mm2. The difference between the value of the force of attraction for a current is 80 a 1,81 kg / mm2. A current of 90 a 1,86 kg / mm2 and with a current of 100 a 2,87 kg / mm2 for the material structure image on the fault of drag monitoring shows the material is ductile because the fault looks low and high.

Abstract

     Abstract. The pulper coffee machine technology is one of the tools for peeling cericoffee beans which is applied at UKM Mukti Raharja to increase its coffee production capacity. Meanwhile, a website-based online sales application with the link: http://kopicanggah.com/ is one of the technologies applied to increase the sales of UKM. The purpose of this service program is to increase production capacity and increase sales. The service methods carried out consist of identification of UKM needs, website design/design and pulper coffee machines and training modules, training operational assistance and implementation of pulper coffee machines and website-based online sales applications, service program outputs. The results obtained, namely, the trial application of the pulper coffee machine obtained a machine capacity of 360 kg/hour, a total power of 1500 Watts, and a motor power of 1.5 hp. The results of the application website-based online sales were 16 transactions over 22 days with a total transaction of Rp. 3,530,000 or an increase in sales as 41% from the previous month's income.             Abstrak. Teknologi mesin pulper kopi merupakan salah satu alat untuk mengupas biji kopi ceriyang diterapkan di UKM Mukti Raharja untuk meningkatkan kapasitas produksi kopinya. Sedangkan aplikasi penjualan online berbasis website dengan link: http://kopicanggah.com/ merupakan salah satu teknologi yang diterapkan untuk meningkatkan omset penjualan UKM. Tujuan program pengabdian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kapasitas produksi dan meningkatkan omset penjualan dari UKM. Metode pengabdian yang dilakukan terdiri dari: identifikasi kebutuhan UKM, desain/perancangan website dan mesin pulper kopi serta modul pelatihannya, pendampingan operasional pelatihan dan implementasi mesin pulper kopi dan aplikasi penjualan online berbasis website, output program pengabdian. Hasil yang diperoleh yaitu uji coba pengaplikasian mesin pulper kopi diperoleh kapasitas mesin sebesar 360 kg/jam, daya total 1500 Watt dan daya motor 1,5 hp. Hasil pengaplikasian penjualan online berbasis website yaitu diperoleh 16 transaksi selama 22 hari dengan total transaksi sebesar Rp. 3.530.000 atau mengalami peningkatan omset sebesar 41% dari pendapatan bulan sebelumnya.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat berupa pembuatan alat, pelatihan diversifikasi dan pelatihan manajemen untuk petani buah rambutan di Desa Ciruluk, Kabupaten Subang, Provinsi Jawa Barat. Tanggal 12 Februari – 30 Juli 2020. Hasil Pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah adanya alat yang membantu proses pemanen buah rambutan, pelatihan pembuatan olahan buah rambutan dan pembentukan kelompok usaha bersama. Program pengabdian Masyarakat ini sebagai bentuk pelaksanaan Tri Darma Perguruan Tinggi bagi POLSUB dan menyambung tali silaturami Antara Perguruan Tinggi dengan Masyarakat.

Abstract

PVDF sensor is a sensor that is often used to measure force, strain, vibration and heat. In this study, PVDF sensors with surface polarization are used to detect cutting forces on the machine. The PVDF sensor that has been polarized on the surface is placed in the chuck part of the engine. Measuring instrumen for testing and calibrating PVDF sensors is oscilloscope with increased loading and reduced axial and tangential directions. After the calibration process, the PVDF sensor was used to measure cutting force on drilling machine, and then the results were compared with the PCB piezotronics force sensor. The PVDF sensor output signal is measured and studied for its voltage using an oscilloscope, where the output signal is compared to the weight given to the PVDF sensor. From the results of these tests indicate that the maximum deviation in axial loading is 0.32V while the tangential loading is 0.31VKeywords.
