Abstract

By learning and researching the wave-length of light and its propagation we can make an observation of the function and effectiveness light as a stimulation in fishing.The purposes of the observation are: to know how the color of light lamp influences to the result of fishing; to observe how the depth of location for fishing influences the reduction of light intensity; to know what is the relation between parameter condition/ atmosphere (salinity, temperature and transparency of the water) with the result of fishing.The observation is applied with a direct observation method in water of Batu Dua- Ambon Island.The total result of fishing is 57.2 kilograms with applied for us different light lamp (red, yellow, green and blue). Each color applied has the result: the red light lamps got amount of 4.5 kg; the yellow light lamps got amount of 15,1 kg ; the green light lamps got amount 17.4 kg; and the blue light lamps got amount of 20.2 kg.Data analysis statistically using an analysis of variance system which indicates that the stimulation light lamp influences to the result of fishing.Result of the statistical observation shows that parameter conditions/ atmosphere in the water, such as salinity. temperature, transparency of the water, such as: salinity, temperature, transparency of the water do not influence to the result of fishing.

Abstract

Forecasting is an activity to use the past data as the basic to predict the future event that will occur. The result from the prediction is an un-sure event or just a guess, but with some certain methods then the prediction will be more than a guess, it means that it is a scientific guess. The data analysis technique with autoregressive integrated moving average (ARIMA) method can give the early information that is needed as the material for the consideration to take the decision and the action itself

Abstract

Beberapa wilayah di Provinsi Maluku memiliki bentuk topografi pantai yang dari waktu ke waktu mengalami perubahan terhadap struktur garis pantainya. Faktor utama yang turut berpengaruh adalah profil pola gelombang laut dan pola arus permukaan pada pesisir pantai.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkarakterisasi serta menganalisis profil gelombang laut dan arus air laut pada tujuh lokasi pantai di Provinsi Maluku.Dengan pengukuran periode gelombang T, tinggi gelombang H, maka dihitung panjang gelombang L dan energi gelombang E. Kemudian dianalisis dengan menggunakan excel dan analisis klaster hirarkhi dengan program SPSS. Kecepatan arus dihitung dan dianalisis pada ketujuh lokasi pantai.Hasil yang diperoleh pada ketujuh lokasi tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa energi gelombang dan kecepatan arus di Teluk Baguala memiliki karakteristik yang berbeda terhadap enam lokasi pantai yang lain.

Abstract

Groyne is very important to protect the coastline with the concept of maintaining the balance of sediment transport. Groyne building in theory can work well if worked in groups or more than one. In this study, the Passo beach location was chosen because there is an existing groyne building that, if seen on Google Earth, has been damaged by the scattering of the constituent rocks. If the groyne cannot work to balance the sediment transport, it may occur that mass destruction to the infrastructure behind the groyne itself, such as regional roads, may occur. To find out the level of damage, an in-depth study needs to be carried out. In this paper, Delft-3D mathematical modeling was carried out to investigate groyne damage by looking at the performance of groyne in maintaining the balance of sediment transport in the Passo beach area. Hydrodynamic and coastal sediment modeling analyses were carried out in wet and dry season conditions. Modeling was carried out over one month with a morphology factor of 12 to obtain sediment transport for one year. In the existing dry season conditions, it shows that at the observation point, there is erosion of 2 meters, and in the wet season sediment transport is balanced. It is implied that the groyne structure must be replaced for being surpass the structure lifetime.
