Abstract

ABSTRAK Kolesterol merupakan salah satu penyusun garam empedu. Peningkatan jumlah kolesterol yang berada dalam tubuh berpotensi menyebabkan penimbunan dan pengkristalan garam empedu menjadi batu empedu. Peningkatan kolesterol melebihi jumlah yang dapat dipecah oleh empedu terproduksi dapat mengganggu sistem pencernaan berupa terbentuknya batu empedu. Faktor penyebab peningkatan kolesterol dalam tubuh, yaitu konsumsi dan sintesis kolesterol dalam tubuh secara berlebihan. Produksi kolestrol dalam tubuh dipercepat oleh enzim 3-hidroksi-3-metilglutaril KoA (HMG-KoA) reduktase dari HMG-KoA menjadi asam mevalonat yang digunakan sebagai bahan baku kolesterol. Daun kelor memiliki senyawa aktif sitosterol untuk menghambat kerja enzim HMG-KoA reduktase sehingga menurunkan produksi kolesterol di hepar dan mencegah terbentuknya batu empedu. Kata Kunci: batu empedu, enzim HMG-KoA reduktase, kelor, kolesterol, sitosterol ABSTRACT Cholesterol is one part of bile salts. Increasing the amount of cholesterol in the body has potential to cause accumulation and crystallization of the bile salts into gallstone. The cause of cholesterol increasing in the body is consumption and synthesis of cholesterol excessively. The production of cholesterol in the body is accelerated by 3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl CoA enzyme (HMG-CoA). Reductase of HMG-CoA become mevalonic acid that will form cholesterol. Kelor leaf has active compound sitosterol that could inhibit HMG-CoA reductase, so it will decrease the production of cholesterol in hepar and prevent the formation of gallstones. Abstract

The objective ofthe current research was to study the effect of panhisterectomy on calcium and phosphorretention in Sprague Dawley rats fed with soybean for four weeks. Ten female Sprague Dawley rats, sixweeks of age were randomly divided into two groups (control and panhisterectomized group) of five each. Ateight weeks of age, the rats ofpanhisterectomized group were panhisterectomized. At 12 weeks of age, theywere placed into individual metabolic cages for balance study. Every morning, from day four to eight of thebalance study, the left-over feed was collected for calcium and phosphor analyses. Urine and fecal sampleswere also collected at the same time. Abstract

The objective of the research was to study the effect of panhisterectomy and 1,25-dihydroxyvitamin D3supplement consumption for 1.5 months on Ca retention of Wistar rats fed with casein. Twenty female ofWistar rats, 8 weeks of age were randomly divided into four groups (normal group N and NK,panhisterectomized group H and HK) in wich group consisted of 5 rats. Group N and H rats were fed witha standard diet, while group NK and HK rats were fed with a standard diet+1,25-dihydroxyvitamin D3supplement. At 19 weeks of age, they were placed into individual metabolic cages for balance studies.From day 7 to 11 of the balance studies, daily unconsumed food, urine, and feces were collected andrecorded for Ca analyses. The research results showed that Ca comsumption and fecal Ca excretion weresignificantly higher (P<0.05) in panhisterectomized rats consuming 1,25-dihydroxyvitamin D3 supplement,as compared with the normal rats consuming 1,25-dihydroxyvitamin D3 supplement. Urinary Ca excretionand Ca retention in panhisterectomized rats were not significantly different those of normal rats. WhileCa consumption and fecal Ca excretion were significantly reduced (P<0.05) in normal rats consuming 1,25-dihydroxyvitamin D3 supplement but urinary Ca excretion and Ca retention in normal rats consuming1,25-dihydroxyvitamin D3 supplement were not significantly different compare with normal rats notconsuming 1,25-dihydroxyvitamin D3 supplement. It is evident that panhisterectomy and 1,25-dihydroxyvitamin D3 supplement did not affect the calcium retention.

Abstract

Trans Metro Pekanbaru (TMP) is public transportation that has been operating since 2009 in Pekanbaru. It has function to reduce the problems related to public transport and traffic that appear because of the development of the city itself. During the time, the changing of passenger quantity, service quality and operation could happen anytime. Therefore, this research was done to find out the effectivity of Trans Metro Pekanbaru corridor II that serves the transportation from Terminal Bandar Raya Payung Sekaki (BRPS) to Kulim with the load factor as the indicator. The aim of this research is to determine the value of load factor and analyze the characteristic of Trans Metro Pekanbaru route that refer to the changing of load factor value, especially to the corridor of Terminal BRPS- Kulim. The results of this research were TMP busses of Corridor II which were not effective yet if we concern from the number of passenger, because the most of  the load factor on this corridor has not appropriate the standard load factor value yet, based on the SK Dirjen No. 687 at 2002 (70%), so it was not optimal in serving the movement of passengers. Based on the result of the analysis, the characteristics of Trans Metro Pekanbaru Corridor II has value load factor greater than 70% were in the holiday period from Terminal Bandar Raya Payung Sekaki to Kulim was the Kantor Pos shelter - Metro Plaza 1 shelter that is a transit shelter in the city center and shelter at the shopping center. From the results of statistical tests that have been performed, the selection mode equation Trans Metro Pekanbaru is :    Y = 5.75 - 0.061 X1 + 0.008 X2 + 0.000 X3 + 0.005 X4. Attributes considered is the waiting time (X1), speed (X2), rate (X3) and the convenience vehicles (X4).  Keyword : Trans Metro Pekanbaru, load factor, regression, stated preference
