Abstract

Vocational High School (SMK) students' lack of preparation for their future often contributes to the high unemployment rate among vocational graduates. This Community Service (PKM) activity aims to implement the POAC (Planning, Organizing, Implementing, and Controlling) management function as a framework for SMK Sasmita Jaya 2 students to manage their career and academic planning more systematically and purposefully. The methods used include outreach, participatory discussions, and mentoring in utilizing professional digital platforms to support job readiness and self-development. Abstract

This study aims to analyze in depth the implementation of the principal's multicultural leadership in managing expatriate teachers at Pah Tsung Trilingual Junior High School, Cengkareng. A qualitative approach with a case study method was employed. The primary data sources were obtained from the school principal and expatriate teachers as key informants who provided accurate information. Data collection was comprehensively conducted through interviews, observations, and document analysis. Data analysis was performed interactively and continuously using the Miles and Huberman model, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification until data saturation was reached. The research findings reveal four main points: First, the principal implements transformative leadership with high cognitive flexibility by adapting specific communication styles (high-context for Asian teachers and low-context for Western teachers). Second, the integration strategy is executed through an integrated workspace layout without nationality boundaries to trigger organic knowledge sharing and dismantle psychological barriers. Third, the mitigation of culture shock and pedagogical clash is proactively managed through a "bridging the gap" strategy by publishing a specific handbook and aligning different grading orientations (process vs. outcome). Fourth, the principal effectively acts as a cultural broker, emphasizing neutrality and dialectical mediation to create organizational justice, thereby fostering a feeling of being respected that enhances the loyalty and professional performance of expatriate teachers. This study concludes that adaptive, structural, and theoretical multicultural leadership is the key to successful foreign educator management in a trilingual school.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze inclusive leadership practices, the relationship between leaders and ustadz, santri, and guardians, as well as the participation opportunities opened by leaders in the policy-making process at Al Adzkar Islamic Boarding School, Pamulang, South Tangerang City. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study methodology. The population or target of the study includes the residents of Al Adzkar Islamic Boarding School, consisting of the boarding school leadership, principal, ustadz/teachers, students, and guardians. The sample or informants were selected using a purposive sampling technique based on their involvement and understanding of the leadership and policy-making process at the boarding school. Data collection techniques included semi-structured in-depth interviews, participant observation, open-ended questionnaires, and documentation studies. The researcher acted as the primary instrument, supported by interview guides, observation sheets, open-ended questionnaires, field notes, and documentation checklists. Data validity was checked through source and technique triangulation. Data were analyzed through data presentation, data reduction and coding, thematic category grouping, interpretation of findings, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that inclusive leadership practices were implemented through openness, leader availability, easy access to leaders, deliberation, collaboration, role models, and empowerment of Islamic boarding school residents. The relationship between leaders and ustadz/teachers was collaborative and based on communication, trust, and respect for competence. The relationship between leaders and students was one of guidance, role models, and communication, while the relationship with students' guardians demonstrated a partnership pattern in supporting students' education and development. Space for participation was opened through deliberation or syuro forums, coordination meetings, student organizations, direct communication, digital media, and informal discussions. Although space for participation was available, the involvement of students and their guardians in strategic decision-making was not fully equitable. The final decision rests with the Kyai to ensure policies align with the vision, mission, Islamic values, and traditions of the Islamic boarding school.
