Abstract

ABSTRACTBreastfeeding newborns in hospitals experiences many challenges. Meanwhile, maintaining breastfeeding can improve a baby's health status, reduce neonatal morbidity and mortality. Interventions in order to breastfeeding during the treatment period include breastfeeding support from family and peers. This literature review aim to examine the effect of family and peer support on breastfeeding mothers in the hospital. This article uses a literature review approach from 2009-2019. Literature review conducted on nine articles that met the inclusion criteria shows that breastfeeding support can be obtained from family and peers. Breastfeeding support from partners, grandmothers, and peers is recommended for mothers at risk of stopping breastfeeding babies. Breastfeeding support sourced from family and peers has a positive impact on improving breastfeeding knowledge, attitudes and practices. Increasing the proportion of breastfeeding, duration of breastfeeding, and family self-efficacy in helping breastfeeding mothers. Nurses can use breastfeeding support interventions that vary according to the mother's condition to promote breastfeeding for newborns in the hospital.

Abstract

Abstract

Developmental problems that occur in toddlers are caused by the lack of stimulation given to them. This condition occurs due to a lack of parental knowledge about stimulation that is appropriate for the age of toddlers. This study aims to determine the relationship between maternal knowledge about the stimulation of toddler development and child development at Posyandu Cempaka Letung Village in 2023. We conducted a cross-sectional study of 60 mothers and toddlers. They were recruited through a total sampling technique with the criteria of mothers who have toddler children, mothers who are willing to be respondents, and mothers who can read and write. Furthermore, the data will be analyzed using Somers'd test. The results of this study showed that there was a significant relationship between mothers' knowledge about stimulation and toddler development (P-value 0.004, gamma 0.842). This study confirms the relationship between mothers' knowledge about stimulation of toddler development and child development at Posyandu Cempaka, Letung Village in 2023. We suggest that it is important to improve mothers' knowledge of toddler development.

The impact of gadgets in the era of globalization has positive and negative impacts The positive impact of using devices is that it can make it easier to find information, including information, and can be used over long distances. Devices can also have negative impacts, such as reduced socialization of children and disrupting the process of child development. Prolonged use of devices limits learning opportunities, thus negatively affecting students' grades and learning outcomes. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between the use of social interaction devices and students' academic achievement at SD Negeri 013 Sagulung, Batam City in 2023. This study included observational analysis with a cross-sectional design, with a total of 64 students. respondents. The sampling technique was stratified random sampling. The research instrument was developed by the researcher based on the theory of variables and statistical tests using the Chi-square test. The results of the chi-square test obtained from 36 students of SD Negeri 013 Sagulung with unrestricted gadget use poor social interaction as many as 23 students (63.9%) with a p-value = 0.047 <0.05, meaning that there is a significant relationship between gadget use and student social interaction. In addition, the results were also obtained from 36 students of SD Negeri 013 Sagulung with unrestricted gadget use with low learning achievement results as many as 24 students (66.6%), with a p-value = 0.027 <0.05, meaning that there is a significant relationship between gadget use and student learning achievement. Schools if they want to improve student learning achievement need to regulate the use of gadgets at school and for parents need to make rules and control children while at home.

Abstract

Premature infants with Respiratory Distress Syndrome (RDS) often experience physiological instability due to immature organ systems and stressful NICU environments. Developmental care interventions are urgently needed to support stabilization and optimize neonatal outcomes. This study aimed to evaluate the application of Biological Mother Sounds combined with Therapeutic Touch in premature infants with RDS. A descriptive case study method was used, involving one premature infant receiving these interventions as part of nursing care. Data were collected through observation of cardiorespiratory parameters and oxygen saturation. The results showed improvement in oxygen saturation, respiratory stability, and reduced signs of distress after intervention. In conclusion, the combination of Biological Mother Sounds and Therapeutic Touch may serve as a supportive, non-invasive nursing intervention to enhance physiological stability in premature infants with RDS..Keywords: Preterm infant; RDS; Biological Maternal Sounds; Maternal touch therapy; Cardiorespiratory stability
