Abstract

Tradisi berkembang melalui berbagai macam tata pelaksanaan kehidupan salah satunya pada pelaksanaan acara pernikahan. Tulisan ini mengeksplorasi tradisi kuli aek dalam pernikahan Melayu Sambas yang cenderung kurang mendapat perhatian. Oleh karena itu, tulisan ini mendeskripsikan kuli aek sebagai tradisi tolong menolong dalam acara pernikahan yang memiliki kesamaan dengan tradisi di berbagai kelompok etnis lainnya. Tujuan tulisan ini untuk mengeksplorasi dan mendeskripsikan 1) Peran kuli aek dalam pernikahan Melayu Sambas 2) Karakteristik kuli aek sebagai kegiatan bekerja sama, dan 3) Tantangan kuli aek dalam modernisasi. Tulisan ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan etnografi. Teknik penelitian yang digunakan adalah observasi partisipan, wawancara mendalam dan studi pustaka. Kesimpulan dalam tulisan ini sebagai berikut: 1) Peran kuli aek dalam pernikahan Melayu Sambas tidak hanya bertugas menyediakan ketersediaan air bersih tetapi juga membantu dalam setiap prosesi persiapan dan pelaksanaan pernikahan, 2) Berdasarkan kategorisasi dalam aktivitas kerja sama kuli aek dikategorikan sebagai aktivitas tolong menolong dan 3) Tantangan modernisasi pada tradisi kuli aek yaitu otomatisasi peran kuli aek dan disorganiasi pada masyarakat. Temuan ini menunjukkan pentingnya pemahaman mengenai tradisi kuli aek sebagai tradisi tolong menolong pada masyarakat Melayu Sambas serta perlu adanya dukungan dalam menjaga tradisi tolong menolong beserta nilai-nilai luhur yang terkandung.

Abstract

The diversity of religious communities creates challenges in maintaining harmony between religious communities. Various acts of intolerance to radicalism are problems that can disrupt harmony and damage the consensus of the Indonesian nation. Islamic boarding schools as Islamic religious educational institutions have a role in teaching and disseminating understanding that can strengthen and maintain harmony between religious communities in Indonesia, one of which is religious moderation which can be implemented in various ways and approaches for students. The purpose of this study is to identify various types of religious moderation instillation for students. This study uses a systematic literature review using the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis (PRISMA) guidelines. A systematic search was conducted on the Scopus database using the Publish Or Perish application based on publications from 2019 to 2024 using predetermined keywords. The determination of selection criteria resulted in 8 scientific articles to be analyzed in this study. The results of the study show that the instillation of religious moderation can be carried out by Islamic boarding schools in various ways, such as by combining modern education with traditional Islamic boarding school traditions, implementing multicultural education based on local culture, through understanding Sufi orders, utilizing digital learning, implementing hidden curriculum, organizing interfaith and cultural dialogues and halaqah, using the taghyir approach and strengthening intellectual traditions in the Islamic boarding school environment.Keyword - Religious Moderation, Pesantren, Santri, Systematic Literature Review.

Abstract

Various kinds of religious contents were widely circulated in social media with various kinds of covers to attract users, especially the millennial generation as active users of social media. Especially for non-santri teenagers who had a high curiosity in religious insight. The method used was a qualitative research with descriptive research. Data collection techniques used were non-participant observation, in-depth interviews and documentation. The informants in this study were Muslim teenagers who were still studying. The findings indicated that their favorite social media were Instagram, What’s up, and YouTube. The impact of utilizing social media was to add religious insight to Muslim adolescents who were obtained the materials before and the obstacles faced by adolescents when deciding to ‘hijrah ‘; that was,  there were acts of bullying and were considered to only follow trends. The conclusion was the use of social media among non-santri teenagers is one way to answer curiosity about religious insight. Therefore, they realized new understanding in the form of ‘hijrah’. This condition was increasingly supported by the widespread of contents in social media and the presence of routine religious teachings in various mosques considered to represent the meaning of ‘hijrah’.
