Abstract

Philosophy plays an important role in shaping meaningful educational systems. Many schools develop curricula without considering philosophy, resulting in meaningless learning for students. This research aims to explain the application of the philosophy of Tut Wuri Handayani in the curriculum of MTs Al-Mardliyyah Pamekasan using a qualitative case study approach. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, then processed through reduction, presentation, and drawing conclusions. The implementation of the Tut Wuri Handayani philosophy includes honesty, fairness, good moral character, and motivation for students to learn well. Challenges such as laziness, shyness, and pessimism are addressed with strategies of awareness, understanding, and changing students' mindset. The impact is that students develop into better individuals morally, caring for their peers and the environment, and forming productive and adaptive learning processes. In conclusion, the implementation of the philosophy has been successful with positive effects on schools, teachers, and students. This research contributes as a reference for schools to apply philosophical aspects in education and learning.

Abstract

Hadith as a search data is a complicated job and need for a sufficient knowledge. As a data, the Hadith is an object of study already had an established methodology building, except the validity of the Matan. Not many references are trying to organize in a concrete methodology, except for some general criteria. As the data semantically, Matan has two side studies; lafdzì and ma'nawì. This two associated with two criterion validity of the data Hadith; Syadz and 'illat. Syàdz research can only be done, if there are two or more conflicting data of hadith. And in illat conditions, the formulation of criteria for the data appear as “false hadith”, all of which are related to the condition of Matan.Keywords: Hadith Study, criterion validity, Matan of Hadith

Abstract

The learning process which is a communication process with a reciprocal direction, actually gets quite high attention in Islamic education, that communication must be adjusted between teachers, sources, media and students. This research tries to examine several groups of verses in the Al-Qur'an and Prophetic Hadith, related to how learning resources and learning media are used in the learning process. To complete this research, we uses several units of analysis in the form of two groups of verses in the Qur'an; namely verses 75-78 of surah Al-An'am, verses 51-66 of surah Al-Anbiya and the Hadith regarding the making of the podium narrated by Al-Bukhari. The content analysis uses some classical literature on Al-Qur'an commentary and Hadith explanations which are corroborated with several contemporary references. The results of the discussion show that the two groups of verses and hadiths provide clues related to the function of learning resources, the values of learning experiences and skills for students that can be easily accessed and are individual in nature. In addition, there are cues related to the function as learning media; the liaison between the teacher and students, the effectiveness of connecting material from learning resources delivered by the teacher to students, and the dissemination of material to each student.
