Abstract

The research that has been conducted is aimed to develop disaster risk instruments for children under five. So that can do disaster mitigation, reduce the risk of disaster in children under five, through awareness based on community empowerment.Variables that have been shown to affect disaster risk: the level of threat, vulnerability, and community capacity. These three factors need to be developed specifically in order to be used to assess the level of disaster risks for toddlers. Development of the instrument has been done through 4 stages: 1) conducted preliminary study 2) developed the instrument, 3) conducted data analysis and 4) given the recommendation of the research results. Of the 32 items of disaster risk instrument items, 2 invalid items have been discarded. Of 30 valid instrument items, all significant values have been indicated> 0.700, all instrument items accepted. Abstract

Indonesia is a country that has many natural disasters, because the archipelago, many volcanoes and the sea. The number of deaths that occur can be caused by a lack of knowledge, community skills when facing disasters. When a disaster strikes, people become very panicked and chaos can trigger many victims. Therefore it is necessary to have the right strategy in the form of disaster mitigation. This study aims to develop instruments to assess campus capacity in the face of disasters. The instrument in this study was the development of a SMAB (Madrasah Schools Safe from Disasters) instrument developed by National Disaster Management Agency. The steps in developing this instrument were: 1) initial study; 2) determine sub indicators; 3) compiling the instrument item grid; 4) compile instrument items; 5) testing instruments, 6) carrying out analysis; 7) revision of the instrument; 8) formulate the final instrument from the results of the study. There were 4 strong campus capacities, namely building structure; knowledge, attitude, and action; campus policy; and preparedness. After testing the validity, there were 28 invalid items from 48 items. All reliability test items that were valid items were reliable. This means that it can be used to measure strong campus capacity Keywords: capacity instruments; disaster mitigation; disaster resilient campus

Abstract

Breastmilk is the most important food for babies, especially in the first months of their lives. There is usually the problem of milk ejection on the first day after giving birth. The development of the SPEOS Method and the Marmet Technique may be used to aid postpartum women on the breastmilk ejection, considering that the provision of exclusive breastmilk is highly dependent on the first days after birth. This study used the quasi-experiment design with the posttest only design with a control group. The population was postpartum women in the area of Lembeyan Community Health Center with the Consecutive sampling technique. The sample 40 mother (10 mother in in SPEOS group, 10 mothers in Marmet group, 10 mothers in Combination SPEOS and Marmet group, and 10 mother in control group). The independent variable was the combination of the SPEOS Method and the Marmet Technique. The dependent variable was the breastmilk ejection on postpartum women and the increase of the babies’ weight. Breat milk data were collected by questionare and the babies’s weight collected in 7th day. The results of the research showed that the combination of the SPEOS Method and the Marmet Technique is effective in increasing the breastmilk ejection and in increasing the babies' weight, with the significant value of the Manova test (p-value = 0.000). The combination of the SPEOS Method and the Marmet Technique is highly effective in increasing milk production and baby weight. Keywords: SPEOS method; marmet technique; breastmilk expresion; baby weight

Abstract

Early stimulation, detection and intervention for growth and development of children is a shared responsibility of health and community officials, including cadres of posyandu (integrated service post). The research that has been done is aimed at developing Posyandu cadre, with Role Play approach based on Maternal and child book (MCH book). This study was the classroom action research. The population were posyandu cadres in Bendo Sub-district. The sample size was 33, taken by simple random sampling. Instruments used were questionnaire and observation sheet. Descriptive and multivariate analyzes were used. The 38% of posyandu cadres were of late adulthood, the majority of senior high school (52%). Knowledge before role play: majority enough (88%), after role play, good (73%). Able to measure weight: good (70%). Measuring height: good (51.5%). Ability to measure head circumference well (84.8%). Able to detect developments well 82%. Able to perform vision tests with 94% good. Able to perform hearing test well (100%). Statistical analysis was no relationship between age and education with pretest knowledge. Conclusion: it was necessary to do coaching to Posyandu cadre continuously, with the use of variation of method to make lesson easier to understand. Abstract

Iron deficiency anemia that often occurs in pregnancies may be due to the pregnant women’s inconsistency in consuming Fe tablets. The husbands’ role is required to increase their consumption. This research aims to analyze the effectiveness of online couple classes in increasing the husbands’ support and in increasing the Hb Rate of pregnant women with anemia. This is quasi-experiment research, with a pretest-posttest one-group design. This research is located at the Kartoharjo Community Health Center Area, Magetan Regency, East Java, Indonesia, in 2020. The sample of this research is 18 pregnant women with anemia (Hb
