Abstract

The purpose of this study is to identify the effect of entrepeneurship interest on work readiness, the effect knowlegde of work and industry on the work readiness, and the effect of entrepeneurship interest and knowlegde of work and industry on work readiness of student class XII machining engineering in SMK Negeri 2 Pengasih. This research is an ex-post facto with quantitative descriptive research type. The population as a whole by 92 students of class XII machining engineering program. The samples used were 48 students. The sampling technique using the technique Probability Sampling. Data analysis technique used is simple regression analysis and multiple regression analysis. The results of this study are: The entrepeneurship interest had a positive and significant effect on work readiness with the value 23,9%; the knowlegde of work and Industry had a positive and significant effect on work readiness with a value 90,7%; Entrepeneurship interest and knowlegde of work and industry together have a positive and significant effect on work readiness with a value 91,5%.

Abstract

At PT XYZ, the Bias cutting process plays a crucial role in tire production, particularly in the handling ofTreatment rolls involving the Air Brake Roll Treatment system. Currently, pressure adjustment on the Bias cutting machine at the Let Off section is performed manually by operators, often leading to inaccuracies in pressure reduction. These inaccuracies result in uneven compression of the Treatment rolls, leading to increased scrap rates and reduced production efficiency. This study aims to modify the pressure system by replacing the manual method with an automated system using the IFM O1D100 Distance Sensor. This modification involves automatically adjusting pressure based on the distance of the Treatment roll, thereby reducing the risk of unwanted compression and enhancing the consistency of the Bias cutting process. The study results show that using an electro-pneumatic system controlled by the Distance Sensor allows for more precise pressure adjustment, contributing to reduced scrap rates and improved production efficiency.

Abstract

This study analyzes the influence of the four pillars of partnership on the success of WBL as well as the differences in perceptions between teachers, students, and industry in Tegal Regency. The method used in this study is quantitative with data analysis using multiple linear regression and one-way ANOVA. The results of the study show that the four pillars are simultaneously influential. Partially, Confidence (p = 0.002; Beta = 0.415) and Profit (p = 0.014; Beta = 0.310) is significant, while Need (p = 0.065) and Strength (p = 0.254) are not. ANOVA revealed significant differences in perceptions between groups (p = 0.008), with teachers being more optimistic than industry (mean difference = 4.200; p = 0.012). The results of the analysis show that the success of WBL is not enough to rely solely on MoUs or facilities, but is highly dependent on industry trust and mutual benefits. Schools need to build the character and safety of students' work and create a clear benefit-sharing scheme.
