Abstract

Communication motives that are not conveyed properly then individuals experience communication anxiety. Communication anxiety can occur when speaking in public or in new situations, and is different from before. Thus causing a person to experience anxiety. So self-talk training is needed for students who experience communication anxiety. The research model used in the development of the Self Talk training package to reduce communication anxiety for new students of the Faculty of Education, PGRI Kanjuruhan University Malang, uses the ADDIE research and development model. Research and development that has been carried out by researchers produces products in the form of this training package has a function as a medium in order to facilitate counselors to help students reduce anxiety in communicating with self-speech or self-talk. The results of the validity test of Guidance and Counseling experts, and learning media experts, on the training package developed by researchers have met the criteria for acceptance. This can be seen from the results of the assessment of experts with interrater agrrement model analysis. According to the expert assessment of Guidance and Counseling on the usability aspect, showing a value of 1 that is more than 0.8 then has high validity, or in other words very good. In the feasibility aspect, it shows a value of 0.75 which means between 0.4 – 0.8 then it has moderate validity, or in other words enough. In the aspect of accuracy, it shows a value of 0.6 which means between 0.4 – 0.8 then it has moderate validity, or in other words enough. While the assessment of learning media experts on the aspect of propriety / attractiveness shows a value of 1 which means more than 0.8 then it has high validity, or in other words very good. The test results of prospective users on the training package developed by researchers have met the criteria for acceptability. This can be seen from the assessment results of prospective users with interrater agrrement model analysis. According to the assessment of prospective users / counselors on the usability aspect, showing a value of 1 which means more than 0.8, then it has high validity, or in other words very good. In the feasibility aspect, showing a value of 1 which means above 0.8, it has high validity, or in other words very good. In the aspect of accuracy, showing a value of 1 which means more than 0.8, it has high validity, or in other words very good. Suggestions for future researchers, this research is still in the development stage, has not been implemented, therefore the suggestion for the next researcher is to test the effectiveness of the guide with a pure experimental design, to use it for students to help reduce communication anxiety, in order to find out whether or not this training package is effective if applied to students

Abstract

Lack of adaptation is a common problem experienced by students, especially when they enter a new school environment. Students may face various challenges during this adjustment period, making it important for schools to provide professional services that help enhance students’ adaptability skills in their new surroundings. The aim of this study was to examine whether group guidance with the problem-solving technique could enhance students’ adaptability skills.This research employed a quantitative approach with an experimental method using a one-group pre-test and post-test design. The research subjects consisted of 10 students selected through a stratified random sampling technique. The instrument used was an adopted adaptability skill scale. Based on the analysis results, it can be concluded that there was an improvement in students’ adaptability skills, with an average score increase of 8.2 points. The findings indicate that group guidance with the problem-solving technique effectively enhances students’ adaptability skills

Abstract

This study produced a psychodrama training guidebook through group guidance to overcome interpersonal communication anxiety in students of SMAN Kota Malang. The method used in the study is development which has ten stages that have been modified into seven stages, including information gathering, planning, initial product development, initial product trials, product revision, main field trials, and main product revisions based on the assessment of six experts (stage 4), including material assessment, obtained an average score of 3.6. Media assessment obtained an average score of 3.6, it can be concluded that this guidebook is appropriate for use. Language assessment obtained an average score of 3.9, it can be concluded that in terms of language use, this guidebook is quite appropriate for use. While the assessment of product user tests (stage 6) by five Counselors at five different schools, obtained an average score of 3.7, it can be concluded that this guidebook has been tested directly by Counselor teachers at school so this guidebook is quite appropriate for use by counselors as a guideline in overcoming interpersonal communication anxiety in high school students. This guide has been revised according to the advice given by the expert so that the psychodrama training guide through group guidance to overcome interpersonal communication anxiety in students is categorized as very useful, very appropriate, very easy, very interesting, and very feasible to use. Suggestions for further researchers are expected to be able to develop the resulting development media by using trials on students to determine the level of effectiveness.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk 1) mendeskripsikan tingkat perilaku fear of missing out (FOMO), life satisfaction, dan self control siswa generasi Z di Kabupaten Malang, 2) menganalisis hubungan dan pengaruh life satisfaction terhadap FOMO, 3) menganalisis hubungan dan pengaruh self control terhadap FOMO. Penelitian menggunakan desain explanatory survey dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi meliputi 219.623 siswa generasi Z di Kabupaten Malang, dan sampel diambil dengan teknik proportionate stratified random sampling dan dihitung dengan rumus slovin, sehingga diperoleh 399 responden. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah inventori berupa skala likert yaitu fear of missing out scale (FOMOS), satisfaction with life scale (SWLS), dan brief self control scale (BSCS). Analisis data meliputi analisis deskriptif dan uji hipotesis menggunakan uji korelasi spearman dan uji regresi non linear. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat FOMO siswa berada dalam kategori tinggi, sedangkan life satisfaction dan self control dalam kategori rendah. Life satisfaction berhubungan negatif kuat secara signifikan dan memberikan pengaruh sebesar 43,2% terhadap FOMO, sedangkan 56,8% sisanya dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain. Demikian pula, self control berhubungan negatif sangat kuat secara signifikan dan memberikan pengaruh sebesar 75,9% terhadap FOMO, sedangkan 24,1% sisanya dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain. Berdasarkan temuan ini, disimpulkan bahwa semakin rendah life satisfaction dan self control siswa, maka semakin tinggi kecenderungan mengalami FOMO, begitupun sebaliknya.

Abstract

Adolescents are the age group with the highest number of social media users, and their use can have both positive and negative impacts on individuals and society (Windari et al., 2021). Gadgets equipped with various applications, such as online games, often attract the attention of children and adolescents, leading them to spend a lot of time playing (Hidayah et al., 2019). The purpose of this study was to determine whether group guidance using discussion techniques could improve students' understanding of gadget use at SMP Negeri 1 Wagir in the 2025/2026 academic year. This study used a quantitative approach with experimental methods. The design used in this study was a pre-experimental, one-group pretest-posttest group design. Based on the results of the scale measurement of understanding of gadget use, 10 students were randomly selected into low, medium, and high categories. The instrument used in this study was a scale instrument for understanding gadget use. The data analysis in this study used the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test, with the Wilcoxon test statistic showing that Zₕᵢₜᵤₙg was -2.803b (2-tailed) at 0.005. Therefore, the Sig. value (2-tailed) of 0.005 <0.05 can be concluded that providing group guidance services using discussion techniques is effective in improving students' understanding of gadget use at SMP Negeri 1 Wagir. Students are expected to have a better understanding of gadget use and its impact if not improved furthermore, future researchers are expected to develop research using discussion techniques to increase the effectiveness of each step of the discussion technique in group guidance activities.

Abstract

The present study aimed at enhancing students' learning motivation using bibliocounseling technique. This was a pre-experimental study with one group pretest-posttest design. The subjects of the study were 11th grade students of a Senior High School. They were selected through purposive random sampling. The instrument of the study consisted of learning motivation scale and observation guide. The data of the study were analyzed by descriptive analysis and Wilcoxon test. The result of the study showed that there was a difference between the score of pre-test and post-test, there was a 37% increase from the category of intermediate into high. While, the result of statistical analysis on the Wilcoxon test exhibited the significance value of 0.011 < 0.05, in other words, there is differences between pre- and post- treatment, therefore, the proposed hypothesis was accepted. The result of the study showed that the subjects experienced learning motivation improvement because he/she implemented bibliocounseling. Therefore, it could be concluded that bibliocounseling technique is effective to improve students’ learning motivation.
