Abstract

Past studies especially done by Walter Ong have shown that the changes in technology and culture could trigger the emergence of new patterns of communication and relationship that influence human self-understanding, the meaning of life, and the image of God that they believe. This article explores whether the rapid development of digital technology and culture in Indonesia can change the modern Christians’ image of God. By using literature research, it is found that the Indonesian Christians who are already immersed in the digital culture that emphasizes experiential reality, non-stop flexible relationships, and subjective nonphysical presence might prefer the Holy Spirit as God-image in their mind. They even wish for an experiential relationship with the Holy Spirit who relates to human beings in a nonphysical and flexible manner. This study gives hints for Indonesian churches to recognize some challenges in the theological and practical spheres that they have to face.  AbstrakStudi masa lalu misalnya dari Walter Ong telah menunjukkan bahwa, perubahan teknologi dan budaya memicu hadirnya pola komunikasi dan relasi yang berbeda sehingga mengubah pemahaman manusia mengenai dirinya, makna hidup, bahkan gambaran mereka mengenai Allah yang dipercayanya. Artikel ini meneliti apakah perubahan yang disebabkan oleh hadirnya teknologi dan budaya digital yang sangat cepat di Indonesia akan mengubah pandangan orang Kristen mengenai Allah. Dengan metode penelitian kepustakaan didapatkan temuan bahwa, orang-orang Kristen yang sudah terbiasa hidup dalam budaya digital yang menekankan realitas subjektif yang eksperinsial, relasi terus menerus, kehadiran non ragawi akan lebih mudah menghayati hubungan dengan Roh Kudus yang berelasi dengan manusia secara cair. Studi ini memberikan isyarat bagi gereja di Indonesia tenta tantangan-tantang yang perlu di jawab baik di ranah teologis maupun praktis.

Abstract

The time of Christ's coming to earth has given rise to various interpretations. The difference in interpretation has also caused tension in arguments among theological learners. This research was conducted using the exegesis method. This method is suitable for finding the truth related to the fullness of Christ's coming. This article aims to discover the truth about the fulfillment of Christ's coming. As a result of this research, it is hoped that it can provide answers to various Christological questions that can give biblical answers to various questions. In the end, it can be concluded that the coming of Christ has been determined according to the appointed time.   Waktu kedatangan Kristus di bumi telah menimbulkan berbagai intepretasi. Perbedaan intepretasi itu juga telah menimbulkan ketegangan argumentasi di antara para pembelajar teologi. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode eksegesis. Metode ini cocok untuk menemukan kebenaran terkait dengan waktu kegenapan kedatangan Kristus tersebut. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menemukan kebenaran terkait dengan penggenapan waktu kedatangan Kristus. Sebagai hasil dari penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberi jawaban terhadap berbagai kebimbangan kristologis yang dapat memeberi jawaban alkitabiah atas berbagai perbedaan pertanyaan tersebut. Pada akhirnya dapat disimpulkan bahwa kedatangan Kristus telah ditetapkan sesuai dengan waktu yang telah ditentukan.

Abstract

Many Christian marriages experience breakdowns amid their journey. The marriage vows spoken during the wedding ceremony no longer serve as guiding principles. These vows seem meaningful only when uttered; afterward, they are disregarded. This study will employ the biblical exegetical method to uncover the biblical truth regarding the meaning of marriage vows. This method is suitable because it can reveal the truth behind the biblical text. The truth discovered is hoped to provide insights into the significance of marriage vows spoken during the wedding ceremony. Thus, it can be understood that marriage vows are not merely lip service but must be a dedication and commitment of the couple. This is what will ensure that the marriage can endure a lifetime. AbstrakBanyak pernikahan Kristen mengalami kehancuran di tengah perjanalanannya. Janji pernikahan yang diucapkan saat upacara pernikahan dilaksanakan tidak lagi menjadi pegangan. Janji pernikahan itu sepertinya bermakna pada saat diucapkan saja, dan setelah itu akan diabaikan. Untuk menemukan kebenaran biblika terkait dengan makna dari suatu janji pernikahan, maka penelitian ini akan menggunakan metode eksegesis. Metode ini dinilai cocok karena dapat menemukan kebenaran yang berada di balik teks Alkitab tersebut. Melalui kebenaran yang ditemukan, diharapkan dapat memberi petunjuk akan bermaknanya janji pernikahan yang diucapkan saat upacara pernikahan dilangsungkan. Dengan demikian dapat dipahami bahwa janji pernikahan itu bukan semata ucapan bibir belaka, tetapi itu harus menjadi dedikasi dan komitmen pasangan. Hal itulah yang akan menjamin pernikahan dapat bertahan seumur hidup.

Abstract

Bethlehem is currently the subject of significant discussion and has frequently sparked debate. As a result, tensions have arisen among Christians, which often affects social relationships within the community of believers. This article aims to provide a biblical overview of the truth about Bethlehem to help reduce these tensions. To uncover this truth, we will employ exegesis, which involves thoroughly analysing the biblical text to reconcile differing interpretations and uncover the intended meaning. Through this analysis, we can deduce the significance of Bethlehem for us today and help the church to understand its importance in the context of Christ's redemptive work.

Abstract

There are differences in the concept of Gospel preaching. On one hand, some believe that when someone believes, they can be baptized immediately, while others hold the opinion that one cannot be baptized immediately upon belief. They need to be guided in teaching. This research employs the method of exegesis, which is suitable for uncovering the truths intended by the text. Through this research, it is hoped that a guide can be found which could serve as an alternative in Gospel preaching. Ultimately, it can be understood that the Gospel is the path of salvation that must be proclaimed to all creatures throughout the world.   Adanya perbedaan tentang konsep pemberitaan Injil. Di satu sisi ada yang memiliki keyakinan bahwa ketika seseorang percaya, mareka langsung bisa dibaptis, dan sebagian memiliki pendapat bahwa ketika seseorang menjadi percaya tidak bisa langsung dibaptis. Mereka harus dibimbing dalam pengajaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksegesis. Metode ini cocok untuk menggali kebenaran yang dimaksud oleh teks. Melalui penelitian ini diharapkan dapat ditemukan suatu panduan yang dapat menjadi suatu alternatif dalam pemberitaan Injil. Pada akhirnya dapat dipahami bahwa Injil adalah jalan keselamatan yang harus diberitkan kepada segala mahkluk di seluruh dunia.

Abstract

Various perspectives on the doctrine of Christology are not only widespread, but also deeply ingrained in the fabric of theological discourse. These perspectives have influenced the faith of believers. This research explores the truth of Christology based on what the Bible says. The method used is explanation, which will reveal the original meaning of the verses and seek to understand their relevance to contemporary issues. Consequently, it can be understood that Christ is God who became man to carry out His redemptive work.

Abstract

The concept of incarnation has given rise to much theological discussion. Each of them has a different argumentative background. This is motivated by different methods and approaches. This article attempts to convey the concept of incarnation with a biblical approach. The method used is exegesis. This is an attempt to find the truth according to what God's Word meant. It is hoped that through this article the truth about the biblical concept of incarnation can be found, and can be a reference in various discussions related to the theme.
