Abstract

Purpose – This study describes implementing the experiential learning-based spiritual learning model for high school students. Design/methods/approach – This research adopts a qualitative methodology with a narrative approach, focusing on thirteen Islamic religion teachers from both public and private high schools in Indonesia and Malaysia. Findings – This study divides the findings into three, namely teacher understanding, forms of application and constraints in experiential learning. Teachers' understanding of experiential learning based on this research is not evenly distributed. meaning that the teacher in theory does not know much but some have practiced it. the application of learning is carried out using online media. while the constraints faced came from internal and external factors. Research implications/limitations – This research recommends the use of experiential learning to enhance religious education. Teachers need to develop innovative learning strategies, while students should actively participate in the learning process and apply their experiences. The study also suggests that schools should incorporate experiential learning methods in their curriculum to enhance the effectiveness of religious education. These recommendations provide practical insights into developing religious education based on experiential learning. Originality/value – The study found similarities in the application of experiential learning in religious education between Indonesia and Malaysia, including the use of video media to increase students' interest in the material. However, both countries face similar obstacles, such as the need to increase teacher competence in innovative learning strategies, the presence of noise in new learning, and the need for standard syllabi.

Abstract

As an Islamic movement and da'wah of Amar Ma'ruf Nahi Mungkar, which are sourced from the Quran and sunnah, Muhammadiyah needs to move in the regeneration process for the creation of progress or civilization. The purpose of this study is to know the concept of Muhammadiyah cadre development at the Muhammadiyah Boarding School Pleret Bantul Yogyakarta. This research is field research using a qualitative descriptive approach. This approach is intended to collect in-depth information about the development of Muhammadiyah cadres in the Muhammadiyah Boarding School Pleret Bantul Yogyakarta and get appropriate results from field research. Data collection is carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. In addition, researchers collect data by triangulation, which is collecting data while testing the credibility of the data by comparing various data collection techniques and various data sources. After all the data is collected, data analysis is carried out by reducing the data, presenting the data, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that the development of Muhammadiyah cadres was carried out through learning activities, organizations, and islamic boarding schools. The implementation of the development of Muhammadiyah cadres is divided into three stages, namely preparation, implementation, and evaluation

Abstract

Education does not only prioritize aspects of knowledge and skills, but also pays great attention to personality of the students. But the fact is, some cases of delinquency which are a form of disability, are actually carried out by school-age children. The development that occurs in children with disabilities, is not much different from normal children without disability, but the emotional disturbances they have can affect the child's personality and social. One of schools that handles children with disabilities is SLB-E Prayuwana Yogyakarta. This research can be classified as a descriptive qualitative field research that aims to find out the strategy in internalizing religious social values ​​for children with disabilities at SLB E Prayuwana Yogyakarta, uses observation, interview and documentation techniques. This research was carried out through data reduction, data presentation, verification and data validity testing. Based on research data it is known that internalization of religious social values ​​for children with disabilities in SLB E Prayuwana Yogyakarta is carried out integrated into every activity and subject, religious social culture and habituation program in schools, which prioritizes the compassion approach, as well as collaboration with the education department, parents and communities.
