Abstract

Clay material from Rendeng, Malo, Bojonegoro was studied by mineralogy and physicochemical characterization to evaluate its potential suitability as a raw material in pottery application. X-ray Diffraction (XRD) and Fourier Transform-Infrared (FTIR) spectrometry were used to establish the mineralogy composition. Meanwhile the physical properties were identified by particle size distribution and consistency limits. Chemical composition was carried out by X-ray Fluorescence Spectrometer (XRF).  The results of XRD characterization revealed that clay from Rendeng Village, Malo, Bojonegoro contained  kaolin, quartz, and feldspar. Physical characterization shows that clay material is a less plastic type based on Atterberg method. Based on the chemical compositions indicated that SiO2, Al2O3, CaO, and Fe2O3 were abundance oxides. Therefore, clay from Desa Rendeng was only suitable for the pottery purposes because most of its mineral compositions did not meet the quality requirements for making advanced ceramics.

Abstract

Planning for high-rise buildings is an important aspect in the development of an area. As the rapid population growth continues, the need for housing and public facilities is increasing. Planning a high-rise building for a school is urgently needed today considering the increasing number of students and the need for school facilities in an area. Padangan Village is a village in the western part of Bojonegoro Regency and is the location of SMPN 1 Padangan which at this time is in dire need of a school building and facilities to meet and support the needs of students in the school. The results of the analysis with sap 2000 are planned Sloof (S1) is planned using the dimension of 25x50 with reinforcement 5D16 and the Main Beam (B1) is planned using the dimension of 30 x 55 with reinforcement 5D16, the column is planned using the dimension of 45x45 with reinforcement 12 D16 mm with a transverse reinforcement distance of 2 Ø10-100 mm. Floor plates are planned using two-way concrete plates with a thickness of 12 cm. For x-direction focal reinforcement use Ø10-85 mm, x-direction field reinforcement uses Ø10-130 mm, y-direction focal reinforcement uses Ø10-85 mm and y-direction field reinforcement uses Ø10-130 mm.

Abstract

ABSTRAK: Konstruksi perkerasan jalan yang berkualitas sangat dipengaruhi oleh komposisi campuran antara agregat dan aspal yang tepat. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menentukan kadar aspal optimum menggunakan metode marshall, yang bertujuan menghasilkan campuran beraspal dengan stabilitas tinggi, flow sesuai spesifikasi, dan daya tahan yang baik terhadap beban lalu lintas berat. Metode yang digunakan meliputi pemeriksaan karakteristik agregat dan aspal, uji CBR dan DCPT untuk menentukan daya dukung tanah dasar, serta pengujian campuran dengan marshall test. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa agregat memiliki gradasi baik dan memenuhi persyaratan teknis, sementara aspal jenis 60/70 menunjukkan penetrasi rata-rata 62,7, daktilitas 144,5 cm, dan titik lembek 57,5 derajad C. Kadar aspal optimum diperoleh pada titik keseimbangan antara nilai stabilitas maksimum, flow, dan kadar rongga yang sesuai spesifikasi. Kesimpulannya, metode marshall efektif digunakan dalam menentukan komposisi campuran beraspal yang optimal untuk perkerasan jalan yang kuat dan tahan lama. KATA KUNCI : Aspal, Jalan, Agregat, Campuran, Marshall.

Abstract

The building in general has two parts, namely the upper structure and the lower structure. The upper structure consists of the floor, walls, and roof of the building, while the lower structure consists of the foundation and sloof. The construction of this building aims as an effort to develop and add teaching and learning spaces and office space for the Faculty of Economics at Bojonegoro University. In this planning using the guidelines of SNI 1727-2020 (BeSNI 1727-2020 (Minimum design loads and related criteria for buildings and other structures), SNI 1726-2019 (Earthquake Resistant building procedures), SNI-2847-2019 (Structural concrete requirements for buildings) and SNI 1729-2020 (Specifications for structural steel buildings). Based on the results of the planning of the University of Bojonegoro Economic Building using Sloof 35 x 55 cm with pilecap foundation 150 x 150 cm and bored pile depth of 500 cm.
