Abstract

Sustainable Food Home Area is the concept of optimizing the use of yard locations around the house with a variety of plants, livestock, and fish in an area. The research objective is to determine internal and external factors and determine the strategy for developing a Sustainable Food Home Area program in Tulang Bawang Barat District. The research method used is a quantitative method. Data on internal and external environmental factors in this program were collected through observation, interviews with respondents with the help of questionnaires, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies. Data was collected in December 2019. The strategy program for the development of Sustainable Food Home Area in Tulang Bawang Barat Regency was analyzed using SWOT analysis. The recommended model for developing the program is based on the results of the assessment and analysis of natural and environmental resource potential and the potential of the program which is integrated with an analysis of the socio-economic, protection, and partnership aspects of its development. The results of the analysis of the internal factors are a) strengths (geographical position, around to production input providers and consumers, as well as the bargaining position to consumers), and b) Weakness (Human Resources, managers and assistance, the influence of pests and diseases, and the use of technology in the implementation program). External factors are c) Opportunities (policies in developing programs, government support, supporting infrastructure, and safety performance and capacity), and d) Threats (use of modern technology, collaboration with companies, cooperation, increases in prices of other products, and impact and changing weather). The priority strategy improvement program can be carried out by increasing savings by increasing compatibility, optimizing the function of the yard to increase the amount of production, increasing the bargaining position by providing quality products for profit, and marketing products by utilizing existing infrastructure.

Abstract

AbstrakPangan merupakan komoditas penting karena sangat diminati dan merupakan kebutuhan pokok manusia. Berbagai upaya terus digiatkan demi terciptanya ketahanan pangan, salah satunya peningkatan kemampuan petani dengan peningkatan pemberdayaan petani dalam memanagemen kegiatan usahataninya khususnya di komoditas padi sawah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tingkat keberdayaan petani padi sawah di kecamattan Trimurjo Kabupaten Lampung Tengah. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Kabupaten Lampung Tengah sebagai sentral penghasil padi tertinggi di Provinsi Lampung. Pelaksanaanya dilakukan pada bulan Mei-Juli 2024. Metode penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan teknik survey yang dilakukan melalui wawancara 98 responden petani. Analisis data menggunakan desain kuantitatif deskriptif. Hasil penelitian yaitu tingkat keberdayaan petani padi sawah di Kecamatan Trimurjo Kabupaten Lampung Tengah memiliki modus 3 atau klasifikasi tinggi.Kata kunci: Keberdayaan petani, penyuluh, sawah.AbstractFood is an important commodity because it is in great demand and is a basic human need. Various efforts continue to be intensified to create food security, one of which is increasing the ability of farmers by increasing farmer empowerment in managing their farming activities, especially in the lowland rice commodity. This study aims to describe the level of empowerment of lowland rice farmers in Trimurjo District, Central Lampung Regency. This research was conducted in Central Lampung Regency as the highest rice producing center in Lampung Province. It was implemented in May - July 2024. This research method was carried out using a survey technique conducted through interviews with 98 farmer respondents. Data analysis used a descriptive quantitative design. The results of the study were that the level of farmer empowerment had a mode of 3 or high classification.Keywords: Extention worker, empowertment farmer, rice field.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the income of corn farming in the contract farming program in Rarampadende Village, Dolo Barat District, Sigi Regency. The method used is a descriptive quantitative approach with primary data collection through questionnaires and interviews, as well as secondary data from official documentation. The analysis includes the calculation of farming income, R/C ratio, and B/C ratio. The results showed that the average farmer income was IDR15.935.000,00 per hectare per planting season. The average R/C ratio of 3,05 indicates that every IDR1,00 of production costs generates an income of IDR3,05; while the average B/C ratio of 2,05 indicates that every IDR1,00 of production costs generates a profit of IDR2,05. This shows that corn farming in this program is profitable. The main obstacles in this program are dependence on partner companies, price gaps, and limited access to technical training.
