Abstract

PT. Seroja Jaya Island carries out recruitment and selection of prospective workers who will be used in operating its ships so that they can work well and responsibly in accordance with the company's goals. This research aims to determine the recruitment process for ship crews belonging to PT Pulau Seroja Jaya Banjarmasin Branch. In carrying out the operations of its fleet of ships, PT. Seroja Jaya Island Banjarmasin Branch certainly requires a process of recruiting new crew and replacing ship crew professionally and in accordance with existing regulations. In this research, data collection was carried out using observation, literature study and interviews, while the data analysis method used was descriptive qualitative. The results of this research show that the ship crew recruitment process at PT. Seroja Jaya Island Banjarmasin Branch has been carried out in accordance with predetermined procedures. Terms and/or ship crew recruitment process carried out by PT. Seroja Jaya Island Banjarmasin Branch begins with submitting prospective ship crew members to ratifying the transfer order, sea work agreement and ship crew certificate by the crewing department or company. The recruitment process must be adjusted between the abilities and competencies of job applicants and the company's needs, so that in the future no jobs will be occupied by people whose abilities and skills do not suit them. Obstacles faced in the recruitment process include incomplete applicant certificates and certificates that have expired, thus hampering the administrative selection or filing process and certificates that have expired, thus hampering the administrative selection or filing process.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the efficiency and effectiveness of financing at AMN. The analysis was carried out by calculating the efficiency ratio and effectiveness ratio. The data used are secondary data in the form of financial reports and the Academy's Revenue and Expenditure Plan from 2021 to 2023. This study is a quantitative descriptive study. Based on the results of the calculation, the efficiency ratio has increased, because the smaller the efficiency ratio, the more efficient it is. While the average effectiveness ratio is 103%, which shows that overall, AMN has shown very effective performance. Fluctuations in the calculation of efficiency and effectiveness ratios indicate that AMN's financial performance varies during the study period. This shows that there are challenges in maintaining a consistent level of efficiency. This study emphasizes the importance of continuous monitoring and improvement strategies to maintain and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of Education financing at AMN.

Abstract

The steering system is one of the components that must be present on a ship, because the determination of the desired direction is controlled by this system. On the rudder there is a rudder blade and a rudder stock. The importance of the role of the ship's rudder in the sailing process so that it is necessary to analyze the working position of the ship's driver in order to minimize the risk of musculoskeletal disorders. The study was conducted by observing several prospective captains in the Nusantara Maritime Academy Cilacap simulator laboratory. The analysis was conducted using the Rapid Entire Body Assessment (REBA) and Anthropometry approaches. The results of the study showed that a worker's working position is an important thing to consider in order to create comfort in working and reduce the risk of injury such as musculoskeletal disorders. Analysis of ship steering operators in the Nusantara Maritime Academy Cilacap simulator room using REBA (Rapid Entire Body Assessment) produced a value of 4, so it can be concluded that the working position is at a moderate risk level and needs improvement. The proposed design for improving ship steering in the Nusantara Maritime Academy Cilacap simulator room uses anthropometric references carried out on 30 cadets. Measurements of body dimensions and percentiles applied as references for the proposed design of the ship's steering room are produced as follows: (1) the 50th percentile is used for the size of eye height (eye view height at the ship's window), elbow (throttle lever height and steering wheel handle height from the floor), hip height (steering wheel height from the floor), (2) the 5th percentile is used for the size of Dgmin (throttle lever diameter) and Dgmak (steering wheel diameter).

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the influence of ship loading and unloading activities on the economic growth of Cilacap Regency. Primary and secondary data are used in this study. The data that has been collected, processed, and analyzed descriptively using the SWOT analysis tool. The purpose of the study is to systematically identify various factors to formulate strategies in an effort to increase ship loading and unloading productivity. From research related to the productivity of ship loading and unloading businesses, it is known that there are several forms of loading and unloading business performance. From the study, it can be seen what factors affect ship loading and unloading productivity from several problems that arise. Factors such as the condition and status of the loading and unloading equipment and the speed of the loading and unloading process are important factors that cannot be ignored. Therefore, to increase ship productivity during the loading and unloading process, the loading and unloading time must be shortened. This can be achieved by accelerating the unloading process by using a set of tools that do not depend on the condition of the ship.

Abstract

Freight Forwarding is a shipping service activity that aims to meet the needs of goods distribution. PT Silkargo faces problems related to the untimely return of documents, which can potentially cause delays in the distribution of goods and inefficient operations. The use of Key Performance Indicators (KPI) as a performance measurement tool in handling document returns to ensure the efficiency of its performance. This study examines the application of KPI in the return of FF documents to understand and provide information on the handling of forwarding documents from both the return flowchart, the calculation of KPI, and the obstacles experienced by PT. Silkargo Indonesia. Data was collected using observation, interview, and literature study methods, while the data analysis method used qualitative descriptive methods. The final result of this study is the handling of returns, from the preparation of shipping to the return of documents that the customer has signed to PT Silkargo Indonesia, which is calculated using KPI. The results of KPI are used as a tool to measure efficiency related to timely document returns, help identify problems that cause delays in document returns, help ensure that documents are following applicable standards and provisions, evaluate human resources that have carried out their duties well and can conduct evaluations for service improvements in increasing customer satisfaction. PT Silkargo Indonesia establishes good communication with customers and provides socialization or training to parties to return original forwarding documents. Based on the results of KPI measurements in handling the return of original forwarding documents from January to April, it was declared very good.
