Abstract

This article aims to discuss the Islamic education during the Bani Ummayyah era. The history of Islamic Education is essentially related to the religion history. The periodization of Islamic education is always on the period of the history itself. The Islamic Education in the Prophet Muhammad SAW era is the period of Islamic education development by civilizing the education in daily lives as the Al-Qur’an teaching. The education during the period of Bani Umayyah has developed of if it is seen from their learning aspect, although the system is similar to it during the era of Prophet and khulafaur rasyidin. The method utilized in this research is Study of Literature, which is done by analyzing library sources in forms of relevant books and journals. The result indicates 1) the pattern of special education development such as Arabic nuances, Islamic foundation affirmation, naqliyah knowledge and language development, foreign language teaching, and kuttab and mosque strengthening; 2) development of the most stand out education field is in the institutions; 3) non-formal curriculum is used; and 4) there are many teacher figures and scholars who are capable in the scientific field.

Abstract

Kajian ini menggali pandangan Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) tentang demokrasi dan keberagaman di Indonesia, dengan fokus pada bagaimana organisasi besar seperti NU memandang hubungan antara kedua konsep tersebut. Dalam konteks ini, NU dipandang sebagai salah satu lembaga yang memiliki pengaruh signifikan dalam pembentukan sikap dan pandangan umat Islam di Indonesia terhadap demokrasi dan pluralitas agama. Dalam kajian ini, dianalisis bagaimana NU memandang demokrasi sebagai sistem politik yang kompatibel dengan prinsip-prinsip Islam, serta bagaimana organisasi tersebut mempromosikan partisipasi politik yang aktif dari umat Islam dalam ranah demokrasi. Selain itu, kajian ini juga membahas pandangan NU tentang pentingnya menjaga kerukunan antar umat beragama dalam konteks keberagaman Indonesia, serta peran NU dalam memperkuat toleransi dan dialog antaragama. Melalui pendekatan ini, diharapkan dapat memberikan pemahaman yang lebih mendalam tentang pandangan NU terhadap demokrasi dan pluralisme agama, serta dampaknya terhadap dinamika sosial dan politik di Indonesia.

Abstract

This study discusses character education in children with special needs. This research was conducted at the Sambas State Special School, Sambas Regency, West Kalimantan. This research focuses on aspects of the implementation of character education which is implemented for children with special needs at the Sambas public special school. The research approach used in this research study is a qualitative approach with a case study design. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of character education carried out in Sambas public elementary school is the implementation of self-confident and independent character for children with special needs divided into several aspects. During learning, teachers tend to use collaborative models in instilling character. In the aspect of habituation, the class teacher always gets used to small things in the form of leading prayers, or during discussions during learning. In the aspect of giving motivation, the class teacher approaches children with special needs by giving praise and positive things. In the aspect of direct guidance, the teacher visits children with special needs so that children are able to be confident and independent. In the exemplary aspect, class teachers and Special Assistance Teachers (GPK) provide direct examples to students. This is reinforced by the results obtained in the triangulation of sources and techniques, namely through strategic learning activities carried out by the teacher, namely the teacher requires all children to write, the method used by the teacher is by utilizing cards which require children with special needs to ask questions during the learning process.
