Abstract

Purpose – Digital skills among educators are becoming increasingly important and essential for creating interactive and relevant learning experiences. However, many teachers are still unprepared to fully integrate technology into their teaching and need to improve their understanding of AI technology to support the learning process. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of improving the digital skills of early childhood education (ECE) teachers through AI-Powered Learning Modules (AI-PEL) training. Design/methods/approach – This research employs a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method to evaluate the effectiveness of AI-Powered Learning Modules (AI-PEL) training for Early Childhood Education (ECE) teachers in the Tumpang Sub-district. Purposive sampling was used to select 80 ECE teachers who participated in the training. Data were collected through pre-tests and post-tests. Data analysis involved descriptive statistics using SPSS 17.0, including the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test for normality, Cronbach's Alpha for reliability, and Independent t-tests to compare group means. Findings – This study found a significant improvement in the digital skills of ECE teachers in the Tumpang Sub-district after the AI-PEL training. Initially, the teachers struggled with technology integration, but after the training, their skills and understanding of digital tools improved. Evidence shows that 68 out of 80 participants successfully created teaching modules and picture stories using AI technologies such as Chat GPT, Gemini, DeepL, and Bing Image Creator within the specified deadline. Research implications/limitations – This finding highlights the importance of improving digital skills among teachers, as it enhances their teaching effectiveness and positively impacts students' learning experiences and outcomes. This fosters an engaging, interactive, and effective learning environment in the 21st century. Practical implications – This research emphasizes the importance of supporting strategies such as developing digital learning modules, continuous mentoring, and integrating technology into the ECE curriculum. Partnerships with stakeholders are also crucial to ensuring the sustainability and effectiveness of the AI-Powered Learning Modules (AI-PEL) Training Program. These measures are essential for improving teachers' digital skills and the overall quality of teacher education in the 21st century. Originality/value – This research highlights that early childhood teachers can develop more creative and effective teaching methods with good digital skills. Abstract

Intensitas hadirnya orang tua di sekolah dapat mempengaruhi tingkat kemandirian anak usia dini. Sekolah merupakan tempat yang efektif dalam melatih kemandirian anak sebab anak dapat dengan bebas berinteraksi bersama teman sebaya maupun dengan guru. Fenomena guru yang menyekolahkan anaknya di lembaga tempatnya bekerja merupakan hal yang biasa terjadi di jenjang PAUD karena anak usia dini cenderung membutuhkan pengawasan lebih. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan tingkat kemandirian secara fisik, emosi, dan sosial anak usia dini ditinjau dari peran ganda ibu sebagai orang tua dan guru di sekolah anak. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kuantitatif dengan studi deskriptif. Metode yang digunakan survei dengan jumlah responden 32 orang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tingkat kemandirian fisik anak usia dini ditinjau dari peran ganda ibu sebagai orang tua dan guru di sekolah berada pada kategori baik dengan rata-rata presentase sebesar 79.9%. Tingkat kemandirian anak usia dini baik secara emosi dan sosial ditinjau dari peran ganda ibu sebagai orang tua dan guru di sekolah berada pada kategori cukup dengan rata-rata presentase kemandirian emosi sebesar 70.71% dan rata-rata presentase kemandirian sosial sebesar 70.9%.

Abstract

This article provides an overview of the impact of playing metaverse games for pre-school children (4-6 years old), especially on their social and emotional development. Metaverse games are games played in a computer-generated world that is not real but user can see, experience, and interact as if they were in that world through a character called an avatar. We choose the metaverse games roblox, Minecraft, bus simulator, and Sakura school simulator, as well as social emotional development which focuses on interaction activities and expressing emotion. This focus was done based on literature review and children’s habits obtained when playing online games. This study used quantitative correlation method with saturated sampling method. The research was conducted on 36 children at RA Baipas Roudlotul Jannah through an instrument in the form of a questionnaire distributed to parents. Abstract

Children have difficulty mastering the concepts of addition and subtraction as well as number recognition if they have poor numeracy skills and are not stimulated with learning aids. This is the reason for conducting research on the development of learning media. This research aims to present the findings of the development of the learning product "Smart Board Spinner" which offers numeracy teaching to children aged between five and six years. This research applies the ADDIE model. There are five stages in the model, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The validity test results of media experts and material experts respectively obtained results of 88.8% and 93.42%. Small group trial validators got a score of 92.5% and large group trial validators got a score of 96.25%. All scores obtained show high validity. Abstract

This research aims to determine the relationship between the intensity of balance bike activities and the emotional resilience of children aged 5-6 years in Malang. This research was conducted on 35 children aged 5-6 years at the XBC Pushbike Malang, FF Reborn Pushbike Malang and CAKids Pushbike Malang clubs. The type of research used in this research is quantitative descriptive research with correlation and determination test analysis methods. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. The data collection technique in this research was using a questionnaire which was distributed to the children's parents. The results of research using the Pearson product moment correlation statistical test show that the Sig (2-tailed) value is 0.009 with a correlation coefficient value of 0.437 and a determination value of 0.191. The results show that there is a significant relationship and influence between the intensity of balance bike activities on emotional resilience, with a sufficient or moderate level of relationship strength and a positive relationship direction.

Abstract

This study aims to describe whether the relationship between maternal employment and the level of health of school supplies for children aged 5-7 years at TK ABA 33 Karangploso has a significant relationship or not. This type of research is correlation research with the Eta correlation research type. The location of this research is TK ABA 33 Karangploso with the number of research objects being 36 mothers of students at TK ABA 33 Karangploso. The research was carried out from 17 to 21 June 2024. The data collection technique used a checklist observation sheet. Data analysis techniques using quantitative analysis techniques. The results obtained from this research show that the highest percentage of mothers' work is working as a housewife. The health level of children's school supplies at Kindergarten ABA 33 Karangploso is classified as healthy. And the relationship between mother's employment and the health level of children's school supplies is not related or correlated significantly. Keywords: mother occup

Abstract

High school students certainly have different considerations and reasons for choosing and deciding to enter the PGPAUD department as a place to continue their education. This study aims to determine the knowledge, interest and reasons for high school students choosing or not choosing the PGPAUD Study Program. This research used descriptive approach with quantitative research type. SMAN 1 Talun was used as a research site, with a sample of 12th grade students totaling 168 students. In this study, the sampling procedure and technique used proportional random sampling technique. The data used was primary data by distributing questionnaires to respondents. The results showed that the knowledge of equivalent high school students related to PGPAUD study programs was still classified as moderate to low. The level of interest of equivalent high school students to continue their studies to PGPAUD is still classified as moderate to low. And the level of interest and reasons for students who choose the PGPAUD UM study program is still relatively low. The reasons for high school students who will choose the PGPAUD UM Study Program are mostly due to the desire to gain insight into early childhood education. The reasons for high school students who will not choose the UM PGPAUD Study Program are mostly due to the desire to choose studies in alternative fields and lack of interest in teaching early childhood. Abstract

Sexual violence that occurs in early childhood has increased in recent years. The lack of learning media in introducing sexual education is one of the problems that need to be overcome. The purpose of this research is to create a KidSafe Game to introduce sexual education for 4-5 years old children that is effective, efficient and interesting by not limiting the resources of its users. In this study, researchers used a design (research and development) by adapting the ADDIE model which consists of 5 stages, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The results through the trial showed a significant difference in understanding from early childhood between before and after being given the KidSafe Game. The result of expert validation in terms of effectiveness, efficiency, and attractiveness obtained a percentage of 96% material expert and 97% media expert.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan perkembangan sosial emosional anak melalui media papan tempel "Emotional Check Up" untuk anak kelompok A TK Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal 39 Malang. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan yaitu penelitian tindakan kelas dengan subjek penelitian anak kelompok A usia 4-5 tahun di TK ABA 39 Malang sejumlah 20 orang Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teknik Analisis data pada penelitian ini menggunakan analisis data kuantitatif dan analisis data kualitatif. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa media papan tempel "Emotional Check Up" dapat meningkatkan perkembangan sosial emosional anak usia 4-5 tahun di TK ABA 39 Malang, yang sebelum kegiatan penggunaan media papan tempel "Emotional Check Up" dilaksanakan nilai rata-rata kemampuan sosial emosional anak sebesar 42,19% dan setelah melakukan kegiatan dengan media papan tempel "Emotional Check Up" mengalami peningkatan nilai rata-rata menjadi 82,81%.Kata kunci: Sosial emosional, Media papan tempel "Emotional Check Up", Anak kelompok A.
