Abstract

Overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) is a performance evaluation method used to measure industrial equipment productivity as a key performance indicator. This literature study aims to identify, categorize, and synthesize research related to the application, study and analysis of OEE in various industrial fields. The literature review was carried out systematically, structured and directed manner on 35 journals in Asia in the last eight years. Covering OEE's core characteristics and synergizing the strengths of the improvement framework, this study will provide a systematic guide to OEE practitioners in implementing improvements that can be used to identify areas for future development and as a reference for further research.

Abstract

More specific knowledge about Quality Function Deployment (QFD) has grown rapidly. There is a lot of research on the application of QFD in various industrial sectors including manufacturing, construction and services. However, it is still found at least the implementation of QFD in health services. This paper aims to provide a broad understanding and knowledge of the application of QFD in the healthcare industry. This paper also informs that QFD is a method that is not yet popular to be applied in the service industry, including health services. The approach used is Systematic Literature Review. This paper involves a review study of various papers from well-known databases related to the implementation of QFD in the healthcare industry. The results showed that QFD can improve service and create customer satisfaction. QFD is a tool that can be used to assist companies in improving services by translating consumer desires into the company's technical characteristics. QFD applications are also often integrated with other approaches so that QFD can be said as a complementary method that is able to provide maximum results. This paper provides benefits for practitioners to increase knowledge and references to improve company performance related to QFD applications in health services.

Abstract

Prevention of Covid-19 is important for research in order to reduce positive cases that occur in Indonesia. One of the popular research is using analytical method. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between work activity behavior, government and community regulations and social distancing as a mediator in preventing an increase in Covid-19 cases in West Java. This research method uses path analysis model. Social distancing variables directly have a positive and significant impact on preventing positive cases of Covid-19, meaning that with social distancing the spread of the Covid-19 virus can be reduced. The effect of social distancing on the prevention of positive cases of Covid-19 is 87% and the remaining 13% is due to the influence of other factors. Based on the four variables used as predictors of the prevention of Covid-19 cases, the social distance variable is the strongest variable that affects the prevention of positive cases of Covid-19 compared to the other three variables. Social distancing is very important to reduce the spread of Covid-19 cases. The implication of this research shows that awareness of people's behavior by keeping a distance is very important to prevent the Covid-19 virus.

Abstract

Total Sulfur Analyzer (TS Analyzer) is one of the machines in the laboratory to test the total sulfur content contained in coal samples. Technically, specifications and use are regulated by international standards. In 2020, the downtime of these tools was very high, causing the productivity of surveyors to decrease. Low productivity will have an impact on the company's losses. The productivity of this equipment and machines is crucial to maintaining the company's success in its business processes. This study aims to measure the effectiveness of the operational performance of the TS Analyzer machine in the laboratory, analyze the causative factors and make improvements. This research uses the integration method of Failure Mode And Effect Analysis (FMEA) and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE). Based on the analysis of the causes of the problem, the low OEE value is caused by the high breakdown loss. Based on the FMEA analysis, it was found that the operator was wrong in operating the machine with RPN 343, electrical instability with RPN 343, unstable temperature with RPN 343 and improper thermocouple installation. The results showed that the OEE value of the TS Analyzer machine has increased after the improvement.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has put all businesses in a downturn. This has an impact on the After Sales business such as service parts, accessories and domestic inhouse parts due to the Covid19 pandemic. During the Covid-19 was a very difficult year for the four-wheeled automotive industry in Indonesia where sales decreased drastically from an average of not less than 1 million units to only 600 units a year. This study aims to reduce transportation costs during ongoing business processes. The method used is Milkrun. The research results found that the calculation of transportation costs, it is found that the transportation costs in FY20 are 4,809 MIDR per year because the supplier directly sends the product to the customer so that the transportation cost is based on the distance between the supplier and the customer. By using the milkrun method, transportation costs can be reduced to 3,219 MIDR because the moving transporters take parts from several suppliers that are quite close
