Abstract

The size of the reverberation time is determined by the volume of the room and the type of surface material in the room. Lecture rooms at 701 and 702, Building L, 7th Floor, Bachelor of Architecture Study Program, Tarumanagara University have lecture rooms dominated by glass windows with aluminum frames on both sides of the room and exposed concrete beams and columns. These materials tend to increase reverberation time. Apart from that, the two lecture rooms are also often used simultaneously. Using both lecture rooms simultaneously will increase the volume of the room. The larger the room volume also increases the reverberation time. This research aims to optimize the reverberation time of 2 lecture rooms that are used simultaneously. Lecture rooms and the types of materials forming the rooms were experimented with using Ecotect. Lecture rooms 701 and 702 were used as research samples. The number of occupants in the class was counted as 80 people because not all the tables were filled with students. The research results show that combining 2 lecture rooms causes problems with reverberation time. The reverberation time in existing conditions is 1.11 seconds. To overcome the high reverberation time, it was necessary to replace the ceiling covering from gypsum to acoustic in lecture room 701. After replacing the ceiling, the reverberation time decreased to 0.74 seconds. This value is close to the optimal reverberation time which has a value of 0.77 seconds.

Abstract

The gate has a function as a boundary marker for an area and describes the identity of a place and adds aesthetics if it has an attractive design. Currently, the RT 17 settlement already has a gate made of bamboo. However, unfortunately the gate still does not depict the identity of the RT. Based on these problems, this PKM aims to produce a gate design at the entrance to the RT 17 settlement that is able to depict the identity of the settlement. The implementation method is carried out in 3 stages over 6 months. The first stage is to conduct a field survey and coordinate with the Chair of RW 08 Kemanggisan regarding the concept of the gate and green area that will be developed. The second stage is the design process. The third stage is submitting the design to PKM partners. The silhouette of the mangosteen fruit filling is used as an ornament on the gate to depict the gate in the Kemanggisan sub-district. The relief on the gate wall has a Betawi batik pattern which also provides an identity that the RT 17 settlement is in Jakarta which is strong in Betawi culture. The honey pergola near the gate is still maintained, only 2 horizontal bamboo poles need to be added to make it safer. The seating area is an angled concrete bench. Pots of ornamental plants around the gate seating area can also be added to add to the beauty around the gate. The results of the gate design have been submitted to PKM partners and it is hoped that the residents of RT 17 Kemanggisan will be able to build a gate based on the gate design as a reference ABSTRAK Gapura mempunyai fungsi sebagai tanda batas suatu wilayah dan menggambarkan identitas suatu tempat dan menambah estetika jika mempunyai desain yang menarik.
