Abstract

Production of cherry tomatoes in Indonesia is still low, which might be due to the inappropriate planting and maintenance processes. This research applied biological agent microorganisms Streptomyces sp. and Trichoderma sp. as Plant Growth Promoting Microorganisms (PGPM) in sustainable agricultural systems. This study aimed to determine the effect of the concentration of microorganisms Streptomyces sp. and Trichoderma sp. on the growth and production of cherry tomato plants on the polybag scale. The study was arranged with different concentrations of microorganisms Streptomyces sp. and Trichoderma sp. These concentration applied consisted of 1 : 0 ; 0 : 1 ; 2: 2 ; 3 ; 1 and without PGPM, each repeated four times. The results showed that the treatment of PGPM Streptomyces sp. and without Trichoderma sp. (1:0) resulted in the shortest flowering period (33.99 days after planting). Meanwhile, the treatment without Streptomyces sp. and Trichoderma sp. (0 : 1) produced the highest solid weight fruit (69.82 grams/plant).

Abstract

The problem is the abundance of untapped teak wood waste that has an impact on environmental pollution. The purpose of this community service activities is to develop an agro-industrial area and become a marketing platform for wood waste processing products. The service activities include: (1) programing preparation and socialization stage, (2) programing and to do exhibition assistance training, (3) monitoring and evaluation, (4) Marketing and promotion. The results obtained from processed teak waste are in the form of vehicle souvenirs such as cars, vespa, motorbikes, rickshaws, mineral water containers, fruit containers, and ashtrays which have been exhibited as superior products at the sub-district level. This program is implemented by UPN Veteran East Java together with Soerja Ngawi University and the Ngawi Food Security Agency. Activities carried out include comparative studies, mentoring, apprenticeship, procurement of tools and training for making souvenirs from waste, and marketing for groups of craftsmen. Waste processing is beneficial for the community in increasing knowledge and skills, increasing community income, and making the regional superior product of Ngawi Regency. Environmental pollution can be overcome by utilizing waste into superior products.

Abstract

This Madura local cucumber has the advantage of having a large shape and savory taste. These local Madura cucumber seeds have special characteristics compared to Javanese cucumbers, namely they contain a lot of water and a lot of seeds. Farmers in Indonesia plant a lot of introduced cucumber varieties because they have larger and uniform fruits, but these seeds cannot be planted again in the next planting period. Therefore, it is necessary to make special efforts to improve the genetic characteristics of seeds in cucumber plants through plant breeding. This study aims to determine and obtain the LD50 value and to determine and obtain the growth yield of local Madura cucumber plants irradiated by Gamma Cobalt-60 rays. This research was conducted in Burneh Village, Burneh District, Bangkalan Regency. The time of the research starts from May 2021 to June 2021. Consists of 11 levels with codes D0 without irradiation (0Gy/control), D1 (100Gy), D2 (200Gy), D3 (300Gy), D4 (400Gy), D5 ( 500Gy), D6 (600Gy), D7 (700Gy), D8 (800Gy), D9 (900Gy), D10 (1000Gy). There are 11 experimental plots and using a single plant which is a plant without replication in the same planting environment with T-test analysis at 5% and 1% levels. The results showed that the Cobalt-60 gamma ray irradiation dose obtained a Lethal Dose 20 (LD20) of 306.752 Gy and a Lethal Dose of 50 (LD50) of 690.92 Gy. Cobalt-60 gamma ray irradiation affects the growth and yield of plant height, fruit weight and fruit length parameters on Madura local cucumbers.

Abstract

Faktor pertama konsentrasi POC TGH T0=kontrol; T1= 10 ml/l; T2= 15 ml/l; T3=20 ml/l, faktor kedua yaitu konsentrasi hormon giberelin G0=kontrol; G1= 50 ppm; G2= 80 ppm; G3= 110 ppm. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa pemberian konsentrasi POC TGH 20 ml/l dan hormon giberelin 50 ppm memberikan pengaruh yang nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, jumlah cabang, umur berbunga, jumlah buah, bobot buah per tanaman per periode tanaman dan jumlah buah total panen per tanaman.
