Abstract

Increasing the effectiveness and efficiency of agriculture can be done by applying sensor technology, automation, monitoring, and remote control through the Wireless Sensor Network (WSN). One of the technologies used is Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE). The presence of the ESP32's System on Chip (SoC) makes it possible to implement a battery-powered WSN device that is suitable for agricultural purposes when the electrical infrastructure is limited. In this research, a battery-powered BLE sensor node prototype has been created. The node can transmit temperature, humidity, and battery level information. The data sent has been designed based on the Bluetooth Generic Attribute Profile (GATT) standards and specifications. nRF Connect’s application shows that the data sent by the designed node complies with the GATT attributes standard. Testing of temperature and humidity sensor readings has also been carried out with 1% and 2.2% errors respectively. Tests were also carried out on battery-level readings and a 4.2% error was obtained. Through distance testing between nodes, the node can transmit data properly up to 10 meters.

Abstract

The increasing need for electrical energy is becoming a problem due to limited fossil energy, so it is necearry to know locations that have the potential to generate electricity from renewable energy. This study simulates and analyzes the potential of solar and wind energy in Bontang Kuala as a power plant using Homer software. Load planning uses a peak load of 38,44 kW and usage of 471,56 kWh/day from the results of a survei conducted at one of the RTs in Bontang Kuala. The simulation produces three optimal configurations of three types of generators, namely Solar Cell, Hybrid Power Plant and Wind Power Plant. The most optimal configuration is the Solar Cell system with the smallest NPC value of Rp3,6 B and this system has a solar panel capacity of 142 kW, a battery capacity of 461 kWh and an inverter capacity of 50 kW.

Abstract

Di era pesatnya kemajuan teknologi, kebutuhan tersedianya listrik di kalangan masyarakat Indonesia terus meningkat. Oleh karenanya, panel surya dapat menjadi pilihan sebagai sumber energi listrik baru terbarukan yang dapat mengurangi ketergantungan terhadap pembangkit listrik tenaga fosil. Namun penggunaan panel surya yang digunakan masyarakat, pada umumnya memiliki proses instalasi peletakan panel surya yang masih diletakkan secara Statis (diam). Sehingga tujuan penelitian ini untuk merancang purwarupa Solar Tracker serta membandingkan Tegangan dan Arus yang dihasilkan pada panel surya yang diletakkan secara Statis (diam), dengan panel surya yang telah dilengkapi Solar Tracking System. Pada Solar Tracker tersebut dilengkapi dengan dua unit Linear Aktuator yang dapat menggerakkan panel surya baik dari arah Timur-Barat maupun Utara-Selatan, dengan sensor peng-indera cahaya matahari menggunakan empat sensor Light Dependent Resistor. Pengujian perbandingan panel surya menggunakan dua buah panel surya yang identik dengan kapasitas 50 Watt-Peak (WP) dengan pengukuran Tegangan dan Arus menggunakan sensor INA219, dan pengambilan data menggunakan Data Logger. Dari hasil pengujian menunjukkan panel surya dengan Solar Tracking System mampu menghasilkan rerata Tegangan 14,04volt dan rerata Arus 1,73A, sedangkan panel surya dengan instalasi Statis (diam) hanya menghasilkan rerata Tegangan 14,12volt dan rerata Arus 1,25A saja, sehingga penggunaan Solar Tracker dapat disimpulkan cukup dalam meningkatkan potensi daya pada panel surya.

Abstract

A fast and stable internet connection is the hope of all agencies and companies in their efforts to improve online performance. However, sometimes there are many obstacles to getting the desired connection quality, especially if we expect it from only 1 internet service provider. Adding an ISP in an effort to improve connection quality could be a solution if configured correctly. Load Balancing is a way to combine two network connections into one. The solution that can be taken to overcome this problem is by implementing the Nth method of load balancing and failover techniques which function to divide and balance the traffic load on the two existing connection lines and failover functions to back up if one of the ISPs goes down. The failover method test results showed that Indihome was 1 second and Indosat LTE was 2 seconds, with these results being categorized as very fast. For the Nth method load balancing results, the average Throughput results were 14472 kbps for 360p, 45501 kbps for 480p, and 27678 kbps for 720p. These results can be categorized as very good from the TIPHON standard, for an average delay of 87.25 ms for 360p, 340.6 ms for 480p and 375 ms for 720p from these results can be categorized as sufficient from the TIPHON standard, finally the average packet loss is 0.6% for 360p, 0.4% for 480p and 0.3% for 720p from these results can be categorized as very good by TIPHON standards.

Abstract

Cattle plays an important role in meeting food demand in Indonesia, especially in the livestock sector, where cattle farms must be prepared to provide beef supply to various regions in Indonesia. On the other hand, in East Kalimantan, the demand for beef is also increasing along with the growth of population and economic activity. The role of technology is also quite important in meeting the need for beef. One of them is the use of website information system technology as a recording and reporting application. One of the distributors also involved in cattle farming in East Kalimantan is PT XYZ, which was newly established in 2020. The need for technology includes recording system, reporting system and cattle weight forecasting system. The purpose of this study is to design a web-based application that helps PT XYZ to record, report and predict cattle weight. The application development used Laravel framework to predict the increase in cattle weight using linear regression method. While the methodology used to develop the application was Waterfall method which included the phases of requirement analysis, application design, software development, testing and implementation. The application testing results showed that the application complied with the design that has been implemented and all the functions on the application page worked properly. The cattle weight recording and forecasting information system generated various reports, such as monthly cattle weight progress, monthly cattle sales reports, cattle weight growth forecast analysis, and cattle sales profit reports.

Abstract

Penelitian ini memprediksi kebutuhan listrik di Kabupaten Berau untuk 2025-2027 menggunakan regresi linear sederhana. Analisis data 2019-2024 menunjukkan tren pertumbuhan jumlah pelanggan dan daya tersambung yang konsisten. Model regresi memperkirakan kenaikan pelanggan sebesar 464,96 per bulan dan daya tersambung bertambah 1,04 MVA tiap bulan. Validasi menggunakan Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) menunjukkan tingkat kesalahan rendah, yaitu 0,6% untuk pelanggan listrik dan 3,7% untuk daya tersambung. Hasil peramalan memproyeksikan peningkatan pelanggan dari 89.331 pada 2024 menjadi 105.908 pada 2027, serta daya tersambung dari 183,90 MVA menjadi 207,57 MVA. Untuk menghadapi lonjakan permintaan, PT PLN (Persero) perlu meningkatkan infrastruktur serta menyediakan cadangan daya sebesar 13,10 MVA guna menjaga stabilitas pasokan listrik.

Abstract

East Kalimantan faces a growing electricity demand of 12% annually, while production increases only by 8.5%, posing a potential energy crisis. Diesel Power Plants (PLTD) remain the primary solution, despite their reliance on depleting fossil fuels. This study evaluates the performance of PLTD Karang Asam throughout 2024 using efficiency and reliability indicators.The analysis reveals that the average Capacity Factor (CF) is only 2.04%, significantly below PLN’s standard of 55–65%. The Output Factor (OF) is recorded at 7.25%, indicating low utilization of output energy relative to installed capacity. The Load Factor (LF) stands at 2.82%, fluctuating between 0.26% and 10.83%, reflecting low capacity usage and operational instability. In terms of reliability, the Operating Availability Factor (OAF) reaches 85.99%, showing good operational readiness. However, disruptions persist, with an Outage Factor (OF) of 6.96% and an Outage Rate (OR) of 1.1. Fuel consumption efficiency remains within PLN’s standard, with an average Specific Fuel Consumption (SFC) of 0.283. To improve efficiency and ensure sustainable electricity supply, PT PLN plans to implement a dieselization program, replacing PLTD with power plants based on New and Renewable Energy (NRE). This transition aims to reduce dependence on fossil fuels and enhance the stability of East Kalimantan’s power system.
