Abstract

Musi River is the lifeblood of Palembang’s resident since the day kingdom of Sriwijaya. The existence of the Musi river becomes important in public life Palembang’s of resident. . Palembang city grow and develop from the banks of the Musi river. It can be seen from the structure of spatial and settlement and patterns of social life of the people which were originally all the old village oriented to the river and make the river as part of the livelihood changes and moves away from the river. Its resulted in morphological changes of space Palembang which originally Musi river as the front into the rear. As is general, the banks of the river into a desenly populated area and tend rundown. This condition is one of the causes few problems. Therefore, this research takes place on the banks of the Musi river whick crosses the city of Palembnag. This study of the research uses quaoitative research process to produce descriptive data in the form of words orspoken as a from of policy. This research’s approach is rationalistic with comparative theory settlements. This research is a study of the characteristics of settlement patterns by looking at the structure of the settelement pattern is an orientation initially Musi river settelement patterns that change with the development of infrastructure.

Abstract

Abstrak Workshop ini bertujuan untuk merancang infrastruktur kota yang ramah sepeda di Kota Palembang dengan fokus pada keberlanjutan dan mobilitas hijau. Menghadapi masalah kemacetan dan polusi udara akibat urbanisasi, perancangan jalur sepeda yang aman dan terintegrasi dengan transportasi umum menjadi solusi yang penting. Dalam kegiatan ini, peserta adalah mahasiswa dan pemerintah kota Palembang lebih kurang 100 orang berkolaborasi untuk menghasilkan desain jalur sepeda yang mendukung transportasi hijau, dilengkapi dengan fasilitas publik seperti parkir sepeda dan ruang hijau. Studi kasus Kota Palembang diangkat untuk menunjukkan potensi pengurangan emisi karbon dan peningkatan kualitas hidup warga melalui pengembangan infrastruktur sepeda. Hasil PKM adalah  desain yang dapat diimplementasikan oleh pemerintah kota untuk mewujudkan mobilitas perkotaan yang berkelanjutan. Kasus yang diangkat dalam workshop ini adalah Kota Palembang, yang memiliki potensi besar untuk mengembangkan jaringan sepeda yang efisien guna mengurangi ketergantungan pada kendaraan bermotor. Perancangan infrastruktur ramah sepeda, diharapkan dapat tercipta budaya bersepeda di kalangan warga kota sekaligus mendukung target Kota Palembang dalam upaya pengurangan emisi karbon dan peningkatan kesehatan masyarakat. Tujuan  workshop ini adalah desain infrastruktur kota ramah sepeda yang dapat diimplementasikan oleh pemerintah kota dalam rangka menciptakan mobilitas perkotaan yang lebih berkelanjutan dan hijau. Kata kunci: perancangan infrastruktur; kota ramah sepeda; keberlanjutan; mobilitas hijau; kota palembang; urbanisasi. Abstract This workshop aims to design bicycle-friendly city infrastructure in Palembang City with a focus on sustainability and green mobility. Facing the problems of congestion and air pollution due to urbanization, designing safe bicycle lanes integrated with public transportation is an important solution. In this activity, participants were students and the Palembang city government, approximately 100 people collaborated to produce a bicycle lane design that supports green transportation, equipped with public facilities such as bicycle parking and green spaces. The case study of Palembang City was raised to show the potential for reducing carbon emissions and improving the quality of life of residents through the development of bicycle infrastructure. The results of the PKM are designs that can be implemented by the city government to realize sustainable urban mobility. The case raised in this workshop is Palembang City, which has great potential to develop an efficient bicycle network to reduce dependence on motorized vehicles. The design of bicycle-friendly infrastructure is expected to create a cycling culture among city residents while supporting the targets of Palembang City in efforts to reduce carbon emissions and improve public health. The purpose of this workshop is to design bicycle-friendly city infrastructure that can be implemented by the city government in order to create more sustainable and green urban mobility. Keywords: infrastructure design; bicycle-friendly city; sustainability; green mobility; city palembang; urbanization.

Abstract

Abstrak Pengabdian masyarakat ini membahas perancangan dan pengembangan lingkungan binaan pada Taman Penitipan Anak (TPA) berbasis konsep rumah cerdas dengan studi kasus Timiomi Daycare. Fokus utama terletak pada penciptaan ruang yang aman, nyaman, dan mendukung tumbuh kembang anak usia dini melalui integrasi teknologi serta pendekatan desain yang ramah anak. Tujuan pengabdian masyarakat ini beradaptasi dengan studi literatur, observasi lapangan, dan wawancara dengan pengelola daycare serta orang tua. Hasil pengabdian masyarakat dari studi ini menunjukkan bahwa pengembangan lingkungan fisik yang didukung teknologi pintar seperti sistem monitoring keamanan, pencahayaan otomatis, dan kontrol suhu ruangan dapat meningkatkan kualitas pelayanan serta memberikan rasa aman bagi anak dan orang tua. Fasilitas dilengkapi mainan edukatif, puzzle, balok, buku cerita, dan area bermain lunak (soft play), area taman dengan permainan fisik seperti perosotan, jungkat-jungkit, dan ayunan yang aman, berujuan untuk menstimulasi motorik kasar dan halus, serta melatih interaksi sosial. Selain itu, penataan ruang yang fleksibel, pemilihan material non-toksik, serta integrasi area bermain edukatif turut menunjang perkembangan motorik dan kognitif anak. Hasil ppengabdian masyarakat  ini merekomendasikan model pengembangan lingkungan TPA yang adaptif terhadap kebutuhan anak, berkelanjutan, dan mendukung sistem pengasuhan modern berbasis rumah cerdas. Kata kunci: lingkungan binaan; taman penitipan anak; rumah cerdas; desain rumah anak; timiomi daycare Abstract This community service discusses the design and development of a built environment in a Child Care Center (TPA) based on the concept of a smart home with a case study of Timiomi Daycare. The main focus is on creating a safe, comfortable space that supports the growth and development of early childhood through the integration of technology and a child-friendly design approach. The purpose of this community service is adapted from literature studies, field observations, and interviews with daycare managers and parents. The results of community service from this study indicate that the development of a physical environment supported by smart technology such as a security monitoring system, automatic lighting, and room temperature control can improve the quality of service and provide a sense of security for children and parents. The facilities are equipped with educational toys, puzzles, blocks, story books, and soft play areas, garden areas with safe physical games such as slides, seesaws, and swings, aimed at stimulating gross and fine motor skills, and training social interaction. In addition, flexible spatial planning, selection of non-toxic materials, and integration of educational play areas also support children's motor and cognitive development. The results of this community service recommend a model for developing a TPA environment that is adaptive to children's needs, sustainable, and supports a modern care system based on smart homes.Keywords: built environment; childcare; smart home; child-friendly design; timiomi daycare.
