Abstract

The cutting down of forests and the depletion of natural sources through destructive technology resulted in the warming of the climate and the diminishing of the ozone layer is a matter of great concern for modern man. Many efforts were taken at the international level to overcome the environmental crisis but all in vain. Divinity has the potential to overcome all such crises at all levels. The Muslim community is charged with the religious responsibility of protecting all aspects of the environment and the protection of the earth and its ecosystem is the first and foremost responsibility. Due to human activities, global warming is a serious threat to the world because of the environmental crisis which has a huge impact on not only humans but all creatures across the globe and raised serious challenges for the future. It seems that this problem started when a modern man stopped understanding himself as the vicegerent of God and trustee of the All-Merciful God and stopped understanding nature as a sacred sign and valuable trust from God. Environmental protection is an important aspect of Islam. This paper aims to understand the significance of religious teachings as a driving force for the majority of human beings. Islamic guidelines are worth to be implemented to protect the ecosystem and ecology for a better future. Islamic teachings in this regard not only serve in academia but its spiritual values mold human behaviors and restrict large-scale politico-colonial engagements, to safeguard the environment.

Abstract

Shari’ah is the divine law for human beings to regulate their lives according to the will of God. In academia, it became a central focus for a large number of Muslim and non-Muslim scholars. Some considered it revealed law while others considered it a Juristic extraction of law known worldwide as jurisprudence. But it is obvious it is divine in nature as elaborated by Muslim scholarship as per need and requirement for human welfare. In the contemporary era under the influence of secular teachings, the Euro-centric scholarship cogitates it as a private affair but relevant to some issues of Muslim life called personal law affairs and rituals but, Muslim scholarship considered standardized law related to all affairs of life from polity to justice so as to achieve nearness of God (taqwa). It is noteworthy that, though Ghazali codified Maqasid al-Shari’ah within five objectives, other scholars included other necessary aspects that govern all affairs of human life, so that no one will be ill-treated. They uphold that it is a human welfare methodology that necessarily, safeguards human interests at local and international levels and makes it incumbent to regulate Muslim life through inclusive and exclusive methods on a priority basis.

Abstract

Scholars explore the concept of rationality from various angles, often associating it with thinking that transcends divine considerations. In these debates, some academics have positioned themselves against the Quran, questioning its consistency with rational thought—however, many scholars argue that the Quran addresses subjects metaphysically, harmonizing reason and revelation. A detailed examination reveals numerous verses advocating reasoning, critical thinking, and empirical analysis. These verses invite believers to reflect on natural phenomena, historical events, and ethical dilemmas, underscoring the Quran's emphasis on intellectual engagement and moral discernment.  This paper elucidates the Quran's nuanced approach to rationality by analyzing over five dozen Quranic verses that directly or indirectly discuss the nature and application of reason. Using Islamic research methodologies, it highlights the balance between reason and spirituality, showing that rational thinking is integral to Quranic teachings. This study addresses skeptical or misleading criticisms, affirming that the Quran integrates reason and revelation to offer a comprehensive intellectual and spiritual development framework. Future research should examine how Quranic rationality informs contemporary Islamic thought and practice, especially concerning modern scientific and ethical challenges. Comparative studies between Quranic perspectives on rationality and other philosophical or religious traditions are also recommended to foster interfaith and intercultural understanding.

Abstract

Communication plays a significant role in modern-day life. It is the process of sharing ideas, information, and messages with others. It encompasses writing and speaking, as well as nonverbal communication (such as facial expressions, body language, or gestures), visual communication (including images, pictures, paintings, photography, video, or film). The major electronic communication (including telephone calls, email, cable television, or satellite broadcasts) and social media have impact on human mind. Such communication is a vital part of community and personal life and is also important in business, education, and any other situation where people encounter each other. An attempt is made to present the Islamic Model of Communication, which states that communication should be for the betterment of society and to encourage good deeds. Such a model is based on divine guidance, which is based on messengers who communicate or forward to the general public. Considering its divine origin, the insights were drawn from the Quran, Sunnah of the Prophet and renowned scholars and established communication theories to validate the argument.

Abstract

This article examines how Naqshbandi Sufi principles can serve as a spiritual framework for addressing the ethical and psychological harms associated with contemporary social media culture. The study employs a conceptual and hermeneutic textual analysis, using classical Naqshbandi treatises and Qur’anic–Prophetic teachings as primary sources. These texts were thematically analyzed to extract the Eleven Naqshbandi Principles and map them to major digital harms documented in media psychology literature, such as addiction, distraction, narcissistic self-presentation, cyberbullying, and exposure to harmful content. The article proposes a theoretical model the Naqshbandi Digital Ethics Framework which integrates attention discipline, intention purification, and moral self-regulation as spiritual countermeasures to these harms. The findings contribute to Islamic communication ethics and offer practical implications for da‘wah, education, and digital literacy initiatives. The article further outlines directions for future empirical validation through educational and counseling interventions.
