Abstract

Munas MUI ke-9 yang digelar di Surabaya tahun 2015, mengusung tema ?Islam wasathiyyah untuk Indonesia dan dunia yang berkeadilan dan berkeadaban.? Tema dikehendaki untuk   membumikan Islam yang berkeadilan, moderat, seimbang, berkemajuan dan toleran. Posisi MUI sebagai tenda besar umat Islam, memiliki posisi strategis bagi umat Islam di Indonesia yang majemuk. Namun, sejauh mana tema tersebut tersosialisasikan kepada struktur organisasi di bawahnya?. Dengan menggunakan logika induktif menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Penelitian menemukan bahwa  wasathiyyah dimaknai sebagai pertengahan,   akomodatip,  adil,  dan moderat. Konsep tersebut diimplementasikan pada program kerja yang terfokus pada empat hal yaitu a) Pembentukan kesadaran terhadap aturan, baik agama maupun Negara. b) Penyatuan umat. c) Edukasi sosial dan pemberdayaan kesejahteraan masyarakat. d) Kaderisasi dan pengkajian. Faktor Pendukung program adalah wilayah Karesidenan Madiun yang kental sistem kekerabatannya, wilayah pesantren,   struktur dan kepengurusan MUI yang akomodatif, serta program kerja MUI yang mengacu pada kemaslahatan umum. Sementara faktor penghambat adalah adanya ketidakterwakilan dari sebagian elemen keagamaan, peluang keterlibatan sebagian anggota MUI dalam kontestasi politik dukung mendukung, kuatnya dominasi dan doktrinasi ormas keagamaan dan ketaatan kepada tokoh,  dan kurang maksimalnya transformasi konsep wasathiyyah. The 9th MUI National Conference held in Surabaya in 2015 carries the theme "Wasathiyyah Islam for Indonesia and the world that is just and civilized." The theme is intended to ground Islam that is just, moderate, balanced, progressive and tolerant. MUI's position as a large Muslim tent has a strategic position for Muslims in a pluralistic Indonesia. However, to what extent is the theme socialized to the organizational structure below? By using inductive logic and using a qualitative approach. The study found that wasathiyyah was interpreted as mid, accommodative, fair and moderate. The concept is implemented in a work program that focuses on four things, namely: a) Establishing awareness of rules, both religion and state. b) Unification of the Ummah. c) Social education and empowerment of community welfare. d) Cadreization and assessment. Program Supporting Factors are the Madiun Residency area which has a strong kinship system, boarding area, accommodative MUI structure and management, and MUI work programs that refer to general welfare. While the inhibiting factor is the absence of representation from some religious elements, the chance of involvement of some members of the MUI in supporting political contestation supports, strong domination and doctrination of religious organizations and obedience to figures, and a less than optimal transformation of the concept of wasathiyyah.

Abstract

Salah satu janji agama adalah kebahagiaan bagi pengikutnya. Janji tersebut diterjemahkan sesuai dengan mindstreem masing-masing. Salah satunya adalah Jamaah Tabligh.  Jamaah Tabligh menyatakan dirinya sebagai komunitas yang netral dalam bermadzhab, ber-ormas, dan berpolitik, tetapi dalam bingkai ahl al-sunnah wa aljamâ?ah. Mereka lebih menonjolkan aktivitas keberagamaannya secara riil melalui praktik dakwah dengan mengedepankan akhlaq. Menurut Jamaah Tabligh tujuan hidup adalah untuk beribadah, sebagai khalifah, dan untuk berdakwah. Realitas di lapangan menunjukkan bahwa Jamaah Tabligh memiliki etos kerja yang kuat dan ulet. Berdasarkan hal tersebut dirumuskan pertanyaan, bagaimana pandangan mereka terhadap kerja, ikhtiyar, dan tawakkal serta faktor-faktor yang melingkupinya. Pertanyaan tersebut dijawab dengan menggunakan logika induktif dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif melalui analisis dan pemaknaan data lapangan yang telah diorganisir dengan sistematis untuk menemukan makna yang terdalam (deep-meaning) di balik realitas yang ada. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pola hidup Jamaah Tabligh didasarkan pada pemahaman konsep keagamaan yang dipegangi, yaitu enam sifat shahabat. Dari pemahaman tersebut, mereka berkeyakinan bahwa rizki dan keperluan hidup telah ditentukan Allah. Tetapi manusia wajib untuk mencari dan mengupayakan. Mereka memandang materi sebagai bagian yang tak terpisahkan dalam kehidupan, tetapi bukan menjadi tujuan hidup. Dari konsep pemahaman tersebut sekaligus menjadi dasar dalam berinteraksi dan berakulturasi dengan suasana yang baru. Akhirnya proses yang dilakukan dapat dimanfaatkan dan membentuk iklim kompetisi yang sehat dan berakhir dengan kemakmuran dan keharmonian kehidupan.

Abstract

This study is about the effect of rationale application usage as innovative learning application to help the students being critical thinker in writing argumentative text. It was attempted to investigate (1) whether there is any significant difference between students reasoning ability, (2) whether there is any significant difference between students structuring ability, and (3) whether there is any significant difference between students analyzing ability who are taught by using rationale application as found in their argumentative writing and those who are not taught without using rationale. To do so, a quasi-experimental designed was administered to a sample of University students (N=50). In order to answer the research questions, the data are analyzed by using independent sample t-test. SPSS 21 is used to do those statistical analysis. In conclusion, the findings showed that rationale application can be chosen as an alternative media of improving critical thinking in argumentative writing. It was proved by the findings of the study that bring us to the point that there was a significant difference on the students’ critical thinking in some aspects (reasoning, structuring and analyzing ability) as found in their argumentative writing between learners in experimental and control group. Learners who are given rationale application treatment achieve higher than those who are given conventional method.

Abstract

As  the  generic  approach  for  teaching  all  subjects  in  the  2013 Curriculum,  five stages  of  Scientific  approach  (SA)  are  subject  to  adaptation  (Permendiknas 103/2014).  In  response  to  this, English  lessons have married  it with genre-based approach  (GBA)  through  stages  of  instruction,  namely  building  context  or knowledge of the field, modeling of text and deconstructing  it,  joint construction of  text, and  independent  instruction of  text. This paper  reports an analysis of an English  lesson  transcript which has been claimed as applying scientific approach in  Hafidah?s  (2014)  study.  Through  a  qualitative  analysis,  all  the  classroom language  used  by  both  teacher  and  her  students  were  categorized  in  to  their intended  five SA  stages, GBA  stages and  their pedagogical  intentions  (Johnson, 1990).  The whole  classroom  language  use  was  then  analysed  for  its  inductive-deductive  reasoning.  Results  show  that  there  is  little  evidence  of  scientific approach in that lesson transcript.

Abstract

The moslem ethics of life is based on movement as ex­pressed in certain terms like al-sharī’ah, al-tarīqah, al-sirāt, al-sabīl and al-manhaj, that make sense of way and teachings to achieve good life. Islam obliges and gives appreciation of the achievements of Mus­lims. The Qur’an uses several terms to refer to such work; ‘charity, kasb, juhd, ibtighâ’, sa ’yu and su ’âl. From this concept, the Qur’an considers work as nob­le, while begging is despicable. Work means thankful to God for the potential He bestows. The Qur’an promotes work not only because it is the way to achieve the wealth, but also because it possesses the its sacred value for the benefit of fulfilling livelihood. Therefore the work should also be done based on ethical values .

Abstract

Smartphone presence in today’s era truly advantages students in both learning process and personal business. However, when there is no good time management of smartphone usage, students may experience technostress. Regarding this issue, this study strived to examine the effectiveness of group counseling with SFBC and mindfulness training group approaches to reduce the technostress of students who use smartphone. In its implementation, there were 14 students chosen using random assignment as the samples and divided into two groups with each group consisted of 7 students. For the method, this study used experimental method with randomized pretest-posttest comparison group design. Students’ technostress data were collected using technostress scale and analyzed through Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test and Mann Whitney. It was found that: 1) the group counseling with SFBC approach successfully reduced the students’ technostress in the SFBC experimental group. 2) Mindfulness training group made it to reduce the students’ technostress in mindfulness training group experimental group. 3) the intervention in the SFCB experimental group appeared to be more effective to reduce the technostress of students who use smartphone compared to the mindfulness training group. Thus, it is recommended to apply the group counseling with SFBC approach to reduce the technostress of students who use smartphone.
