Abstract

Abstract: This research is related to the problem of the habit of fasting on Mondays and Thursdays towards the formation of Islamic character in accordance with religious teachings, which is not only character formation that is important and instilled in humans but needs improvement after character formation. Because considering the many young people who play a major role in the progress of changing times and so as not to fall into this rapid flow of globalization. The focus of the problem based on the background that has been written above, namely: (1) What is the form of character that is applied in the habit of fasting on Mondays and Thursdays at the Al Fatich Islamic Boarding School, Surabaya? (2) What is the process of character building through fasting at the Al Fatich Islamic Boarding School, Surabaya. The research method used in this writing uses a qualitative approach which collects data using observation, interview and documentation methods. Data obtained from Islamic boarding school caretakers, administrators, and students as informants in this study. The results of the study show that: First, the form of character that is applied in the habit of fasting on Monday and Thursday is described in daily life in accordance with religious teachings. Second, in the process of character formation, it describes the stages in forming character through fasting based on character values. Keywords: Habit, Fasting Monday Thursday, Islamic Character.

Abstract

Abstrak: Artikel ini bertunjuan untuk mengupas tentang subtansi Kitab al-Muntaqâ Min Ikhbâr al-Mu??afâ, karya Majd al-Dîn Abî al-Barakât `Abd al-Salâm Ibn Taymîyah al-?arrâni dan sisi lain tentang perbedaan pemahaman hadis dari penulis dengan madhhab ?anbalî yang diikuti. Metode yang digunakan dalam artikel ini adalah penelitian kepustakaan (library research) dengan teknik analisis konten (content analysis), sedang-kan sumber data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini terbagi menjadi dua yaitu sumber data primer yang diambil dari kitab karya Majd al-Dîn al-?arrâni serta sumber sekunder dari kitab-kitab lain yang berkaitan. Hasil penelitian ini didapatkan tentang adanya pemi-kiran ?anabilah Majd al-Dîn al-?arranî dalam kitab al-Muntaqâ yang mengangkat dua faktor. Pertama, kitab al-Muntaqâ Min Ikhbâr al-Mu??afâ lebih banyaknya jumlah hadis A?mad Ibn ?anbal, baik yang diriwayatkan secara individu ataupun kelompok. Kedua, hadis tentang “bacaan makmum dan diamnya ketika mendengarkan bacaan imam” memiliki pandangan yang sedikit berbeda dengan madhhab ?anbalî yang ia anut, perbedaan itu sangat sedikit yang dijelaskan oleh Majd al-Dîn al-?arranî. Abstract

The purpose of this research is to explain and analyze the foundation of Islamic Education Management. This research is important to do, because the development of Islamic Religious Education cannot be separated from the contribution of management in an organization of Islamic Education Institutions. Management in an Islamic Education Institution organization certainly has a foundation, so that the management of Islamic Education institutions will run well. The method used in this research is library research. Which means the researcher collected various literatures in the form of books, journals and research results that have been done before and are relevant to this research. The results of this study explain that there are four foundations in Islamic Education Management. These include theological foundation, rational foundation, empirical foundation and theoretical foundation.
