Abstract

The purpose of this research is to explain and analyze the foundation of Islamic Education Management. This research is important to do, because the development of Islamic Religious Education cannot be separated from the contribution of management in an organization of Islamic Education Institutions. Management in an Islamic Education Institution organization certainly has a foundation, so that the management of Islamic Education institutions will run well. The method used in this research is library research. Which means the researcher collected various literatures in the form of books, journals and research results that have been done before and are relevant to this research. The results of this study explain that there are four foundations in Islamic Education Management. These include theological foundation, rational foundation, empirical foundation and theoretical foundation.

Abstract

Krisis identitas, kemiskinan spiritual, dan degradasi moral menjadi tantangan serius bagi remaja Muslim di era digital, yang belum sepenuhnya terjawab oleh sistem pendidikan formal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pemikiran Mohammad Iqbal tentang khudi sebagai strategi pembentukan karakter spiritual-emansipatoris bagi remaja Muslim. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif-deskriptif dalam studi kepustakaan, data dikumpulkan dari 25 literatur primer dan sekunder, dan dianalisis melalui content analysis serta pendekatan hermeneutika filosofis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa khudi mencakup lima nilai utama: kesadaran Ilahiyah, kebebasan dan tanggung jawab, kemandirian spiritual, dinamika moral dan ijtihad, serta etika sosial. Konsep ini membentuk pribadi yang transformatif dan berintegritas spiritual. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa khudi relevan sebagai pendekatan pedagogis alternatif dalam merespons krisis karakter generasi muda, melampaui pendekatan normatif yang cenderung formalistik. Integrasi nilai-nilai khudi ke dalam kurikulum pendidikan Islam dapat menjadi strategi efektif dalam membentuk remaja yang sadar diri, tangguh secara spiritual, dan bertanggung jawab secara sosial

Abstract

Moderation in Islam is a religion that is Rahmatan lil 'alamin, not like the ideology of extremists who tend to prioritize a hard stance without compromise, or the ideology of liberal groups who often interpret religious teachings very loosely, freely, and even almost out of line with religious truth. This article aims to implement and develop the PAI learning model so that students behave moderately in Islam, both in faith, worship, and muamalah. So that it will produce a complete understanding of true religious moderation. The result of this article is to formulate an effective PAI learning model to be applied to students to optimize the values ​​of moderation so that they do not behave extreme in religion, both in terms of faith, worship, and socializing with others as exemplified by our prophet Muhammad sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan implementasi pembelajaran kitab Hujjah Ahlusunnah wal Jamaah di madrasah, serta mengkaji metode, pendekatan, dan tantangan yang dihadapi dalam proses pembelajarannya. Kitab ini memiliki peran penting dalam memperkuat pemahaman akidah Ahlusunnah wal Jamaah di kalangan peserta didik, khususnya dalam konteks pendidikan keagamaan Islam. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi di salah satu madrasah yang menerapkan pembelajaran kitab tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi pembelajaran dilakukan melalui pendekatan tradisional dengan metode sorogan dan bandongan, namun disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan dan tingkat pemahaman peserta didik. Tantangan utama yang dihadapi adalah keterbatasan waktu pembelajaran, kemampuan membaca kitab kuning, serta kurangnya tenaga pengajar yang kompeten dalam mengajarkan kitab klasik. Meskipun demikian, pembelajaran kitab Hujjah Ahlusunnah wal Jamaah terbukti mampu membentuk karakter moderat dan pemahaman keagamaan yang toleran di kalangan siswa. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan adanya pelatihan bagi guru serta pengembangan media pembelajaran yang relevan untuk mendukung efektivitas pembelajaran kitab klasik di madrasah.

Abstract

Indonesia is a pluralistic nation with a diverse population in terms of religion, ethnicity, and culture. Amidst this diversity, religious tolerance plays a crucial role in maintaining social harmony. This study aims to explore the role of community-based Islamic education in fostering interfaith tolerance within the multireligious environment of Jalan Jepara RW 01, Surabaya. Using a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings indicate that TPQ students demonstrate empathetic attitudes toward differences, which are reflected in their inclusive social interactions—such as not discriminating against peers based on religion and actively participating in interfaith social activities. The Islamic education provided not only focuses on religious cognitive aspects but also instills values of tolerance, appreciation for diversity, and a spirit of peaceful coexistence. This study contributes to the body of literature on Islamic education and pluralism by emphasizing the role of informal institutions such as TPQ as key agents in shaping tolerant character within diverse societies. Strengthening non-formal education in local contexts can be an effective strategy for enhancing social cohesion and reducing the potential for religion-based conflicts.

Abstract

slamic education plays a crucial role in instilling religious and moral values amidst the challenges of globalization and the industrial era 4.0. Islamic boarding schools (pondok pesantren), as traditional Islamic educational institutions, hold a strategic position in shaping students' character through a moderate Islamic approach that emphasizes tolerance, inclusiveness, and rejection of radicalism. This study aims to examine the strategies implemented by Islamic boarding schools in strengthening moderate Islamic education in Lorejo Village, Bakung Subdistrict. The focus includes planning, implementation, and evaluation of these strategies. The findings indicate that the boarding schools positively influence the community’s religious behavior and foster an educational environment that promotes wasathiyah (moderate) values. However, challenges such as limited resources and conservative local culture must be addressed through adaptive and collaborative strategies

Abstract

This study aims to describe the forms, processes, and roles of institutions and religious leaders in the transformation of Islamic education among the Samin community in Blora, Central Java. The Samin community is known as a traditional group that upholds honesty, simplicity, and peaceful coexistence. The research employs a qualitative ethnographic approach, using in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation. Findings show that the transformation of Islamic education within the Samin society occurs gradually and through acculturation. The process begins with socio-cultural engagement by religious figures and continues with the introduction of Islamic values that align with the Samin way of life. Over time, the community has accepted both formal and non-formal Islamic education, such as TPQ and elementary school, and has actively participated in religious activities. This transformation is not only individual but also structural, as respected community leaders become bridges between local culture and Islamic teachings. These findings highlight the importance of a humanistic, dialogical, and culturally sensitive approach in implementing Islamic educational transformation within indigenous communities.

Abstract

Pengembangan kelembagaan pendidikan Islam merupakan agenda strategis dalam merespons tantangan pendidikan Islam kontemporer, seperti menguatnya polarisasi identitas, lemahnya tata kelola institusi, serta kebutuhan akan model pendidikan yang inklusif dan berorientasi pada kemaslahatan sosial. Artikel ini bertujuan menganalisis pemikiran Ahmad Dahlan tentang pengembangan kelembagaan pendidikan Islam serta relevansinya bagi penguatan pendidikan Islam moderat. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi pustaka terhadap karya-karya Ahmad Dahlan dan berbagai kajian ilmiah yang membahas pemikiran serta praktik pendidikan Muhammadiyah. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Ahmad Dahlan merumuskan model kelembagaan pendidikan Islam yang menekankan integrasi ilmu pengetahuan, pembaruan sistem manajemen kelembagaan, dan orientasi aksi sosial sebagai ruh pendidikan. Model ini menempatkan lembaga pendidikan Islam tidak hanya sebagai pusat transmisi ilmu keagamaan, tetapi juga sebagai agen transformasi sosial yang menumbuhkan sikap keberagamaan yang rasional, toleran, dan bertanggung jawab secara sosial. Dengan demikian, pemikiran Ahmad Dahlan memberikan landasan strategis bagi pengembangan kelembagaan pendidikan Islam yang moderat, adaptif, dan relevan dengan tuntutan zaman.

Abstract

This study aims to explore and analyze the concept of civilized human beings (insan adabi) in the Islamic educational thought of Syed Muhammad Naquib al-Attas as a philosophical-pedagogical foundation for formulating an alternative paradigm for contemporary Islamic education. The study uses a qualitative approach with a library research design, examining al-Attas's primary works such as Islam and Secularism (1993), The Concept of Education in Islam (1980), and Prolegomena to the Metaphysics of Islam (1995). Data were analyzed using a descriptive-analytical method through three stages: description of al-Attas's concept of human, analysis of epistemological-ontological-axiological foundations, and interpretation of contemporary relevance. The results of the study show that al-Attas' concept of human beings emphasizes the formation of an adabi human being who has a multi-dimensional existential structure (intellectual, spiritual, moral) that is developed integrally through the process of ta'dib instilling adab, developing reason, and forming morals. Adab is defined as the recognition and acknowledgment of the proper place for everything in the hierarchical order of being (maratib al-wujud). The study concludes that al-Attas' concept of human beings offers a holistic and integrative paradigm of Islamic education, capable of responding to the crisis of modern education (secularization, fragmentation, dehumanization) by producing a generation of Muslims who have strong faith, broad knowledge, and noble morals to answer contemporary challenges without losing their Islamic identity.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji dan mengembangkan konsep pendidikan jiwa menurut Ibn Sina serta menganalisis relevansinya terhadap pendidikan Islam kontemporer. Pendidikan modern cenderung menitikberatkan pada aspek kognitif dan teknis, sementara aspek moral dan spiritual sering terabaikan, sehingga memicu krisis etika dan karakter. Ibn Sina menawarkan kerangka pendidikan holistik yang mengintegrasikan perkembangan intelektual, moral, dan spiritual. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kepustakaan (library research), dengan menganalisis sumber primer berupa karya-karya Ibn Sina serta sumber sekunder seperti buku dan jurnal ilmiah yang berkaitan dengan pendidikan Islam. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui teknik dokumentasi dan dianalisis menggunakan metode deskriptif-analitis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Ibn Sina memandang jiwa sebagai substansi immaterial yang memiliki tingkatan hierarkis, yaitu jiwa nabati, jiwa hewani, dan jiwa rasional, yang menjadi dasar bagi sistem pendidikan yang disesuaikan dengan tahapan perkembangan manusia. Tujuan utama pendidikan jiwa adalah mencapai kesempurnaan manusia (insan kamil) melalui pengembangan akal, pembentukan akhlak, dan pendalaman spiritualitas. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa pemikiran pendidikan Ibn Sina tetap sangat relevan bagi pendidikan Islam kontemporer, khususnya dalam menjawab krisis moral dan mengintegrasikan kembali nilai-nilai etika dan spiritual dalam sistem pendidikan modern.
