Abstract

Background: Mobile technology serves as a strategic element that enhances consumer experience and strengthens interactions between consumers and service providers. Prior studies indicate that such technology facilitates user customization, simplifies information retrieval, and streamlines customer-company interactions. A thorough understanding of user intention toward the PLN Mobile application is critical for reinforcing customer relationships, boosting loyalty and satisfaction, and generating revenue growth through value-added services.Purpose: This study aims to examine the influence of perceived usefulness and technology acceptance on the intention to use the PLN Mobile application. Additionally, the study also investigates the mediating role of attitude toward use and the moderating role of subjective norm in influencing the intention to use the PLN Mobile application.Design/methodology/approach: This study employs a quantitative survey-based design with a sample of 260 employees customers of PLN UP3 Padangsidempuan. A purposive sampling approach was adopted for participant selection. The data collection was conducted in 2024. The data were analyzed using structural equation modeling with partial least squares (SEM PLS)Findings/Results: The results of the study demonstrate that both perceived usefulness and technology acceptance have a positive and significant impact on the intention to utilize the PLN Mobile application. Additionally, the study reveals that attitude toward use acts as a mediator in the relationship between perceived usefulness, technology acceptance, and intention to use. Moreover, the effect of perceived usefulness and technology acceptance on the intention to use the PLN Mobile application was moderated by subjective norm. The mediating role of attitude toward use underscores the necessity for extending the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) by incorporating psychological variables to achieve a more holistic understanding of user intention. Furthermore, the moderating effect of subjective norm highlights the critical influence of social factors in technology usage.Conclusion: Technology acceptance and perceived usefulness significantly influence the intention to use the PLN Mobile application. Positive attitudes toward the application, formed by perceived usefulness and technology acceptance, further enhance the intention to use. Additionally, subjective norm play a crucial role in motivating individuals to use the application.Originality/value (State of the art): This study examines the role of technology acceptance as a single construct and integrates the TPB and TAM models to provide a theoretical framework. Abstract

Pengoperasian pukat cincin oleh nelayan di Pangkalan Pendaratan Ikan (PPI) Pontap menimbulkan persaingan yang sangat tinggi dalam kegiatan penangkapan ikan. Persaingan ini tentunya dapat memunculkan kekhawatiran terjadinya penangkapan ikan berlebihan (overfishing) tanpa memperhatikan kelayakan ukuran ikan hasil tangkapan. Oleh karena itu, tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui komposisi dan kesesuaian ukuran ikan hasil tangkapan kapal pukat cincin di PPI Pontap. Penelitian dilaksanakan di PPI Pontap dari tanggal 13 Agustus – 12 Oktober 2024. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu observasional dan analisis datanya secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan komposisi hasil tangkapan pukat cincin di PPI Pontap ada 6 jenis ikan yaitu kembung perempuan 9.252 kg (25,47%), kembung lelaki 2.034 kg (5,60%), tembang 3.060 kg (8,42%), layang 19.980 kg (55%), cakalang 1.080 (2,97%) dan selar tetengkek 920 kg (2,53%). Berdasarkan ukuran panjang tubuh ikan pertama kali matang gonad, maka ikan kembung lelaki, ikan kembung perempuan dan ikan layang layak tangkap sedangkan ikan cakalang, ikan selar tetengkek dan ikan tembang tidak layak tangkap.The operation of purse seine by fishermen at the Pontap Fish Landing Base creates very high competition in fishing activities. This competition can certainly raise concerns about overfishing without considering the appropriateness of the size of the fish caught. Therefore, this study aimed to determine the composition and suitability of the size of the fish caught on purse-seine vessels at the Pontap Fish Landing Base. The study was conducted at the Pontap Fish Landing Base from August 13 to October 12, 2024. The research method used was observational, and the data analysis was descriptive. The results of the study showed that the composition of the purse seine catch at the Pontap Fish Landing Base consisted of 6 species of fish, namely shortbodied mackerel 9,252 kg (25.47%), indian mackerel 2,034 kg (5.60%), sardine 3,060 kg (8.42%), mackerel scad 19,980 kg (55%), skipjack tuna 1,080 (2.97%) and torpedo scad 920 kg (2.53%). Based on the length of the fish’s body when the gonads first mature, shortbodied mackerel, indian mackerel, and mackerel scad are suitable for catching. In contrast, skipjack tuna, sardine, and torpedo scad are not suitable for catching.
