Abstract

The emergence of industry 4.0 and the dynamic changes in the market have urged organizations to be more agile. An organization demands that its employees have a high adaptive performance to be agile. Existing research on individual adaptive performance, however, emerges from various contexts, including the context of an employee’s develop-ment process and organizational capabilities. Thus, a systematic literature study to identify the topics addressed in the existing studies and the research gap as the foundation for future research direction is scarce and needed. This study analyzes fifty-nine highly relevant papers based on the topics and research approaches/methods. From the analysis, it is found that learning and training strategies are the topics that are less investigated; therefore, such issues are suggested to be conducted in future studies to fill the knowledge gap. Moreover, it is also proposed in this paper a conceptual model that is built based on learning and training strategies. The model can be used to enhance our understanding of the mechanism of individual adaptive performance. Regarding the research approach, it is found in this study that much of the existing research employed a quantitative research approach. Therefore, it is suggested that future research use other research approaches, including a mixed-method approach. Such an ap-proach is argued powerfully in delivering the result of a study that is both thorough and broad in addressing the top-ic of the mechanism of individual adaptive performance.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This research explores the ethical implications of AI-driven video interview technologies in recruitment, focusing on transparency, bias, inclusivity, and equity. Using thematic analysis of qualitative data from interviews with candidates and recruiters, the study identifies key ethical concerns and examines them through thear lenses of Jeremy Bentham’s utilitarian ethics and UNESCO’s Ethical AI Principles. Findings highlight significant challenges, including the lack of transparency in AI evaluation criteria, systemic biases disadvantaging underrepresented groups, and the impersonal nature of AI interactions. Additionally, governance gaps, such as risks of data misuse and accountability issues, underscore the need for robust safeguards. The study proposes a comprehensive business solution to address these challenges. Recommendations include enhancing transparency through clear communication and feedback mechanisms, mitigating biases with diverse training datasets and regular audits, and adopting hybrid recruitment models that balance AI efficiency with human empathy. Customizing AI systems to accommodate diverse candidate profiles and implementing governance frameworks, such as GDPR, further ensure ethical compliance and inclusivity. By aligning these solutions with utilitarian ethics, which emphasize maximizing societal benefits and minimizing harm, and UNESCO’s principles of accountability, inclusivity, and human agency, this research offers a roadmap for ethical AI deployment in recruitment. It concludes that a balanced approach integrating technical advancements and human oversight is essential for creating recruitment processes that are fair, transparent, and inclusive, ultimately fostering trust and enhancing the candidate experience.

Abstract

Customer service is crucial in the banking industry, directly impacting customer satisfaction, trust, and overall business performance. However, many financial institutions face challenges in managing knowledge effectively, leading to inconsistent service quality, operational inefficiencies, and regulatory compliance risks. This study examines the role of Knowledge Management (KM) in enhancing customer service performance, with a specific focus on the People, Process, and Technology (PPT) framework and the SECI Model (Socialization, Externalization, Combination, and Internalization). Through a systematic literature review (SLR), this study synthesizes insights from academic research on KM implementation in banking customer service, identifying key benefits, challenges, and best practices. The findings reveal that effective KM adoption significantly improves service accuracy, reduces response times, and enhances customer engagement by ensuring service representatives have instant access to structured knowledge repositories. Furthermore, KM facilitates regulatory compliance and data security by providing automated updates on financial policies, fraud prevention measures, and data protection standards. However, barriers such as employee resistance, fragmented knowledge systems, and outdated IT infrastructure hinder the implementation of KM frameworks in banking institutions. To address these challenges, this study recommends integrating AI-driven KM platforms, standardizing knowledge-sharing practices across branches, and fostering a knowledge-sharing culture through training and incentives. Banks can leverage structured KM frameworks to enhance operational efficiency, build long-term customer loyalty, and strengthen their position in an increasingly digitalized financial landscape. Future research should explore the role of AI and emerging technologies in optimizing KM practices for customer service excellence.

Abstract

This research investigates both the opportunities and limitations of online learning as a means to broaden access to business education in developing countries. Although online platforms are often viewed as scalable tools for expanding educational reach, numerous structural and pedagogical challenges continue to hinder their overall effectiveness. Using a systematic literature review, this study compiles insights from recent academic publications and organizes them within a conceptual framework based on input-process-impact logic. It draws upon the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT), various learning theories, and Bloom’s Taxonomy to assess how online learning is adopted, how learning unfolds, and what outcomes it produces. Major obstacles include inadequate digital infrastructure, lack of tailored teaching approaches, low student engagement, and concerns about long-term financial viability. Nevertheless, the study emphasizes the long-term promise of online learning in promoting educational and digital inclusion, especially when driven by thoughtful design, strong institutional support, and enabling policy. The research offers practical guidance for educators, policymakers, and academic institutions working to build more inclusive and impactful online learning environments within the business education landscape.

Abstract

Despite having many vulnerabilities for being small, around 99.99% of businesses in Indonesia belong to the MSME category. Many companies consider going digital to face vulnerabilities such as limited resources, fierce competition, and environmental changes. Among all the different approaches to Digital Transformation, adopting a digital business ecosystem like an e-commerce platform is more suitable for MSMEs for its source and cost efficiency. However, only around 19% of the total number of MSMEs in Indonesia have adopted a digital business ecosystem by using e-commerce platforms. This study explores the impacts e-commerce platforms brought to various business aspects in MSMEs and whether e-commerce adoption help reinforce MSMEs' business agility to remain competitive in the market. To reach the aim of the study, we used qualitative research by interviewing six small business owners utilizing e-commerce platforms. The findings of this study show that adopting an e-commerce platform has generated changes that positively impact four business aspects: business operation, organization, marketing, and product development. These changes signify an improvement in agility. By gaining this knowledge, we hoped this study could serve as a guide to motivate more MSMEs to venture into the digital realm through e-commerce platforms.

Abstract

Pertamina EP Donggi Matindok Field (PEP DMF) in Regional 4 significantly contributes to production and profit, accounting for 1.95% of total SHU production and 2.46% of net profit by the third quarter of 2023. However, PEP DMF faces challenges with Loss Production Opportunity (LPO), which denotes the gap between potential and actual production, impacting both production performance and revenue. The research aims to tackle the increase in Loss Productivity Opportunity (PPO) by identifying the main problems, analyzing contributing factors, determining root causes, and developing strategies to mitigate LPO, particularly focusing on the 2023 increase. Through a structured approach, the study provides a comprehensive analysis of the issues leading to increased LPO and offers practical business solutions, contributing valuable insights that can be applied to similar industrial challenges. The root causes were pinpointed using the Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Pareto Diagram methods, identifying primary issues as unreliable IGBT components, the absence of certified engineers, and discontinued spare parts for the VSD Booster Compressor. The recommended solution, determined through Kepner-Tregoe Decision Analysis, is to replace a new brand that has domestic engineers and its spare parts are still being produced.
