Abstract

Abstract: Based on an initial survey, Puskesmas Dolok Masihul is one of the health centers located in the Serdang Bedagai region that actively implements the Elderly Posyandu program. data through the Dolok Masihul health center profile data, the elderly age in the dolok masihul health center work area is 3,378 people. However, the number who utilize the elderly Posyandu is only 40%. The purpose of the study was to determine the factors with the utilization of the elderly posyandu. The research design used in this study was cross sectional. The research was conducted in the working area of the Dolok Masihul Health Center. The research was conducted in July 2023. The population is all elderly people aged more than 60 years who live in the Dolok Masihul Health Center working area which amounts to 300 people. The sample amounted to 73 people. The sampling technique used in this study was incidental sampling. The research instrument used a research questionnaire. Data analysis was done univariate and bivariate. The results showed that there was a relationship between family support (p value: 0.014) and distance to health care facilities (p value: 0.000) on the utilization of elderly posyandu. It is recommended for the Puskesmas to include the role of the elderly family in supporting the utilization of the elderly posyandu. Provide an understanding to family members how important it is to assist the elderly during posyandu, and a sense of ownership to the elderly that the posyandu actually belongs to the community so that there is awareness of the elderly to utilize the posyandu.Keywords: Family Support, Elderly, Posyandu.

Abstract

Abstract: Dengue fever (DHF) is an infectious disease caused by the dengue virus and transmitted through the bites of Aedes aegypti and Aedes albopictus mosquitoes. Based on a preliminary survey conducted at the Air Salobar Ambon Health Center in 2022, the number of patients with Dengue Fever (DHF) for the last three years showed a significant increase. The purpose of the study was to determine the factors associated with the incidence of dengue hemorrhagic fever. The research design used in this study was cross sectional. The research was conducted in December 2023 at the Air Salobar Health Center.  The population is the head of the household in the working area of the Air Salobar Health Center, namely the head of the household. The sample amounted to 62 people selected using simple random sampling. The research instrument used a research questionnaire. Data analysis was carried out univariate and bivariate. The results showed there was a relationship between knowledge (p value: 0.035) and breeding place (p value: 0.030) with the incidence of DHF. It is recommended that the Puskesmas can make a policy related to the supervision of dengue prevention practices and for the community to pay more attention to 3M Plus activities and the implementation of PSN-DBD independently and regularly according to standards in order to reduce the presence of mosquito larvae.Keywords: Breeding Place, Dengue Fever, Knowledge.

Abstract

SMP Benteng Betawi merupakan sekolah yang berada di wilayah Poris Plawad, dimana sekolah tersebut belum ada petugas khusus baik karyawan maupun siswa yang memantau jentik nyamuk guna mencegah penularan DBD sehingga perlu mendapatkan pendidikan kesehatan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan pemahaman siswa sehingga bersedia melakukan pencegahan dengan memantau jentik aedes aegipty di sekolah dan bisa dilakukan di rumah tempat tinggal siswa. Solusi yang dilaksanakan dalam pengabdian masyarakat ini meliputi edukasi, pelatihan dan pendampingan tentang DBD (penyebab, penularan, pencegahan, pengendalian) dan pemantauan jentik nyamuk aedes aegipty, pendampingan, pelatihan praktik memantau jentik nyamuk aedes aegipty di tempat penampungan air yang ada di sekolah sasaran, membetuk siswa pemantau jentik (wamantik) nyamuk aedes aegipty, dan memberikan bantuan alat berupa senter untuk memantau jentik nyamuk aedes aegipty. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat Program Kemitraan Masyarakat (PKM) berupa edukasi, pelatihan dan pendampingan Pembina UKS, Pembina dan pengurus OSIS yang dilaksanakan selama 6 bulan mulai bulan Mei 2023 s.d Oktober 2023. Sasaran mitra yang terlibat dalam pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah penanggung jawab program pemantau jentik Puskesmas Poris Plawad, Kepala Sekolah, pembina UKS, pembina OSIS, dan pengurus OSIS. Luaran yang dari pengabdian masyarakat ini berupa tersedianya buku saku panduan memantau jentik nyamuk aedes aegipty dan artikel publikasi pengabdian masyarakat, terbentuk kader pemantau jentik nyamuk aedes aegipty, tersedia alat dan format pemantau jentik nyamuk aedes aegipty dengan target capaian berupa tersedia artikel tentang pendampingan petugas UKS dalam memantau jentik nyamuk Aedes aegipty, terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan dan ketrampilan petugas UKS dalam memantau jentik nyamuk Aedes aegipty, terbentuk kader sekolah pemantau jentik nyamuk aedes aegipty, dan tersedia alat pemantau jentik nyamuk aedes aegipty
