Abstract

This study investigates the pivotal role of cultural sensitivity and enhanced communication skills, developed through English education, in preparing management students for successful cross-cultural interactions. Thirty students, faculty members, and industry professionals participated in this qualitative research. Students were enrolled at STIE Port Numbay Jayapura. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and focus group discussions, followed by thematic content analysis. Management students reported elevated cultural awareness and enhanced English communication skills. They felt well-prepared for cross-cultural interactions, emphasizing the role of English proficiency. Faculty members recognized the need for curriculum enhancement and tailoring instruction to nurture English competence. Industry professionals acknowledged graduates' English competence but stressed the importance of practical application. Cultural sensitivity and English language proficiency are crucial for management students in a globalized world. Curriculum enhancement and practical application are essential. Future research can explore these themes in diverse contexts.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui seberapa besar tingkat likuiditas dan profitabilitas perkembangan rasio yang di hasilkan oleh PT. Baliem Maju Mandiri Kabupaten Jayawijaya Di Wamena. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan analisis kuantitatif yaitu mengklasifikasi kemudian menghitung, membandingkan dan menganalisa data yang ada menggunakan analisis rasio Likuiditas dan Profitabilitas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 1) Berdasarkan analisis kinerja keuangan PT. Baliem Maju Mandiri dari rasio likuiditas dimana Cash Ratio mengalami penurunan, sedangkan Current Ratio dan Quick Ratio mengalami fluktuasi, terjadinya penurunan dan fluktuasi disebabkan karena adanya kenaikan aktiva lancar yang disertai dengan kenaikan pada hutang lancar namun perusahaan mampu untuk membayar kewajiban-kewajiban jangka pendek dan untuk hasil rasio profitabilitas dapat dikatakan baik karena mampu menghasilkan laba meskipun Profit margin Return On Asset, dan Return On Equity mengalami fluktuasi. 2)Perkembangan rasio likuiditas dan profitabilitas pada tahun 2016 sampai dengan tahun 2017 diantaranya yaitu rasio likuiditas dimana Cash Ratio, dan Quick Ratio mengalami perununan ditiap tahunnya sedangkan Current Ratio terjadi peningkatan hanya pada tahun 2016 dan mengalami penurunan kembali di tahun 2017. Sedangkan untuk ratio profitabilitas dimana Profit Margin, Return On Asset dan Return On Equity mengalami penurunan di tahun 2016 dan terjadi peningkatan di tahun 2017. Meskipun hasil perkembangan rasio likuiditas dan profitabilitas belum begitu efisien namun PT. Baliem Maju Mandiri mampu memenuhi kewajiban keuangannya baik kewajiban keuangan jangka pendek maupun jangka panjang dan mampu menghasilkan laba.3) Perbandingan standar industri dari hasil rasio likuiditas dan profitabilitas PT. Baliem Maju Mandiri meskipun mampu memenuhi kewajiban jangka pendeknya dan menghasilkan laba dimana pada current ratio belum memenuhi standar industri sedangkan quick ratio dan cash ratio sudah memenuhi standar indutri. Untuk Net Profit Margin , Return On Asset, dan Return On Equity belum memenuhi standar industri.

Abstract

 This study investigates the impact of integrating Mobile-Assisted Language Learning (MALL) applications with peer tutoring on student engagement, motivation, and learning outcomes in English language Teaching and learning. Utilizing a mixed-methods approach, the research involved pre- and post-intervention surveys, semi-structured interviews, and systematic observations. Quantitative data revealed significant improvements in students' engagement and motivation, with average scores increasing from 2.0 to 3.9 post-intervention. The standard deviation for engagement decreased from 0.7 to 0.5, indicating more consistent student responses. The qualitative analysis provided deeper insights, highlighting that students found MALL applications like Quizlet and YouTube particularly engaging and effective for learning. The thematic analysis of interviews underscored the benefits of peer tutoring in fostering a supportive learning environment, enhancing both collaborative and individual learning experiences. Excerpts from student interviews revealed increased interest and motivation, with students appreciating the flexibility and interactivity of the applications. These findings align with Vygotsky's theory of social constructivism, emphasizing the role of social interaction in learning. The study concludes that the integration of MALL with peer tutoring not only improves student engagement and motivation but also contributes to better language learning outcomes. This has important implications for educational practices and policies, suggesting that incorporating technology and collaborative learning strategies can enhance language education. Future research should explore long-term effects and scalability of such interventions.
