Abstract

Emotional development in early childhood plays a vital role in forming the basis of psychological well-being. Father involvement is one of the main factors in the family to manage children emotions. This study aims to determine the central role of fathers in managing early childhood emotions. The research method used in the study was a qualitative case study design. The research subjects involved four fathers who have early childhood. Data was collected through interviews and observation. The results show that the father's involvement is not only limited to the physical aspect but also has a solid contribution to the emotional aspect of the child. It can be concluded that emotional management in early childhood requires holistic attention from fathers. The four fathers had different views and strategies. Some values often emerged as the main focus, including open communication, empathy, combining skills with emotional gentleness, and providing emotional support. The implications can serve as a foundation for fathers' parenting in early childhood and can be enriched to include understanding and emphasizing fathers' involvement in early childhood emotional development. It can guide ECE educators to integrate fathers in learning activities, opening insights on strategies for managing early childhood emotions and the values fathers apply in managing children's emotions.

Abstract

This study aims to develop innovative media in the form of picture books as a tool to teach religious moderation values such as tolerance and respect for differences to PAUD students in Purwakarta Regency. By using the Research and Development method based on the ADDIE model (Analyze Design Develop Implement Evaluate). this research is designed to produce educational media that is interesting, interactive, and effective. The initial stage of the research involved a needs analysis through interviews and observations with early childhood educators, which revealed the need for media capable of introducing the concepts of tolerance, respect for differences, and national values from an early age. The design and development process resulted in a picture book with vivid illustrations and stories relevant to children's daily lives, making it easy to understand and interesting. This media was tested in several early childhood education institutions in Purwakarta involving teachers and children as research subjects. The evaluation results showed that the picture storybooks improved children's understanding of the values of religious moderation. The results showed an average of the pre-test score of 22.08 then the Post-Test score reached 53.24, with an average increase of 31.16 with the calculation results showing the t value of -44.56, it can be concluded that the use of picture book media is effective in increasing religious moderation in children aged 5-6 years. With these findings, the developed media can serve as a strategic educational media.

Abstract

In essence, parenting is the interaction of parents and children, parents encourage children by changing behavior, knowledge, and values ​​that are considered most appropriate for children. The learning process is an active process because knowledge is formed from learning objects. The purpose of this study is to determine the characteristics of parenting styles, children's learning processes and to analyze whether there is a significant relationship between parenting styles and children's learning processes in KB Az-Zahra. This study uses a quantitative descriptive correlation approach, which is a research method that looks at the form of the relationship between variables. The sample in this study amounted to 28. The types of data taken were grouped into two categories, namely primary data and secondary data. Data collection techniques using respondent questionnaires, observation sheets, and documentation. The results of the research from the data that have been analyzed can be concluded that the average parenting pattern of 58.40% is categorized as quite good, while the results of the average learning process are 75.27% categorized as good. The relationship between parenting patterns and the learning process of this child has a correlation value of 0.618 with a correlation percentage of 38.2% and is categorized as a relationship between parenting styles and the learning process. So that parenting patterns have a real relationship to the learning process of children aged 5-6 years.

Abstract

Teachers as educators must try to create motivation in children by growing and developing children's interest in learning a field of study to be taught. Based on observations made by researchers in early childhood in the 5-6 year age group, students of RA Ilyasa Nurul Qomar often experience problems in their learning. Most students find it difficult to pay attention to the teacher during learning, and students of RA Ilyasa Nurul Qomar tend to prefer active learning that can move all the five sensory functions of students. Author will conduct research related to increasing students learning motivation through ice breaking. This ice breaking activities carried out by this ice breaking are varied, so that students will feel happy while learning. Based on the calculation of the paired sample t test and the independent sample test, the value of sig (2 tailed) = 0.00 ≤ 0.05, then H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. Based on the calculations and the basis for making decisions from the two hypothesis tests, it was concluded that there was a significant effect of ice breaking on the learning motivation of children aged 5-6 years at RA Ilyasa Nurul Qomar.

Abstract

Basic literacy and numeracy skills are an important investment in a child's future. Efforts to develop these abilities from an early age will provide long-term benefits for children's cognitive, social and academic development. This community service aims to improve basic literacy and numeracy skills in early childhood at SPS Melati II, Margasari Village, Pasawahan District through market day activities. This activity is a learning innovation that actively involves children as sellers and buyers, and uses menu books as a medium for offering products. This research used the Participant Action Research (PAR) method with research subjects of 21 early childhood who participated in this activity, as well as teachers and parents who were involved in market day activities. Observation results show that market days are effective in improving children's literacy and numeracy skills, such as the ability to read food names, calculate the amount of groceries, and interact with peers. This activity also provides a fun and meaningful learning experience for early childhood
