Abstract

The focus of this research is how the Fiqh of funeral arrangements can be a way to increase the knowledge of the inmates of class IIA Tembilahan prison. This is intended so that the inmates have sufficient provision of religious knowledge, and it will be useful when they are free and mingle with the society to which they are returned. This research is an Islamic law research with an interdisciplinary study of Fiqh. This research uses a large study of sharia science and sciences related to Islamic guidance, especially the practice of worship and other social sciences from a societal perspective. The findings from this study are that the enthusiasm and seriousness of the participants in listening to explanations about the Fiqh of organizing a funeral needs to be appreciated. For the participants, not much knowledge about the Fiqh of organizing the funeral was conveyed by the instructors, so that practice and theory were not always well understood. So with this activity, that opinion changed and the understanding of the Fiqh of organizing the funeral became one of the ways to increase the religious knowledge of the inmates of the prison. As a follow-up, it is necessary to have complete media so that the activity process can be maximized bearing in mind that the participants are seen as relatively large.

Abstract

Reading and applying the contents of the verses of the Qur'an is a noble deed, especially if someone wants to memorize the Qur'an, understand and practice the Qur'an in all aspects of daily life. In this Qur'an recitation selection, there is indeed an arena for competing skills, but there are also other things to spread da'wah. Which is useful for motivating and creating a strong desire to follow the activity. This service is carried out for the Qur'an recitation selection at the Tembilahan sub-district level, Indragiri Hilir Regency. The service method uses the Participatory Action Learning System (PALS) method, which is a method that emphasizes the activeness and participation of partners in the Qur'an recitation selection activities in the form of a panel of judges, MC, and mentors for each competition. The results of the service show that there is motivation and practice of coordinating with fellow partners. This can be seen from the increase in mastery of the ability to read the Qur'an.Thus, we want to play an active role in supporting them to remain enthusiastic in broadcasting the Qur'an and studying it by holding a selection of Qur'an recitation assistance which is expected to spur their motivation in studying and memorizing the Qur'an.
