Abstract

The study aims to describe (1). The role of parents fostering interest in reading elementary school age children through television programs. (2). The positive impact of the TV program "Tau Gak Sih" on the development of reading interest in elementary school age children. The research is objecting to a comprehensive detailed study of the main content, the role of parents in assisting watching television programs to foster interest in reading. The scope of the study includes analysis-based analysis activities, focusing on the role of managing elementary school children's interest in reading by assisting learning. Analysis requires realistic critical thinking to apply conceptualization, so that it uses a historical approach characterized by realistic critical inquiry into the development of a thought. Primary information sources are used as primary data. The technique of collecting data utilizes library research, which is reading various kinds of literature. The analysis was conducted descriptively qualitative, sourced from theoretical reading material, research and not research. The validity of the research can be achieved by utilizing content analysis, in order to analyze the meaning, the role of parents, the function of the family in developing interest in reading elementary school-age children through TV programs. Observation is used as an element to support the construction of the theory. The results of the study include; (1) Parents play an important role in providing assistance in fostering elementary school-age children's interest in reading through television programs. (2) The positive impact of the TV program "Tau Gak Sih" on the development of reading interest in elementary school age children is as a medium of learning, expanding knowledge and motivating reading activities

Abstract

The issue of developing reading interest in students is an interesting study to discuss because the reading culture of Indonesian society has an effect on Indonesia's development. Creating the excitement of reading involves the role of all school communities. The assignment of teachers is expected to be a strategy to increase the intensity of visits and reading activities of students. This research uses quantitative decryptive research methods. The scope of this research is about the difference in the level of reading interest of high school students who follow the teacher assignment program with high school students who do not follow the teacher assignment program and the level of reading interest of high school students who follow the teacher assignment program. Data collection techniques carried out by researchers are the dissemination of questionnaires, observations, and literature studies. Data analysis techniques are carried out in a quantitative descriptive way as well as a comparative hypothesis test of two samples that have a correlation. The study used the significance formula in comparative testing between the values before the study and after the study with the T-test formula on a separate sample. Signification test results show that teacher assignment programs can increase reading interest in students.Keywords: interest in reading, school literacy movement, teacher's roleABSTRAKPersoalan menumbuhkembangkan minat baca pada siswa merupakan kajian menarik untuk dibahas. Mewujudkan kegemaran membaca melibatkan peran semua masyarakat sekolah.  Adanya penugasan guru diharapkan menjadi strategi untuk meningkatkan intensitas kunjungan dan kegiatan membaca para siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian dekriptif kuantitatif. Lingkup penelitian ini yaitu mengenai perbedaan tingkat minat baca siswa SMA yang megikuti program penugasan guru dengan siswa SMA yang tidak mengikuti program penugasan guru dan tingkat minat baca siswa SMA yang mengikuti program penugasan guru. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan oleh peneliti yaitu penyebaran kuesioner, observasi, serta studi pustaka. Teknik analisa data dilakukan dengan cara deskriptif kuantitatif serta uji hipotesis komperatif dua sampel yang memiliki korelasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan rumus signifikansi dalam pengujian perbandingan antara nilai sebelum penelitian dan sesudah penelitian dengan rumus T-test pada sampel terpisah. Hasil uji signifikasi menunjukkan bahwa program penugasan guru dapat meningkatkan minat baca pada siswa.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the trends in student thesis research at the Surabaya Ministry of Health Polytechnic from 2020 to 2024. This study employs the bibliometrics method (co-occurrence analysis of co-word calculations). Bibliometric analysis is used to identify the most frequently occurring keywords and analyse their frequency of occurrence to determine the dominant research topics in student theses at Poltekkes Kemenkes Surabaya. Data visualisation was performed using the VOSviewer application to illustrate the relationships between keywords that frequently appeared together in a single study. Based on the results of the VOSviewer software analysis, the research trends of students at the Surabaya Ministry of Health Polytechnic from 2020 to 2024 are as follows: 1) The Health Analyst Department has research trends on Candida Albicans, Staphylococcus Aureus, Haemoglobin, Escherichia Coli and Diabetes Mellitus; 2) The Nutrition Department has research trends on nutritional status; 3) The Midwifery Department has research trends on postpartum care, midwifery care, and knowledge; 4) The Nursing Department has research trends on knowledge, hypertension, nursing care, COVID-19, and the elderly; 5) The Dental Nursing Department has research trends on Knowledge, Dental Caries, Pregnant Women, and Dental and Oral Hygiene; 6) The Environmental Health Department has research trends on Behaviour, Body, and Physical Conditions of Houses; and 7) The Electromedical Technology Department has research trends on BPM, Calibration, Temperature, Arduino, and SPO2.
