Abstract

This research aims to describe the implementation of character education in inclusive schools at SDN Cisarua, Sukabumi City. The aspects observed in the implementation of character education include learning, example, strengthening, and habituation. This is qualitative research with a descriptive qualitative research design. The subjects of this research included school principals, class teachers, and students with special needs (ABK). The data collection techniques used in this research are interviews, observation, and documentation studies. This research data was analyzed using data reduction steps, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Data validity checking technique using triangulation of techniques and sources the results of the research show that the principal’s policy and the role of the class teacher have been instilled in students in their class, especially those with special needs, through learning, example, strengthening, and habituation. In implementing learning, teachers emphasize instilling the character values of tolerance and caring. The teacher does this in learning by instilling concepts through explanations, discussing moral issues, stories, active learning, and collaborative methods. Apart from that, teachers also set examples in attitudes and actions, give awards, provide individual assistance, and familiarize students with mingling with friends with special needs, both in the classroom and outside the classroom.

Abstract

The Mass Circumcision event took place on June 13, 2022, at Tanjung Kidul Village, Paiton District, Probolinggo Regency, located in the East Java Province. The community in the village of Tanjung Kidul actively participates as partners in the circumcision activities. Circumcision, referred to as "circumcision" or "male genital cutting," is a surgical intervention involving the partial or complete removal of the prepuce. This practice is commonly undertaken for grounds pertaining to societal, religious, sanitary, or aesthetic considerations. Furthermore, circumcision has been found to potentially mitigate difficulties linked to specific medical diseases, including phimosis and paraphimosis. In the context of Indonesia, there exists a significant prevalence of independent drug use among the populace. The primary purpose of this intervention is to alleviate ailments, enhance physical stamina, and facilitate the performance of routine tasks. The chemist played a vital role in the provision of pharmaceutical services during the mass circumcision activity, primarily by dispensing medication and offering educational guidance on its proper administration post-circumcision. This endeavor entails a cooperative effort among several occupations, namely nurses and chemists. The primary responsibility of the chemist in this endeavor is to optimize the efficacy of medication administration for those undergoing circumcision. Community service programs were initiated by pharmacists from the Indonesian Association of Pharmacists Branch Management (IAI PC Kab. Probolinggo), academics from Hafshawaty Zainul Hasan STIKes lecturers and students, and nurses from the Indonesian National Nurses Association (PPNI). Indicators utilized for the evaluation of activities encompass the seamless execution of the event, the level of participant attendance, the appropriateness of primary responsibilities and functions, and the collection of activity testimonies. The execution of activities has been conducted in a systematic and organized fashion, facilitated by effective coordination between the committee, village officials, and participants. The successful implementation of the activity is evidenced by the results of a questionnaire, which revealed that 28 participants were highly satisfied, and 4 participants expressed satisfaction.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the Problem Based Learning learning model on the critical thinking skills of fifth grade students of SDN Manangga, South Sumedang District. The method used in this research is pre-experiment using one group pretest-posttest design. The sampling technique in this study was total sampling. The sample in this study were 30 fifth grade students. The data collection techniques used were observation techniques and test techniques. The instruments used were observation sheets for the implementation of the learning model and critical thinking skills test questions. Data analysis techniques in this study are validity test, reliability test, difficulty test, normality test and t test, data analysis in this study was assisted by Microsoft Excel 2019. Based on the processing of the observation sheet for the implementation of the learning model, a percentage of 82% was obtained in the practical category. The t test results obtained a value of 22.58> 1.70 or t count> t table , then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, meaning that there are differences in students' critical thinking skills before and after using the Problem Based Learning learning model assisted by motion audio visual media. This can be seen based on the average posttest result of 75.33 while the average pretest value is 55.00. Based on the average value, the posttest average is greater, meaning that the posttest is better. It can be concluded that there is an effect of the Problem Based Learning learning model assisted by motion audio visual media on students' critical thinking skills in learning science material on natural events in grade V students of SDN Manangga.

Abstract

The research entitled Mentoring Strategy for Learning Community Activities Based on the Sekolah Penggerak Program in Sumedang Regency is motivated by the results of the Learning Community Mentoring workshop at the sekolah penggerak which aims to describe the implementation and profile of the effectiveness of mentoring activities for teachers and school heads in the Sekolah Penggerak Program in Sumedang Regency. The method used is descriptive analytical and evaluative of mentoring activities for learning community activities at school. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that mentoring for learning community activities at school based on the Sekolah Penggerak Program can be implemented well with a maximum level of success. This can be seen from (1) the establishment of a learning community, (2) increased activity in building a learning community, (3) maximum success in building a learning community, (4) the resolution of challenges and obstacles in building a learning community. (5) identification of ways to overcome challenges and obstacles in building a learning community, and (6) Teachers and principals have played an active role in building the quality of the learning community at school.
