This article discusses some of the Sufism concepts, al-walayah, al-khalwah, al-dhikr, al-tafakkur and al-tawakkal according to Al-Tha'alibi, Muslim scholar from Algeria in the 8th and 9th centuries in Tafsi>r Al-Jawa>hir al-H{isa>n fi> Tafsi>r al-Qur'a>n. As a Sufi and 'a>lim fi> al-di>n, Al-Tha'alibi certainly practiced the Sufi life patterns according to what he believed, namely the Sunni Sufi which was different from the Sufi understanding practiced by the majority of the Algerian population at that time which was considered to have come out of many demands Islam. Abstract

This study examines toxic behavior within modern families through Qur’anic interpretation. Integrating classical and contemporary tafsir with real-time social-media evidence offers the first multidisciplinary framework for diagnosing and remedying toxicity in Muslim households—an angle seldom addressed in previous scholarship. Toxic behaviors such as verbal abuse, emotional neglect, one-sided dominance, and psychological manipulation have become increasingly complex in the digital era due to social, economic, and cultural pressures. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed through library research, analyzing Qur’anic verses, tafsir literature, and relevant social media content. Findings show that such behaviors deviate from Quranic values emphasizing justice, compassion, and healthy communication. Scholars like Quraish Shihab and As-Suyuthi highlight mutual consultation, fairness, and spirituality in conflict resolution. Foundational concepts of sakinah, mawaddah, and rahmah emerge as practical guidelines for harmonious, toxicity-free relationships, urging Muslim families to reinvigorate these values.

Abstract

This study aims to utilize the manifestation of Qur'anic values in the Ketoprak Wahyu Budoyo performance in Pati Regency, as well as the role of comedic characters as a medium for transmitting moral and religious messages. The approach used in this study is Living Qur'an with a qualitative descriptive method through observation, interviews, and visual documentation. The results of the study indicate that Qur'anic values such as trustworthiness, sacrifice, honesty, brotherhood, tolerance, and patience are committed through the storyline, character traits, symbols, and local cultural dialogue. Comedic characters play an important role in conveying moral messages through humor, songs, and communicative song lyrics. The novelty of this study lies in the analysis of the integration of Qur'anic values through traditional arts using the Living Qur'an perspective, which is rarely studied in depth. This finding confirms that ketoprak art does not only function as a means of entertainment, but also becomes a space for cultural interpretation in bringing Qur'anic values to life contextually.
