Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the effect of different doses of TOP G2 liquid organic fertilizer on the crude protein (CP), crude fiber (CF), and crude fat (CFat) content of mini elephant grass (Pennisetum purpureum cv. Mott) during the second harvest. A completely randomized design (CRD) with four treatments and four replications (16 experimental units) was applied. The treatments included: M0 (control, no fertilizer), M1 (10 mL TOP G2/L water), M2 (20 mL TOP G2/L water), and M3 (30 mL TOP G2/L water). Proximate analysis (Kjeldahl, Weende, and Soxhlet methods) was used to measure CP, CF, and CFat levels. ANOVA results indicated no significant differences (P>0.05) in CP, CF, or CFat content across treatments. The average values were 12.49% CP, 29.68% CF, and 1.68% CFat. These results suggest that TOP G2 application, up to 30 mL/L, did not significantly alter the nutritional quality of mini elephant grass in the second harvest. Further studies are recommended to explore higher doses or combined fertilization strategies.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to determine using Kirinyuh (Chromolaena odorata) organik mulch thickness on growth Brachiaria hybrid cv. Mulato. The material used in the form of organic mulch for Chromolaena odorata, grass pols, Brachiaria hybrid cv. Mulato. The research used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 4 replications, a total of 16 experimental units. These treatments are: M0: without mulch, M1 thickness : 1 cm, M2 thickness: 3 cm, M3 thickness: 5 cm. The  variables studied were plant height, number of tillers, and number of leaves. Data were analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA) and Duncan's advanced test. The results of analysis of variance (ANOVA) showed that the treatment had a significant effect (P<0.05) on plant height, number of tillers, and number of grass leaves Brachiaria hybrid cv. Mulato. Duncan's test results showed that between treatments M0:M1, M0:M2, M0:M3 significant different (P<0.05) and between treatments M1; M2; M3 not significant different (P>0.05) on plant height, number of tillers and number of leaves Brachiaria hybrid cv. Mulato. The conclusion is that the application of organic mulch Kirinyuh (Chromolaena odorata) affects the growth performance of Mulato grass plants (Brachiaria hybrid cv. Mulato) the best performance was obtained in M2 namely plant height (34.79cm), number of tillers (22.88 tillers) and number of leaves (100.15) strands.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to determine the effect of plant spacing on the in-vitro digestibility of dry matter, organic matter and TDN (Total Digestible Nutrient) Indigofera zollingeriana plants. The method used in this study was an experimental trial method using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of 4 treatments and 6 replicates with treatment arrangement, J1=1.0m×1.25m, J2=1.0m×1.0m, J3=1.0m×0.75m, J4=1.0m×0.5m. Data analysis using Analysis Of Varians (ANOVA). The variables measured were in vitro digestibility of dry matter, organic matter digestibility, and TDN. The variables measured were dry matter in-vitro digestibility, organic matter digestibility, and TDN. The results showed that plant spacing had no significant effect (P>0.05) on dry matter in-vitro digestibility, organic matter digestibility, and TDN for Indigofera zollingeriana. It was concluded that spacing had relatively the same effect on the in vitro digestibility of dry matter, organic matter and TDN of Indigofera zollingeriana plants.
