Abstract

COUNSELING EDUCATION PRACTICES AT ALHAMDANIYAH ISLAMIC BOARDING SCHOOL IN FOSTERING STUDENTS’ RELIGIOUS MORALITY. This paper attempts to offer the idea of counseling education in Islamic boarding schools as a model of counseling services in fostering religious morality. This study uses field research methods with qualitative descriptive analysis techniques. The research data were analyzed using a deductive approach and an inductive approach with regard to the Counseling Education Practices at Islamic Boarding Schools in Fostering Students’ Religious Morality. The results showed that the counseling education of Alhamdaniyah Islamic boarding school had a contribution in establishing religious services illustrated in the activities including implementing Istighosah and Tahlilan and ta'limul muta’alim lessons. This will contribute in fostering the students' religious morality which includes; students have a religious spirit, students do not forget religious values, have a close tie with Kyai as well as among pesantren and schools.Keywords: Counseling Education, Islamic Boarding School, Religious Morality

Abstract

Ide Islamisasi ilmu pengetahuan merupakan sebuah gagasan yang sangat brillian dari para tokoh Pendidikan Islam seperti Ismail Raji Al-Faruqi, Muhammad Abduh, Sayyid Husein Nasr, Syed Muhammad Naquib Al-Attas, dll. Tujuannya adalah sebagai salah satu upaya untuk menyelaraskan ilmu pengetahuan dengan nilai-nilai Islam. Islamisasi ilmu pengetahuan bertujuan untuk memastikan bahwa ilmu pengetahuan digunakan untuk tujuan-tujuan yang baik dan bermanfaat bagi umat manusia. Ide islamisasi ini muncul juga tak lepas dari adanya pengaruh revolusi industri dan munculnya Renessaince di barat pada waktu sehingga dikhawatirkan akan berdampak pada musnahnya ilmu pengetahuan Islam. Pada artikel ini akan dibahas pendapat para tokoh terkait dengan Islamisasi ilmu pengetahuan, konsep Islamisasi menurut Al-Qur’an, Potensi pertentangan ide Islamisasi dengan Al-Qur’an, serta kritik terhadap ide Islamisasi tersebut. Kajian ini adalah kajian ilmiyah dengan menggunakan pendekatan Kualitatif dengan metode Library Research. Bahan kajian dari artikel ini berasal dari buku-buku dan jurnal-jurnal yang berhubungan dengan ide Islamisasi ilmu pengetahuan. Hasilnya kami tuangkan dalam artikel ini dengan menambahkan beberapa buah pikiran hasil telaah dari sumber diatas.

Abstract

The research aims to: describe the implementation of the PAI curriculum in the subject of Aqidah Akhlaq. This research method uses qualitative research. The research data was obtained from the results of recording from Aqidah Akhlaq teachers in implementing the PAI curriculum. The data analysis techniques used are classifying, combining, interpreting, and inferring. The results of the research on the development of the PAI curriculum: 1) Centered on the potential development, needs, and interests of students and their environment, 2) Diverse and integrated, 3) Responsive to the development of science, technology, and art, 4) Relevant to the needs of life, 5) Comprehensive and sustainable, 6) Lifelong learning, 7) Balanced between national interests and regional interests. Implementation at MTs Al Khoziny Buduran Sidoarjo, namely: 1) Holding a Workshop or socializing about making lesson plans, 2) Using package books from the Ministry of Religion and also pesantren books (Yellow Book), and 3) In learning PAI Aqidah Akhlaq on three aspects of cognitive, affective, and psychomotor. This article has a scientific contribution in curriculum development and implementation, especially for the Islamic Religious Education curriculum that is effective for schools in Islamic boarding schools in Indonesia.

Abstract

The issue of education in pesantren has attracted considerable attention. As centers of religious learning, pesantren have produced many experts in the field of religion. This study aims to enhance the learning motivation of seventh-grade second-semester students at MTs Al Khoziny Buduran Sidoarjo through the implementation of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model, which emphasizes critical, analytical, systematic, and logical thinking in problem-solving. This model is expected to foster students’ motivation and scientific attitudes, with the teacher acting as a facilitator to guide students in the problem-solving process. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles, involving 28 students as research subjects. Data on students’ motivation in learning Fiqh were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis. The results showed that in the first cycle, the average student score was 70 (categorized as sufficient), with an absorption rate of 70% and classical completeness of 50%. In the second cycle, the average score increased to 82 (categorized as good), with an absorption rate of 82% and classical completeness of 92%. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the Problem Based Learning model is effective in improving the learning motivation of seventh-grade second-semester students in Fiqh at MTs Al Khoziny Buduran Sidoarjo.
