Abstract

Soil is the basic foundation of a building that stands on it, soil properties such as relatively small soil carrying capacity and so on can cause damage to some of the construction on it. The addition of lime in this research aims to repair damaged soil on the Menden-Sumber Road. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of lime addition on the CBR value. The results of this study indicate that mixing lime in the soil can increase the CBR value. Variations in lime mixing are 0%, 2.5%, 5%, 7.5%, and 10% of the dry weight of the soil. The CBR values for mixing 0% and 2.5% lime were 43% and 50%, while those for mixing lime 5%, 7.5% and 10% were 66.33%, 64% and 61%. The effect of adding lime to the CBR value gives a significant effect, especially to the addition of 5% lime, which is equal to 66.33%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan benda uji beton berbentuk kubus 15cm x 15cm x 15cm sebanyak 20 buah sampel. Pengovenan dilakukan pada suhu 110°C dengan lama pengovenan selama 7 hari. Pelaksanaan penelitian ini dibagi menjadi 2 tahap, tahap pertama yaitu proses pembuatan benda uji dan tahap kedua yaitu proses pengujian benda uji. Semuanya dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Teknik Sipil STTR Cepu. Kuat tekan beton dengan pengovenan memperoleh hasil kuat tekan rata-rata 12,24 Mpa, nilai kuat tekan tersebut tidak memenuhi kuat tekan beton yang disyaratkan yaitu 14,5 Mpa. Sedangkan kuat tekan beton tanpa pengovenan memenuhi kuat tekan beton yang disyaratkan, yaitu dengan nilai kuat tekan rata-rata 15,83 Mpa. Dari hasil pengujian kuat tekan beton menunjukkan bahwa komposisi campuran 1 : 2 : 3 dengan perbandingan volume diperoleh kekuatan tekan beton yang mencapai beton K.175. Nilai kuat tekan beton yang diperoleh dengan pengovenan pada suhu 110°C pada umur 7 hari menunjukkan hasil kuat tekan tertinggi 13 Mpa. Nilai kuat tekan beton tersebut lebih rendah dibandingkan dengan hasil kuat tekan beton tanpa pengovenan dengan nilai kuat tekan tertinggi 16,45 Mpa. Kuat tekan beton dengan pengovenan pada umur 7 hari tidak memenuhi kuat tekan beton yang disyaratkan yaitu 14,5 Mpa.

Abstract

The compressive strength of concrete is determined by setting the ratio of cement, coarse aggregate, fine aggregate and water. The use of water is used to provide chemical action in hardening concrete, excess water can facilitate work but can reduce the strength of concrete. The compressive strength of concrete produced using tayu coarse aggregate is higher than pamotan coarse aggregate with a characteristic compressive strength that occurs at fc 22 .08, while the compressive strength used coarse aggregate was fc 21.52. So the results show that the concrete test with coarse aggregate from tayu has a greater concrete compressive strength value. The slump value in fresh concrete as an indicator of feasibility and mix quality in fresh concrete uses the minimum value of the required slump value. because the higher the slump produced in fresh concrete will affect the compressive strength of the concrete made.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of adding quartz sand as a soil stabilizing agent on CBR (California Bearing Ratio) values. Methods of soil stabilization using quartz sand were investigated to understand the potential for increasing soil carrying capacity. CBR testing was carried out to compare the characteristics of the stabilized soil with that of the original soil. Various percentages of quartz sand addition (0%, 5%, 10%, and 15%) were tested in this study. The CBR test results showed that the addition of quartz sand increased the CBR soil stabilization value compared to the original soil. The results showed that there was a significant increase in soil stabilization and carrying capacity with the addition of quartz sand. However, there is an optimal limit on the proportion of adding quartz sand that gives the highest CBR value, where after reaching a certain point, the increase in the CBR value becomes slower. This research provides insight into the potential use of quartz sand as a soil stabilizing agent in improving soil carrying capacity, which can be applied in infrastructure construction and geotechnical engineering..Keywords: CBR(California Bearing Ratio), Standard Proctor, Quartz Sand
