Abstract

Background: Kaemferia galanga L is known as a remedy for pain relief muscle disorders empirically. Kaemferia galanga L with Oryza sativa and Cymbopogon citratus can used in a medicinal herb. Kaemferia galanga L has properties as a muscle relaxant, while lemongrass can be efficacious as a headache remedy, cough, stomach pain, diarrhea, body warmers, fever and mosquito repellent. The aim: This research aim to provide the dosage of traditional herb that can be used by the community for the prevention and healt improvement. Method: This research is a descriptive study that was developed from the experience of hereditary regarding the efficacy of kencur, rice and lemongrass for wound healing swelling, bruising and sprains to the skin. In this research, preparations of kencur (Kaemferia galanga L), rice (Oryza sativa) and lemongrass (Cymbopogon citratus) in the form parem puck through the process of drying for 1 day using water-soluble. Parem made by adding of 100 gram and 200 gram simplisia rice (Oryza sativa), 25 ml of water, parem obtained are 100 grams and produces 10 each ringed with a weight of 10 grams. Result: Tests organoleptic for 3 weeks with results showing that there is no negative changes from the shape, color, smell, taste and fungal growth. Conclusion: In this research managed to make preparations in the form parem pieces that can last for 3 weeks.

Abstract

Backgroud: Plant is a biodiversity that all around us, whether it was growing wild and cultivated intentionally. Herbs have been used as a medicinal plant, although its use spread by generations. The aim: This research aim to provide the herbs that can be used by the community for the treatment of colds. Method: This research is a descriptive study developed by the community for generations, conducted interviews to the public regarding the efficacy of purecoconut oil (virgin coconut oil) with a mixture of lemongrass (Cymbopogon citratus DC.) and god leaf (Gynura segetum L.) for currycomb. In this reasearchmade preparations ointment of coconut (Cocos nucifera L.) which become extract virgin coconut oil with lemongrass and god leaf as currycomb through thedeposition process for four days using water-soluble. Ointments made with the coconut two kilograms of shredded added to water as much as one liter of twotimes juice, in the can of coconut milk as much as 1800 ml and filtered coconut milk, settling for three days to produce virgin coconut oil 200 cc, pure coconut oil (VCO) add lemongrass (Cymbopogon citratus DC.) of 20 grams and leaves god (Gynura segetum L.) 20 grams chopped settling for one day then filtered andgenerate ointment five bottles with each weight 20 cc. Result: Results showing test organoleptic dosage for three weeks are not changes the shape, color, taste and smell of mold growth. Conclusion: Research is successful prepare an ointment hold for three weeks.

Abstract

Background: The red galangal (Alpinia purpurata K.Schum) is one of the plants that has been known for its benefits by the people of Tanggulun Barat village RT.23/RW.06 Kalijati, Subang Regency, as swamedication to prevent and treat ringworm. However, medical thecnology developed for the majority of people tends to be synthetically made and does not have any herb characteristics at all, especially in the urban society. Objective: This research aims to produce Red Galangal Rhizomes (Alpinia purpurata K.Schum) anti-ringworm param supply from rice (Oriza sativa L) as stable filler organoleptically. Method: Etnofarmacology was used as a design in this research. This research begins with the accumulation of data through interview with the people of Tanggulun Barat village RT.23/RW. 06 Kalijati, Subang Regency which become the reference to produce param supply with variable time length of drying in the sunlight in the purpose to find out the effect of water content towards the stability of supply throughout storaging process. Param supply stability testing done by organoleptic observation in three storage variable. Result: Result shows that param supply which was dried in the sunlight for one day had a better color and aroma stability compared to two and three days of drying, while the organoleptic testing of supply results in the difference of form and fungus growth to be not found on all samples, however there have been changes on aroma and color on storage inside open and closed container with the silica gel. Conclusion: The conclusion of this research is that the param supply with the process of drying in the sunlight for one day with closed container storage without silica gel gives fine product and stability which can withstand up to three weeks.

Abstract

Background: Chinese Petai (Leucaena glauca, Benth) is a plant commonly used by the Cikampek community as a traditional wound medicine. Its use is traditionally chosen because it has no side effects to irritate the skin. However, it is impractical and cannot be stored for a long time, so there is a need for innovative, practical and durable preparations for storage. Objective: This study aims to determine how to make gel preparations from leaf extractsChinese petai leaf (Leucaena glauca, Benth) with base of Aloe Vera gel (Aloe Vera L.), and to know the stability of storage at room temperature. Method: This research method uses action research with research instruments in the form of literature studies and observation sheets. Two samples were prepared with the same composition, namely Chinese petai leaf extract (Leucaena glauca, Benth) 15 g and Aloe Vera L. 50 g. Results: The average percentage of yield shrinkage of Chinese petai leaf simplicia (Leucaena glauca, Benth) was 2,46%, Chinese petai leaf extract (Leucaena glauca, Benth) positively contained saponin based on the pH stability test decreased in storage, the gel dispersion obtained obtained met the criteria of 5 cm, homogeneous preparations, and last for 18 days.

Abstract

Background: Fever is a condition where the body temperature is above normal which is above 38°C. Fever can be relieved by synthetic medicine and traditional medicine, one of the medicinal plants that can be used in traditional medicine to control fever is red onion (Allium Cepa var. Ascalonicum).   Objective: The purpose of the study is to make wet tissue from red onoin (Allium Cepa var. Ascalonicum) with fennel oil (Oleum Foeniculum Vulgare) as an instant or ready-to-use fever compress containing natural ingredients. Method: This research uses action research method to use research instruments in the form of observation sheets and a questionnaire test preferences. The preparation is made with a composition between red onion: fennel oil (12: 1, 12: 2, 12: 3). Results: Shows the results of a wet tissue preparation that is durable and stable for 3 weeks of storage at room temperature 20°C-25°C by organoleptic test with the proposiation formula most preferred by respondents is formula 3 with the addition of 3 ml of fennel oil which is 84% aroma and 88% color. Conclusion: Wet wipes are stable in storage for 3 weeks at room temperature and the most preferred preparation by the public is the third formula with the addition of fennel oil as much as 3 ml.

Abstract

Gigi manusia seringkali terpapar oleh berbagai banyak bakteri yang bersarang di permukaan gigi. Salah satunya bisa menyebabkan plak sehingga dibutuhkan produk yang memiliki khasiat sebagai antiseptik untuk mengatasi hal tersebut.Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah dapat mengetahui membuka wawasan dalam pembuatan dan evaluasi sediaan pasta gigi herbal dari kombinasi ekstrak bunga brokoli (Brasicca oleracea var. Italica) dan daun sereh wangi (Cymbopogon nardus) sebagai antiseptik. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah (action research) yang bertujuan untuk menyelesaikan rumusan masalah menggunakan menggunakan 4 siklus, yaitu perencanaan, tindakan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Penelitian ini menggunakan ekstrak bunga brokoli dan daun sereh wangi yang diperoleh dari hasil metode maserasi. Sediaan pasta gigi dibuat menjadi 3 formulasi dengan perbandingan ekstrak sereh wangi, yaitu pada F1 : Kombinasi 2,5 gr gram ektrak brokoli dan 0,3 gram daun sereh ekstrak wangi (2,5 g : 0,3), F2 : Kombinasi 2,5 gr gram ektrak brokoli dan 0,5 gram daun sereh ekstrak wangi (2,5 g : 0,5 g), dan F3: Kombinasi 2,5 gr gram ektrak brokoli dan 0,7 gram daun sereh ekstrak wangi (2,5 g : 0,7 g).Berdasarkan hasil dari 3 formulasi pada sediaan pasta gigi ini semuanya (F1,F2 dan F3) dapat dilanjutkan untuk pengamatan uji organoleptik dan uji pH.Pengamatan dilakukan pada sediaan pasta gigi dri ekstrak bunga brokoli dan daun sereh wangi menggunakan panca indera yang meliputi bau,warna,dan tekstur.Bau aroma F1,F2,F3 tidak tercium dikarenakan kurang banyak formulasi serehnya ,warna pada F1 dan F2 hasil pengamatan memiliki warna hjau kecoklatan dan F3 menghasilkan warna lebih muda yaitu hijau kekuningan ini dikarenakan warna hijau pada brokoli.Untuk Tekstur F1 lebih encer ,F2 lebih kental dari F1 dan F3 lebih padat dari F3,dan F2 dan F3 lebih stabil sediaanya. Simpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa sediaan pasta gigi yang berhasil dibuat dan dapat dikatakan stabil saat diuji pada pengujian organoleptik dan pengujian pH. Namun, pada pengujian organoleptik yang dilakukan ke tiga formulasi tersebut menunjukkan bahwa formula terbai
