Abstract

In 2014, Cikarang Listrindo Energy built a steam power plant in Babelan to participate in the government programs. In April 2017, Unit 1 of PLTU Babelan has been operated. After the plant has been in operation for 4 months, the plant will have a performance test for the main part of the steam power plant, one of which is the steam turbine performance test. This performance test purpose is to get actual performance data where it will be compared to the design data, and it willl be used for warranty from the steam turbine contractor. The performance test is using ASME PTC 6 for steam turbine performance test. The steam turbine performance test can be seen from several parameters such as test capability, heat rate and turbine efficiency. The results of the steam turbine performance test based on the design are: the output power is 138,010 MW; the heat rate is 8865 kJ/kWh; and the turbine efficiency is 87.38%. Meanwhile the results of the performance test based on commissioning are: the output power is 139,295 M; the heat rate is 8919 kJ/kWh; and the turbine efficiency is 87.03%. The actual performance test results are: the output power is 137,595 MW, the heat rate is 8830.64 kJ/kWh, and the turbine efficiency is 88.65%. The tolerance given from ASME PTC 6 is 2%. Exhaust turbine pressure affect the turbine efficiency, where as lower exhaust turbine pressure causes higher turbine efficiency.

Abstract

The Bali electrical network sub system is supported by the Java-Bali power transfer assisted by the Bali power generation. Most of these power plants are not economical, so the Java-Bali power transfer is prioritized. If an island operation occurs, the Bali sub system loses most of the power that supports its load. This loss of power can result in a black out. The Bali sub system must perform overload shedding equal to the loss of Java-Bali power transfer. However, because the magnitude of the Java-Bali power transfer is very dynamic, the amount of Over Load Shedding (OLS) is difficult to predict, so an optimization system is required that can calculate the amount of OLS according to the Java-Bali power transfer at any time. The optimization system can also determine OLS targets before Faults occur based on the Priority Scale. To ensure that the Optimization System has worked properly, an Adaptive Defense Scheme (ADS) simulation was created. In this simulation, the optimization system will be tested using the ADS simulation series. In this simulation, the optimization system will be tested using the ADS simulation series. This system is simulated so that it can work OLS target off contact. This system will be tested for the suitability of the load selection with the amount of Java-Bali power transfer. The load selection is compared with manual calculations using the same method to ensure the optimization system calculations are appropriate. Comparison between the selection of targets for the optimization system with calculations, and working contacts is made by making a suitability matrix. From the tests carried out, it was obtained that OLS System Optimization System target size was calculated with a maximum deviation of 5.5%, a minimum deviation of 0.037%, and an average deviation of 1.03%. The system is also capable of selecting targets with 100% accuracy and can also perform MTDS digital output according to 100% accuracy, that the operational system efficiency can be achieved very significantly.

Abstract

In this research, a 1x2 circular patch microstrip array antenna with feeding line is made which can be used on WiFi and WiMax which work at frequencies of 2.4, 3.7 and 5.8 GHz. This antenna design uses Ansoft HFSS software. Where the simulation results at a frequency of 2.4 GHz obtained a return loss value of -22.28 dB, -19.03 dB at 3.7 GHz and -14.94 dB for 5.8 GHz, VSWR 1.17 for 2.4 GHz, 1.25 at 3, 7 GHz and 1.43 for 5.8 GHz.Gain is 1 dB and directivity is 2,33 dB. The simulation results show that the parameters meet the minimum standard of the performance of an antenna, the Return Loss (RL)<-10 dB for 5.8 GHz, VSWR<2. Therefore, this antenna is suitable for use for WIFI and WLAN applications

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi komunikasi bergerak dimulai dengan teknologi 2G kemudian berkembang ke 2.5G (GPRS), lalu meningkat ke teknologi 3G yang pada akhirnya berkembang lebih jauh lagi ke 3.5G (HSDPA) yang bertujuan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan akan peningkatan layanan data kepada pelanggan. Generasi berikutnya, Long Term Evolution (LTE) dirancang untuk menghasilkan luas cakupan yang yang besar dengan menggunakan teknik antena jamak seperti MIMO 2x2. Penerapan Sistem Antena Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) pada Sistem Antena Single Input Single Output (SISO) melalui analisa perhitungan link budget (antena SISO/MIMO ke Mobile Station) dan Analisa luas cakupan (coverage) atau biasa dikenal dengan RSRP (Reference Signal Received Power) menggunakan peralatan perencanaan (desain tool) IBwave. Penerapan Antena MIMO (2x2) pada Sistem Antena SISO, daya yang diterima secara keseluruhan sebesar 99,60% dimana sudah melampaui batas ambang yang ditentukan/threshold (RSRP ths ) ≥ 95% di level – 95 dBm. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian luas area coverage mengalami peningkatan sebesar 8,6% secara keseluruhan.

Abstract

This study analyzes the suitability of the earthing system of household electrical installations in the Natura Cluster, Bekasi, with the PUIL 2011 standard, considering that the increase in power and degradation of old installations increase the risk. A qualitative approach with data triangulation (measurement, observation, documentation study) was used. The results of earthing resistance measurements with a Digital Earth Tester showed values above the PUIL 2000 standard (<5 Ω) at a depth of 50 cm (average 13.17 Ω) due to the soil structure. However, at a depth of 300 cm, an average value of 0.03 Ω was obtained, meeting the standard. This indicates that the cluster kWh installation meets the feasibility standard at the optimum depth. This study recommends a review of the earthing system, including planting depth, understanding soil characteristics, periodic maintenance. Also, system reassessment, and grounding cable insulator coating. This is intended to improve the safety and reliability of the residential electrical system.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the electric current of elevators equipped with both three-phase induction motors and permanent magnet motors under varying load conditions (0%, 50%, and 90% of elevator capacity). Data was collected through direct observation using a Kyoritsu KEW 2007 current clamp. The results indicate that there is no significant difference in electric current and power consumption between 0% and 90% load conditions for both motor types. However, a notable difference was observed at the 50% load condition. The study suggests that permanent magnet motors are preferable due to their easier maintenance.

Abstract

Water is a natural resource that is very important for life, but often its utilization is less than optimal due to the limitations of an effective monitoring system. This research aims to design and build an Internet of Things (IoT)-based water level monitoring and control system using NodeMCU ESP8266 and Blynk application. The system is designed to operate in manual and automatic modes to improve water usage efficiency and reduce wastage. The research methods include literature study, experimentation, observation, testing, and analysis. The test results show that the system successfully fulfills its functions. The Blynk app can connect with the NodeMCU ESP8266 via Wi-Fi connection, and water level data can be obtained in real-time as long as the device is connected to the internet. In addition, the system can activate the pump manually through the control button, as well as operate automatically by turning on the pump when the water level is below the minimum limit and turning it off when it reaches the maximum limit. With the successful testing, the system is expected to be an effective solution for monitoring and controlling water levels in real-time, thus supporting more efficient and sustainable water management.

Abstract

Currently very rapid technological advances make it possible for various efforts to provide convenience and comfort for humans. One effort to provide convenience and comfort is through the development of home automation systems (Home Automation). One automation system that can be implemented at home is a system that can open the gate automatically without having to get out of the vehicle. Through the development of this system, it is hoped that house residents can open the gate from a certain distance without having to interact directly with the gate. Based on technological developments, especially in the field of electronics, telecommunications and applications, there is a microcontroller system, namely Arduino Uno, which can be used by humans to communicate with Android smartphones via the NodeMcu Esp8266, so that it can be used for gate opening applications without using conventional methods, but is quite accessible. via an Android smartphone only, the overall circuit of the gate system with Android control is divided into 3 parts, including: power supply, input section and output section. The power supply section is the voltage input obtained through the adapter. The input section consists of 1 input, namely Android, Arduino uno R3 and NodeMcu Esp8266. The output section consists of a servo motor and buzzer and LED light.

Abstract

Energi listrik sangat penting dalam kehidupan modern dan kebutuhannya terus meningkat seiring pertumbuhan populasi. Hal ini menuntut pengembangan sistem distribusi listrik yang andal. Salah satu masalah umum dalam sistem distribusi adalah rendahnya faktor daya (cos φ < 0,85 lagging), sering disebabkan oleh beban kapasitif berlebih, yang berdampak pada susut tegangan dan penurunan kualitas daya. Gedung X di Jakarta, yang memiliki kapasitas listrik besar dan menggunakan panel LVMDB serta kapasitor bank 700 kVar, mengalami anomali pembacaan pada digital power meter saat kondisi off operasional. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi sistem kontrol instalasi listrik dan mengidentifikasi penyebab pembacaan beban tidak normal. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif melalui observasi, pengukuran langsung dengan alat ukur seperti tang ampere dan thermal imaging camera, serta studi literatur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kapasitor bank yang tetap terhubung tanpa beban nyata menyebabkan cos φ menurun dan pembacaan beban meningkat secara tidak wajar. Hal ini disebabkan oleh kontaktor yang tidak terputus sepenuhnya. Setelah kapasitor dilepas, arus listrik turun dan faktor daya meningkat, sesuai standar Permen ESDM No. 20 Tahun 2020.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan alat yang dapat mengontrol dan memonitoring status posisi beroperasi atau tidak (standby) genset di lokasi pelanggan tanpa harus datang ke lokasi unit genset yang posisinya berjauhan satu dengan yang lainnya dan memudahkan team teknisi dalam mengalanisa parameter genset yang sedang beroperasi. Relay 5V digunakan sebagai pengganti saklar manual yang ada, untuk mengontrol relay tersebut digunakan Mikrokontroler esp8266 berbasis IoT (Internet of Thinks). Modul ini menggunakan alat ukur digital yang berasal dari pembacaan sensor PZEM004T yang diharapkan mampu mempermudah proses pengukuran arus, tegangan dan daya generator agar menjadi lebih efisien dan efektif. Sistem ini diharapkan dapat mempermudah pengguna untuk melakukan aktifitas pengoperasian & maintenance. Hasil pengujian alat ini dapat digunakan memonitor semua perintah yang dikirim dengan baik. Sistem ini dapat mengirimkan pemberitahuan hasil kontrol dan monitor dalam bentuk data digital real time dengan menggunakan aplikasi blynk yang berbasis IoT. Hal ini membuktikan bahwa alat kontrol dan monitor ini bekerja secara baik.
