Business is an economic activity in which goods and services are produced, bought or sold  for  maximum  profit.  The  profit  of  a  business  is  influenced  by  many  factors,  namely, operational costs, production costs, product selling prices, sales volume, demand and others. The purpose of this study is how to analyze the application of the derivative concept based on the maximum profit that can be obtained by UMKM Keripik Dewi. as for calculating the maximum profit, several steps are taken, namely: (1) The steps for applying the derivatives, and in this step are divided into (a) the formulation of several necessary variables, (b) carrying out the preparation of mathematical models, (c) completing the calculation of mathematical models, (2) the company getting the profit on only three products. Made, so that this company has not fully obtained the maximum profit that has the potential to be achieved.

Abstract

The rapid growth of Indonesia's beauty industry has made consumer loyalty a strategic focus for cosmetic brands, particularly among Generation Z. This study analyzes the influence of brand ambassadors and product quality on customer loyalty in the context of Wardah, a leading halal beauty brand. Using a quantitative method, a survey was distributed to 100 respondents who follow Ayana Jihye Moon—Wardah's brand ambassador—on Instagram. Data analysis employed multiple linear regression, t-tests, F-tests, and classical assumption tests (validity, reliability, normality, multicollinearity, and heteroscedasticity). Results indicate that the brand ambassador has a significant positive effect on customer loyalty (t = 2.706, p < 0.05), while product quality does not show a significant effect (t = 1.003, p > 0.05). However, both variables simultaneously influence customer loyalty significantly (F = 43.756, p < 0.05). These findings highlight that the emotional connection built through a well-chosen brand ambassador, especially one aligned with consumer values like Ayana, plays a more decisive role in forming brand loyalty among Gen Z than product quality alone. While product quality remains essential, it is insufficient without effective communication and brand representation. This research contributes to understanding consumer behavior in the digital era and offers insights for marketers to tailor strategies for maintaining brand loyalty in a competitive market.

Abstract

This article discusses the results of research on the application of sub-functions in economic mathematics to demand and supply functions. Function material is often used by experts in solving economic problems. The purpose of this study was to determine student activity during learning sub-functions in economic mathematics to demand and supply functions, to determine student responses when learning functions in economic mathematics to demand and supply functions. The research method used was quasi-experimental, with a one-shot case study research design. The population of this study were all students of the Accounting study program and the sample was students of the Accounting study program in the first semester of STIE Bina Karya Tebing Tinggi. The statistics used in this study were descriptive statistics with the data analyzed being qualitative data. The research instruments used were observations of student activities and observations of lecturers' activities in teaching, interviews, and Likert-scale questionnaires. Based on the analysis of student observation sheets, student activity during learning sub-functions in economic mathematics to demand and supply functions increased. Based on the analysis of the questionnaire, students responded positively to the learning of sub-topics of functions in economic mathematics regarding demand functions and supply functions.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the characteristics of student learning styles which consist of visual, auditory and kinesthetic learning styles. The subjects of this research were second semester students of class D in the management study program. The method used in this research is the field study method. Field research is collecting data directly in the field using data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews and documentation studies. The results of the research show that the characteristics of student learning styles in the economic statistics course show that the most dominant student learning style is the visual type learning style. It was explained that 66.93% of students tended to have a visual learning style, 19.77% for an auditory learning style, and 13.30% for a kinesthetic learning style. This shows that the most dominant student learning style is the visual type learning style where students tend to learn by observing things. Students find it easier to remember things they see, like to scribble things that are sometimes meaningless in class, like the lecturer's explanations by showing something. The results of this research also show a combination of learning style characteristics with tendencies towards different learning style characteristics.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to analyze and describe the difficulties experienced by students in solving economic mathematics questions on demand function and supply function material in terms of mathematical problem solving abilities. This research is a qualitative descriptive research with a case study approach. The subjects in this research were 35 first semester Management Study Program students at STIE Bina Karya Tebing Tinggi. Data collection was carried out through tests and interviews. The test questions are in the form of a description of 2 questions to determine the level of the subject's mathematical problem solving ability. Meanwhile, interviews were conducted in a structured manner based on guidelines that had been created, with the aim of finding the subject's level of difficulty through data obtained from the subject's answers during the written test. The data obtained was then analyzed based on Milles and Hubermen's analysis flow, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions or data verification. The results obtained from this research are that subjects who have a KMT level tend not to have difficulty in solving questions. At the KMS level, subjects tend to have difficulty applying principles and solving verbal problems. At the KMR level, subjects tend to experience difficulties in solving questions, namely understanding concepts, applying principles and verbal problems.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the mathematical concept comprehension abilities of 10th-grade students in Class X-3 at SMA Negeri 1 Raya Kahean, focusing on trigonometry. The study adopts a descriptive approach with a qualitative methodology, and subject selection is carried out through purposive sampling, involving 35 students. The research instruments include field observations and essay-based tests. The findings reveal that the mathematical concept comprehension abilities of Class X-3 students in trigonometry are categorized as high at 11.42%, moderate at 48.57%, and low at 40%.
