Abstract

In the context of attending the commemoration of other religions' holidays in the view of the Qur'an, there are almost no verses that specifically discuss the issue of "attending the celebrations of other religions". Based on the search for various commentary books online and offline related to the issue of "attending other religious celebrations", there are indeed opinions that strictly prohibit (forbid) and there are also opinions that allow. Their opinions are based on several verses which they make as evidence (argument) in addressing the problem of attending to the commemoration of non-Islamic religious holidays. As for those who prohibit referring to the surah, among others; Al-Qur'an surah al-Furqon verse 72, Al-Qur'an surah al-Kafirun verses 1-6, Al-Qur'an surah al-An'am verse 108, Al-Qur'an surah al-Mumtahanah verse 8. Whereas those who are allowed to attend non-Islamic holidays will refer to the following verses; Al-Qur'an surah Al-An'am verse 108, Al-Qur'an surah al-Mumtahanah verse 8, Al-Qur'an surah al-Kafirun verses 1-5, Al-Qur'an surah Al-Furqon verse 72. The purpose of this paper is for consideration for Muslims to find out about the context of attending the celebrations of other religions (non-Islamic). Furthermore, the approach used in this paper is the Al-Qur'an approach which is explained through interpretation. Hopefully, this article is useful for readers and can be used as an illustration to find out the opinions of people who allow and expect to attend other (non-Islamic) Gama holidays.

Abstract

Abstract

Dakwah Social Media is a must that must be thought of and implemented by dakwah actors. Social media preaching has many advantages including being able to penetrate space and time boundaries with relatively affordable costs and energy. Communicating da'wah as a large area of land because users of internet services have increased dramatically every year. Social media preaching has become a variant of public choice. They are free to choose the da'wah material they like. Thus, da'wah is more egalitarian and far from being coercive. Varied delivery methods make social media preaching able to reach a wider range of mad'u. The da'wah movement must pay attention to various accompanying problems that arise in society. As a consequence, a da'i or mubaligh must be part of the whole society who aspires to build a civilized and prosperous life. Because of that, what he should "produce" are good and praiseworthy things. Da'wah, therefore, is a form of socio-religious service for a dignified life by being actively involved in solving problems. The point is that preaching should be a problem solving, not a part of the problem.

Abstract

Today, the problem that arises due to the increase in social media users is the number of hoaxes that are widespread around us. Suppressing hoaxes on social media can be categorized as very difficult. Because the phenomenon that occurs in society assumes that hoax is a trivial matter. So that, the spread of hoaxes through social media has become a common thing in everyday life. This paper uses a literature study method to see how solutions can be made at the personal level to deal with hoaxes. The concept offered is "3S" which is based on Qs. Al-Hujurat (49):6. The concept of the idea of "3S" is oriented to the individual ability of social media users to prevent and ward off hoaxes. The concept of the "3S" idea is to be selective in receiving news, searching before sharing, and being aware of the dangers of hoaxes. It is hoped that the implementation of this idea can stop the spread of hoaxes on social media.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between interpersonal communication carried out through the Whatsapp Group and the Arabic language skills of Madrasah Aliyah students in Pangkalpinang. This research takes the time setting during the pandemic so that learning is carried out online using the Whatsapp Group. By using stratified random sampling, this study used 132 students as the sample. Correlational research using the product moment formula to analyze the results was carried out by distributing questionnaires about interpersonal communication which contained openness, empathy, support, positive attitudes and equality. Based on calculations performed with SPSS, it is known that the data is normally and linearly distributed. Furthermore, no positive and significant relationship was found between interpersonal communication and the Arabic language skills of Aliyah madrasah students in Pangkalpinang because the calculated p value > critical p is 0.483 > 0.005. Learning was carried out via the Whatsapp Group so that teachers and students were not met face to face especially at that time they were in class X which had never met the teacher face to face which could be the cause of the absence of a relationship between the two variables above.

Abstract

The skeptical Orientalist discourse regarding the historical issue of the codification of the Qur'an, which is often stereotyped as being antagonistic towards the Qur'an, exhibits a heterogeneity of methodological approaches. The emergence of diverse methodologies among skeptical Orientalists is influenced by various underlying factors, leading to different implications as well. This study aims to examine the various methodologies proposed by skeptical Orientalists concerning the history of the canonization of the Qur'an. The diversity of methodologies, driven by differing interests, illustrates that the study of the codification of the Qur'an arises from scientific objectives rather than solely from an antagonistic stance towards the Qur'an. To substantiate this argument, the study employs qualitative methods, using primary data from the works of John Wansbrough, John Burton, and Alphonse Mingana, which are then analyzed using the pre-understanding theory developed by Hans Georg Gadamer. The study demonstrates that the diverse pre-understandings possessed by skeptical Orientalist figures, which subsequently give rise to specific objectives in studying the historical issues of the codification of the Qur'an, contribute to the heterogeneity of methods utilized in their studies. For instance, John Wansbrough employs modern Gospel studies—which have proven capable of liberating Gospel studies from fundamentalist tendencies—as a methodological basis in the study of Islam in general and the study of the Qur'an in particular, bringing it into the same skepticism developed in modern Gospel studies. This has implications for the importance of positioning the process of writing the Qur'an as a human process that can be tested, selected, proven, and objectively verified.
