ABSTRACT Learning Islamic Cultural History is difficult to understand if it relies solely on the lecture method, as students are not encouraged to think actively. A monotonous learning model makes students feel bored, tired, and passive, thus requiring a more effective and efficient learning approach. This study aims to describe the implementation of the cooperative learning model, specifically the Group Investigation (GI) type assisted by a question box, in teaching Islamic Cultural History (SKI) at MI Nurul Islam Samuda. Additionally, the study aims to determine student learning activity and learning outcomes after the implementation of this model. Furthermore, the study examines whether the GI-type cooperative learning model assisted by a question box has an effect on students' learning activity and learning outcomes in SKI lessons. The research method used is quantitative with a One-Group Pretest-Posttest design. Data collection techniques included student activity observation sheets and test items. The results show that the implementation of the GI-type cooperative learning model assisted by a question box was highly effective, with an observation score of 96. Student activity was classified as very active with a score of 86.21, and learning outcomes were also excellent with an average score of 84.70. The paired sample t-test indicated a significant difference before and after the treatment, with a significance value of 0.000 and t-values of -25.198 (learning activity) and -6.693 (learning outcomes), respectively. This shows a significant difference in student learning activity and outcomes before and after the implementation. Thus, the applied learning model proved effective in improving both student engagement and academic performance on the topic of the adult life of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in Grade III at MI Nurul Islam Samuda. ABSTRAK Pembelajaran Sejarah Kebudayaan Islam sulit dipahami jika hanya mengandalkan metode ceramah, karena siswa kurang didorong untuk berpikir aktif. Model pembelajaran yang monoton membuat siswa bosan, lelah, dan pasif, sehingga diperlukan model pembelajaran yang lebih efektif dan efisien. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan model pembelajaran cooperative learning tipe GI (Group Investigation) berbantu question box pada pembelajaran Sejarah Kebudayaan Islam (SKI) di MI Nurul Islam Samuda. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga bertujuan untuk mengetahui keaktifan belajar siswa dan hasil belajar siswa setelah diterapkan model tersebut. Selanjutnya, penelitian ini juga mengkaji apakah terdapat pengaruh model cooperative learning tipe GI berbantu question box terhadap keaktifan dan hasil belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran SKI. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan desain One-Group Pretest-Posttest. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi lembar observasi keaktifan belajar siswa dan tes soal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model cooperative learning tipe GI berbantu question box sangat efektif, dengan nilai observasi 96. Keaktifan siswa tergolong sangat aktif dengan skor 86,21, dan hasil belajar juga sangat baik dengan rata-rata nilai 84,70. Uji paired sample t-test menunjukkan adanya perbedaan signifikan sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan, dengan nilai signifikansi 0,000 dan t hitung masing-masing -25,198 (keaktifan belajar) dan -6,693 (hasil belajar). Hal ini menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan signifikan antara keaktifan belajar dan hasil belajar siswa sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan. Dengan demikian, model pembelajaran yang diterapkan terbukti berpengaruh dalam meningkatkan keaktifan belajar dan hasil belajar siswa pada materi Masa dewasa Nabi Muhammad SAW pada kelas III MI Nurul Islam Samuda.
