Abstract

Oil palm plantations of PT. Socfin Indonesia (Socfindo) Aek Loba area has been planted with oil palm since 1931, currently has plants from generation I (± 31 years), II (± 47 years), III (± 74 years), and IV (± 86 years) . The difference in the length of time of utilization and management of plantation land in each generation also determines the presence, both species, density, relative density, and the frequency of the presence of soil macrofauna. Soil macrofauna plays a role in maintaining the balance of the soil ecosystem. This research has been conducted at PT. Socfindo Kebun Aek Loba in February 2017- April 2018. This research was conducted to determine the presence of soil macrofauna on oil palm plantation land of PT. Socfin Indonesia (Socfindo) Aek Loba plantation area. Determination of the sampling point is done by the Purposive Random Sampling method, soil macrofauna sampling using the Quadratic and Hand Sorting methods. There are 29 species of soil macrofauna which are grouped into 2 phyla, 3 classes, 11 orders, 21 families, and 27 genera. The highest density value is in the Generation II area of 401.53 ind / m2 and the lowest density value is in the Generation IV area of 101.59 ind / m2. Frequency The presence of soil macrofauna in the four generations consists of 4 species, namely Pontoscolex corethrurus, Geophilus flavus, Vostax apicedentatus, and Solenopsis fugax.

Abstract

One of the typical spice plants found in North Sumatra is andaliman. Apart from being offered in conventional shops, Andaliman has also penetrated foreign markets. a significant increase in exports is certainly good news and a symbol of hope. The research locations are Laerias District (Dairi Regency) and Raya Haluan District (Simalungun Regency). These two sub-districts are the main andaliman producing sub-districts recorded at the Kuala Namu postal Quarantine Center, Medan. The Andaliman farmers sampled were 135 people consisting of 63 farmers in Dairi Regency and 75 farmers in Simalungun Regency. The research results show that production factors, land area, export prices and local prices do not have a significant effect on the export value of andaliman at the research location which is the main andaliman producing area in North Sumatra province

Abstract

This study aims 1) to find out and analyze how to determine the criteria for certified seeds and 2) to find outand analyze the difference in income levels of certified cocoa seed nursery farms in North Sumatra Province. This research was conducted at seed breeders located in Deli Serdang Regency and Pematang Siantar City. The number of respondents is 5 certified seed breeders who have met several predetermined criteria. The research method used in this study was a survey method, data collection was carried out onJanuary to March 2023.The objectives of this research are answered quantitatively by using the analysis of Total Revenue, Nett Revenue, R/C Ratio and B/C Ratio. The results of the study showed that the cocoa nursery farming carried out provided benefits to all cocoa seed breeders. In the feasibility analysis it is known that the cocoa nursery farming business shows that the cocoa nursery business has received an appropriate assessment of PT. Sahabat Sejati, CV. Prince Agung, CV. Putera perkasa and CV. Dharma Nusantara but the nursery business carried out by CV. Wana Bhakti received an unworthy rating.

Abstract

PTPN III Rantauprapat Estate in Labuhan Batu Regency is engaged in plantations that manage the cultivation of oil palm and rubber plants and the Rubber Processing Plant (PPK) industry. Harvesting is one of the most important activities in the cultivation of oil palm plants, therefore the income satisfaction of harvesting employees needs attention from the company. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of Topography, Number of dependents and Age of harvesters on Income Satisfaction of Oil Palm Harvesters in the Rantau Prapat PTPN III Plantation. This study uses multiple linear analysis and cross tabulation test analysis between topographic factors, age and number of dependents of harvesters with income satisfaction. The results showed R Square of 0.595 or 59.50% topography variables, age and number of dependents affect income satisfaction. From the results of the analysis it is concluded that the type of topography, age and number of dependents of employees affect the income satisfaction of oil palm harvesters in the Rantauprapat Plantation of PTPN III. The positive work environment of the company as well as the level of experience and the level of expectations have a positive effect on employee income satisfaction.
