Abstract

Purpose – This study aims to evaluate the content validity of an Arabic language learning interest questionnaire for fifth-grade students of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah, as interest is one of the key affective factors influencing student engagement and academic success, particularly in language learning. Methodology – The research employed a content validation design using the Aiken's V technique. The instrument consisted of 25 statement items assessed by three expert validators. Each item was rated using a five-point Likert scale to determine its relevance and clarity. The data were analyzed quantitatively using the Aiken's V formula to determine the degree of content validity. Findings – The analysis revealed that 21 items had moderate content validity (V ranging from 0.50 to 0.83), while 4 items demonstrated high content validity (V > 0.83). These results indicate that the questionnaire possesses acceptable content quality and can be considered a suitable preliminary tool for assessing students’ interest in learning Arabic. Novelty – This study contributes to the limited pool of validated instruments tailored specifically for assessing Arabic learning interest at the elementary Islamic school level in the Indonesian context. Significance – The findings are valuable for curriculum developers, Arabic language educators, and educational researchers seeking to understand better and measure students’ affective engagement. The study also lays the groundwork for further validation efforts involving construct validity and reliability testing.

Abstract

Social media, particularly Twitter, has become a pivotal platform for political discourse, with influential accounts shaping public opinion and political conversations. This study focuses on @yunartowijaya and @PartaiSocmed, influential Indonesian political accounts, to analyze their tweets using text analysis and data mining. The research aims to uncover prevailing political trends and subjects, shed light on the impact of these accounts on public opinion, and understand the dynamics of their interactions on social media. Through sentiment analysis and topic clustering, the study provides valuable insights into the role of social media in modern politics and how specific actors shape political conversations and influence Indonesian politics on Twitter. The findings have practical implications for refining digital-era political communication strategies, offering valuable knowledge about the digital political landscape. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap tren politik yang dominan, memberikan gambaran tentang dampak akun-akun ini terhadap opini publik, dan memahami dinamika interaksi mereka di media sosial. Melalui analisis sentimen dan pengelompokan topik, penelitian ini memberikan wawasan berharga tentang peran media sosial dalam politik modern dan bagaimana aktor khusus membentuk percakapan politik serta memengaruhi politik Indonesia di Twitter. Temuan ini memiliki implikasi praktis untuk menyempurnakan strategi komunikasi politik era digital, memberikan pengetahuan berharga tentang lanskap politik digital. Abstract

This study examines the content validity of a mathematics learning independence instrument for junior high school students, developed based on five key dimensions: initiative, discipline, responsibility, time management, and problem solving. The instrument includes 20 items rated by four experts using a 1–5 Likert scale. Aiken's V index was used to measure expert agreement on item relevance. Results showed that 6 items had high validity (V ≥ 0.8125), 13 had moderate validity (0.5 ≤ V < 0.75), and 1 item had low validity (V = 0.375). The highest V score was 0.875, and the lowest was 0.375. These findings indicate that most items are acceptable but may require slight revision to better reflect the intended constructs. The study highlights the importance of expert input and the utility of Aiken’s V in validating instrument content. A valid instrument is essential for accurately assessing student learning independence, especially in junior high school mathematics education.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Various challenges are still encountered in physics learning at the senior high school level, particularly related to students’ low conceptual understanding and higher order thinking skills (Higher Order Thinking Skills/HOTS). This condition highlights the need for instructional innovations that are able to provide more contextual and meaningful learning experiences for students. This study aims to develop and implement an instructional medium in the form of an interactive physics teaching aid simulation based on waste materials, integrated with the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model and the Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) approach. The research was conducted using the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method at SMAN 2 Gunungputri Bogor, involving eleventh-grade students as the research subjects. The research process was carried out through several cycles consisting of planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection stages.The findings indicate that the use of innovative instructional media based on waste materials contributes to improving students’ conceptual understanding while also fostering the development of higher order thinking skills through contextual problem-solving activities. The implementation of the PBL model combined with the TaRL approach allows learning to be tailored to students’ ability levels, thereby providing more meaningful learning experiences. Thus, it can be concluded that physics instructional media innovations based on waste materials, integrated with PBL and TaRL, are effective in enhancing students’ conceptual understanding and HOTS in senior high school physics learning. ABSTRAK Berbagai permasalahan masih ditemukan dalam pembelajaran fisika di tingkat SMA, khususnya terkait rendahnya pemahaman konsep dan kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi (Higher Order Thinking Skills/HOTS) siswa. Situasi ini menunjukkan perlunya inovasi pembelajaran yang mampu memberikan pengalaman belajar yang lebih kontekstual dan bermakna bagi peserta didik. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan serta menerapkan media ajar berupa simulasi alat peraga fisika interaktif berbasis bahan limbah yang dipadukan dengan model Problem Based Learning (PBL) dan pendekatan Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL). Penelitian dilaksanakan menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) di SMAN 2 Gunungputri Bogor dengan melibatkan siswa kelas XI sebagai subjek penelitian. Proses penelitian dilakukan melalui beberapa siklus yang mencakup tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi.Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media ajar inovatif berbasis bahan limbah berkontribusi terhadap peningkatan pemahaman konseptual siswa sekaligus mendorong pengembangan kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi melalui aktivitas pemecahan masalah kontekstual. Penerapan model PBL yang dikombinasikan dengan pendekatan TaRL memungkinkan pembelajaran berlangsung sesuai dengan tingkat kemampuan siswa, sehingga memberikan pengalaman belajar yang lebih bermakna. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa inovasi media ajar fisika berbasis bahan limbah yang terintegrasi dengan PBL dan TaRL efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep dan kemampuan HOTS siswa pada pembelajaran fisika di SMA.
