Abstract

INCREASING COMMUNTY INVOLVEMENT AND ECONOMIC VALUE OF HOUSEHOLD AND MARKET SOLID WASTE THROUGH CULTIVATING BLACK SOLDIER FLY MAGGOTS. The Klaten Regency area has at least more than 80 traditional markets owned by villages and local governments spread across a number of locations. Every market produces organic waste. About 60% of waste is generated from traders and 40% from residents around the market. Besides that, the community also produces large amounts of household solid waste. This service activity aims to increase the economic value of waste and the involvement of the community in Gempol Village, Karanganom District, Klaten Regency through the cultivation of black soldier fly (BSF). The service method starts with team formation, formulation of goals and outcome, identification of stakeholders, data collection and needs analysis, determination of priority problem solutions, preparation, implementation, mentoring, review and evaluation, determining new needs and targets. The result shows that Gempol village is ideal when managing household and market waste through BSF maggot cultivation. Through BSF maggot cultivation, household and markets solid waste are able to add economic value in a period of 7 days to 15 days. Dry maggot has a high selling value ranging between Rp. 95.000 / kg. Maggot derivative products such as fish feed, poultry feed, fishing bait range from Rp. 325.000/kg. The first outcome from this service activity was the enthusiasm of the community to be involved in managing household and market solid waste. The second outcome was stakeholder involvement, in this case the Environment and Forestry Service (DLHK) of Klaten Regency. The third outcome is opportunities for cooperation between participants (especially farmer groups) and universities. Participants hope that there will be sustainable activities, mentoring, and collaboration with other parties.

Abstract

SDG’s merupakan kelanjutan dari MDG’s. Dari hasil evaluasi diperlukan langkah konkret untuk mewujudkan pembangunan global pada tahun 2016-2030. Salah satu tujuan SDG’s pada pilar pembangunan lingkungan hidup antara lain memastikan ketahanan pangan dan gizi yang baik, mencapai akses universal ke air dan sanitasi. Akses universal air menjadi prioritas pemerintah, melalui gerakan 100-0-100 yaitu mentargekan penyediaan 100% akses aman air minum, 0% kawasan permukiman kumuh, dan 100% akses sanitasi layak. Kebutuhan akan air oleh manusia tidak ada habisnya, terutama air bersih. Maka dalam rangka percepatan capaian akses air bersih di wilayah Indonesia, perlu adanya evaluasi dari aspek teknologi, sosial, dan budaya. Pada studi kasus program percepatan capaian air bersih, Kabupaten Madiun, Desa Bodag menjadi salah satu kawasan strategis yang memiliki potensi sumber daya alam sebagai wilayah konservasi lingkungan dalam pelestarian hutan dan perlindungan air bersih. Sehingga memiliki potensi sumber mata air yang berkualitas. Namun permasalahan yang yang terjadi, hampir seluruh masyarakat tidak memiliki akses air bersih yang layak. Sehingga, penerapan teknologi distribusi air bersih diaplikasikan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas penduduk yang terlayani dengan air bersih dan diharapkan dapat mempercepat capaian akses aman air minum Indonesia di tahun 2020.

Abstract

The tofu industry is currently expanding in Indonesia, especially in Purwogondo Village, Kartasura District. In the village, the majority of the population produces tofu. Tofu production is still carried out using traditional and simple technology. This causes the level of efficiency in the use of water and raw materials is still low but the level of waste production is also relatively high. Based on the research that has been done, the human resources involved or the workers in the tofu factory in the village generally have a relatively low level of education, so that not many workers and the tofu industry themselves do waste treatment properly. This research was conducted at the Tofu Factory of Mr. Parji which is one of the tofu factories in Purwogondo Village, Kartasura District, the study aims to analyze how the application of green accounting through the concept of green innovation in the waste management of Mr. Parji's tofu factory. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, namely by means of observation, direct interviews with relevant informants and documentation studies in the form of pictures. The results obtained from the research that have been carried out show that the application of green innovation to the waste of Mr. Parji's tofu factory has been carried out but has not been maximized. Applications that have been made in the form of solid waste tofu dregs are resold for animal feed or used alone, so that this will have a positive impact on the factory in the form of additional income and the impact on the surrounding environment will not be polluted. As for the liquid waste from the tofu factory, it is left in a shelter so that it just flows into the river.

Abstract

Artikel ini melaporkan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang yang bertujuan meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan peserta dalam memanfaatkan maggot black soldier flies (BSF) dan implementasi recirculating aquaculture system (RAS) untuk meningkatkan efektivitas dan efisiensi proses budidaya lele bagi kelompok budidaya lele di Desa Mojo. Pengabdian dilakukan melalui 2 kegiatan, 1) pendekatan community based research (CBR) dengan melakukan 3 variasi budidaya lele, yaitu T0 (pakan lele komersial, tanpa RAS), T1 (pakan lele komersial + maggot BSF, tanpa RAS), dan T2 (pakan lele komersial + maggot BSF, dengan RAS); 2) Diseminasi hasil CBR. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa budidaya lele dengan maggot BSF + pakan lele komersial yang dikombinasikan dengan implementasi RAS mampu menurunkan biaya pakan dan efektif dalam menjaga kualitas air budidaya. Melalui kegiatan ini, peserta memiliki pengetahuan dan keterampilan awal dalam memanfaatkan maggot BSF dan RAS dalam budidaya lele.Selain itu, pada kegiatan pelatihan dan diseminasi hasil, peserta terlihat antusias mengikuti kegiatan. This article reports community service activities aimed to increase participants’ knowledge and skills in utilizing the BSF larvae and implementing the recirculating aquaculture system (RAS) to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the catfish farming process for the catfish farming group in Mojo Village. We carried out two main activities, 1) a community-based research (CBR) activity by conducting three variations of catfish farming, namely T0 (commercial catfish feed, without RAS), T1 (commercial catfish feed + BSF larvae, without RAS), and T2 (commercial catfish feed + BSF larvae, with RAS); 2) Dissemination of CBR results. The results show that catfish farming with BSF larvae + commercial catfish feed combined with RAS implementation can reduce feed costs and effectively maintain aquaculture water quality. Through this activity, participants acquire initial knowledge and skills in utilizing BSF larvae and implementing RAS in catfish farming. The participants enthusiastically participated in the training activities and dissemination of the results.

Abstract

Today's reading culture is very rarely found because of the times that continue to this day, let alone entering the era of globalization in which there are various kinds of digitization which in general all work can be done easily and quickly. The program, which was created in Cinet Hamlet, Bulurejo Village, Gondangrejo District, Karanganyar Regency, Central Java Province, is related to restoring reading interest during this very massive digitalization era, namely the Cinet Library. The method that devotees use is environmental observation. From the results of these observations, the devotees have not found one from all sides and corners of the literacy place in Cinet Hamlet, namely the library. The purpose of this service is to make children return to reading books even though the digitalization era has entered their age, which are still in elementary school.

Abstract

Berdasarkan Peraturan Pemerintah Daerah Nomor 52 Tahun 2010 tentang Pemindahan Ibu Kota Kabupaten Madiundari Wilayah Kota Madiun ke Wilayah Kecamatan Mejayan, konsekuensi dari penetapan kawasan Perkotaan Mejayan menjadiIbu Kota Kabupaten Madiun menuntut adanya penyediaan lahan untuk mendukung fungsinya sebagai ibu kota kabupaten.Termasuk didalamnya kewajiban penyediaan RTH. Pemerintah Daerah harus menyediakan RTH publik sebesar 20 % dari luastotal kota.Keberadaan RTH sangat diperlukan bagi wilayah perkotaan seperti Perkotaan Mejayan. Selain menambah nilai estetikadan keasrian kota yang bermanfaat sebagai sumber rekreasi publik, secara aktif maupun pasif, RTH juga berfungsi menciptakansuhu udara mikro yang lebih sejuk, menjaga keseimbangan oksigen (O2) dan karbondioksida (CO2), mengurangi polutan, sertamembantu mempertahankan ketersediaan air tanah.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk untuk menganalisis dan mengevaluasiKebutuhan luasan RTH terhadap suhu udara mikro di Perkotaan Mejayan.Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kombinasi antarametode survey dengan teknik purposive sampling serta analisis data sekunder.Analisis suhu menggunakan analisis temperaturideal dengan menggunakan rumus thom, sedangkan analisis kebutuhan RTH dengan metode Geravkis.Tempat penilitiandilakukan pada 7 tempat yang ditentukan sesuai karakterisitik dan pengambilan data suhu udara dilakukan selama 3 hari.Hasilpenelitian ini menunjukkan pada ke enam tempat mempunyai suhu relatif lebih sejuk berkisar 26–31°C, sore 26–33 °Cdi pagi haribekisar dan siang hari berkisar 29–33 °C, akan tetapi data menujukkan bahwa di satu tempat yaitu Pertigaan besar Jalan AhmadYani menunjukkan suhu udara 31- 36,5°C sehingga suhu relatif agak panas., pertigaan besar Jalan Ahmad Yani merupakan jalanarteri primer menuju ibukota provinsi yaitu Kota Surabaya dan menghubungkan Kota Solo.Perkotaan Mejayan berdasarkankebutuhan oksigen memerlukan luas RTH sebesar : 476, 94 ha. Hasil dari penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikanrekomendasi dalampenerapan Undang-Undang Tata Ruang Nomor 26 Tahun 2007 tentang penataan ruang menyebutkanperencanaan tata ruang wilayah kota dan dirancangkan Peraturan Daerah tentang Penyediaan RTH serta meningkatkankenyamanan hunian Perkotaan Mejayan di pandang dari segi lingkungan udara.
