Abstract

ABSTRACT "The Influence of Group Tutoring Services in Improving the Social Interaction Skills of Students". Thesis, Jakarta: Guidance and Counseling Study Program and Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Muhammadiyah University Prof. DR HAMKA, 2024. Social interaction is an activity carried out by individuals or groups to connect with each other. However, at SMPN 1 Cibinong there are several class VII students who low social interaction skills, so efforts are needed to improve social interaction skills by using group tutoring services. The aim of this research is to improve social interaction skills through group guidance services for class VII at SMPN 1 Cibinong. This research uses the Experimental One Group Pre-test and Post-test research method. The population used was 440 class VII students at SMPN 1 Cibinong, with a research sample of 10 students, using a purposive sampling technique. Test the hypothesis using the -T test. Based on the results of calculations using SPSS, it is obtained that t count > t table, with a value of 12,764 > 1,833, then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, which means that influential group guidance services are carried out to improve students' social interaction abilities KEYWORDS:  Influence, Group guidance, social interaction abilities

Abstract

This study is motivated by the presence of disruptive behaviors in the learning process, specifically off-task behavior. Off-task behavior refers to disruptive actions performed by students during the learning process, where they are not engaged in the lesson itself. Off-task behavior consists of three aspects: verbal, motoric, and passive. These behaviors occur due to various factors, one of which is behavior formation, a concept discussed within the behaviorism approach. This study explores effective strategies to reduce off-task behavior in classroom learning through the behaviorism approach. The results indicate that methods such as reinforcement, self-control, individual counseling with behavior contracts, sociodrama, self-control, and token economy enhance student engagement and create a productive learning environment. Implementation challenges include limited facilities and curriculum pressure. Collaboration between teachers, counselors, and the school is key to success. Keywords: Off-task behavior, behaviorism.

Abstract

Bullying adalah topik yang sering dibicarakan saat ini. Perilaku ini seringkali muncul di lingkungan yang seharusnya tidak ada, seperti rumah dan sekolah. Bullying merupakan tindakan agresif dan manipulatif yang dapat menimbulkan konflik antara pelaku dan korban. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pemahaman kepada peserta didik yang diharapkan pemahaman peserta didik terkait bullying dapat meningkat sehingga dapat mencegah terjadinya bullying di lingkungan manapun. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini berupa pemberian materi dalam bentuk ceramah, tanya jawab, dan diksusi. Hasil yang dicapai dalam kegiatan ini adalah meningkatnya pemahaman peserta didik terkait bullying yang diharapkan peserta didik dapat meminimalisir tindakan bullying di sekolah.
